Anurag Kashyap says he currently has ‘five unreleased films'; complains about ‘algorithm and box office' conversations dominating creativity
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has always been very vocal about the norms of the industry. Earlier, he had commented on how the industry is doomed if it continues heading in the direction that it is, and recently, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the director once again didn't mince his words as he spoke about the 'creative desperation' that filmmakers like him are experiencing. Reflecting on his five unreleased films, he said that people in power don't understand good cinema. He said, 'There is creative desperation that we all have to deal with individually. We want to make good films, but people do not understand them. The more good films are released, the more they will realise that they shouldn't make decisions on the basis of algorithms or the box office.' Also Read: Mani Ratnam responds to Anurag Kashyap's complaints about excessive use of English in Tamil songs: 'Sometimes you need a Sugar Baby' While discussing how many of his films are yet to see the light of day, Anurag said, 'My first film, Paanch, was not released. I have five unreleased feature films, Paanch is one of them. Out of these five, two are releasing, and hopefully, the third one will also be released.' Anurag is currently promoting the film Stolen, which stars Abhishek Banerjee, and has been released on Amazon Prime Video. Kiran Rao, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane are the executive producers on this project, along with Anurag. The thriller has been directed by Karan Tejpal and produced by Gaurav Dhingra. Stolen is the story of two brothers from an urban city who become eyewitnesses to a baby being kidnapped from its poor mother at a railway station in rural India. In the past, Anurag has spoken about wanting to quit the Hindi film industry, which he described as creatively bankrupt. He said that the industry would first need to experience rock bottom before it can be rebuilt.

2026 Mahindra Bolero First-Ever Spy Shots Surface- Here's What Changed
Mahindra & Mahindra has quietly initiated the testing process of a new product. Based on the latest spy shots available on the internet, the camouflage-covered test mule appears to be the next-generation Bolero. Carrying the iconic name into the next generation, the test mule gives us a preview of what the latest vehicle based on the NFA platform will look like. The popularity of the name can be understood by the high sales numbers associated with the name, especially in semi-urban and rural areas of the country. The test mule spotted by Motowagon reveals that the next-gen Mahindra Bolero will carry forward its boxy design with an upright stance and dead straight lines. This time around, the brand seems to have added more contours to the mix, with muscles bulging out on the side. With a rather flat bonnet, the SUV seems to have circular LED headlamps along with vertical slat grilles forming its new face. While the design of the bumper is not visible, it is anticipated to be a refreshed unit as well. The rear end of the vehicle continues to be upright with a flat surface and vertically oriented tail lamps. There's a chance that the tailgate will have a spare wheel mount. Furthermore, the brand seems to have fitted larger alloy wheels on the SUV along with a new design for the ORVMs. To make things even more interesting, instead of the regular door handles, the vehicle has flush-type door handles. This can be an indication that the vehicle might command a more premium appeal compared to the current model. Another important thing to note is the presence of the F4 sticker at the rear end of the vehicle. This indicates that it is still a prototype and might go through several stages of scrutiny before reaching its final form, i.e., production-ready version. As per earlier reports, Mahindra will unveil a new platform that might underpin the new generation Bolero. While the technical details are still scarce, chances are it might get a petrol-hybrid and diesel engine.

5 Upcoming Compact SUVs Snapped Testing: Fronx Hybrid To Punch Facelift
India's compact SUV segment is set for exciting updates, with major brands preparing new models and facelifts. From the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid to the new-gen Hyundai Venue, various test mules have been spotted, hinting at upcoming launches. Here's a look at the key models expected to hit the roads soon. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Mahindra is now gearing up for the launch of the electrified iteration of the XUV 3XO. The upcoming XUV 3XO EV was spotted on the test bed and suggests that it will keep the bold and sporty shape of the ICE version, with some updates for electric vehicles. It is expected to get a revised fascia with a tweaked grille and bumper, and a redesigned tailgate and bumper. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid Recently, a non-camouflaged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid was spotted testing in Gurugram, which suggests that the Fronx has undergone minimal design changes. Additionally, according to reports, the Fronx Hybrid will be available with the newly developed Z12 engine, which is already featured in the new Swift. As well, the strong hybrid version of Fronx will have a battery supporting the petrol powertrain working with electric motors. The strong hybrid version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx will be quite different from the Grand Vitara and Invicto. Renault Kiger Facelift The Renault Kiger Facelift was first snapped testing in February, and its updated avatar seems to have very few design changes. It sports the same silhouette as the outgoing version and with alloy wheels that seem to have a similar design to the same size as the outgoing version. Additionally, a look at the front fascia from the side hints at a split-headlamp setup, which seems to be slightly similar to the outgoing version. Similarly, the rear gets the C-shaped tail lamps. Tata Punch Facelift Though the Tata Punch Facelift has been snapped testing recently, there is no sign that the SUV is set for a launch soon. The camouflage test mule suggests that the facelifted Tata Punch borrows most of its design cues from the Tata Punch EV. New-Gen Hyundai Venue The new-gen Hyundai Venue has been spotted testing in India on various occasions, which suggests that the brand is planning to roll out the updated Venue soon. The next-generation Hyundai Venue will have a similar silhouette to the outgoing model. It will have a boxy profile with sharp body lines, as seen in the previous spy shots. Along with this, the front fascia has been redesigned, giving it a refreshed look with revised DRLs, headlamps, and grill.
