Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali are set to share the screen once again in 'Mirage', an upcoming psychological thriller directed by Jeethu Joseph. The second look poster of the movie, which shows both actors in a state of shock, was released by the makers on their social media handle.
Sharing the poster they wrote, "Not every secret stays locked away! Unveiling the second look of Mirage."
A fresh thriller from Jeethu Joseph
'Mirage' looks to be a gripping addition to Jeethu Joseph's filmography, known for delivering tight thrillers like 'Drishyam'. The screenplay is jointly written by Jeethu and Srinivas Abrol, based on an original story by Aparna R Tarakad. The cast also includes Hakim Shahjahan, Hannah Reji Koshy, and Sampath in important supporting roles.
The movie will be the second collaboration between Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali after the success of 'Kishkindha Kaandam' released last year in 2024, where their pairing was well-received.
The technical crew behind 'Mirage' features cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, known for his striking visuals, editor V S Vinayak, and music director Vishnu Shyam. While the makers have not yet revealed a release date, post-production is underway, and updates are expected soon.

On the other hand, Asif Ali is now filming 'Tiki Taka,' an action drama with a sports theme directed by Rohith V S. Aparna Balamurali last appeared with Raj B Shetty in the gloomy psychological drama 'Rudhiram.'

Actor Ishita Dutta hospitalised with son weeks after birth of second child
Actor Ishita Dutta has been admitted to the hospital along with her two-year-old son, Vaayu, only a couple of months after giving birth to her second child. She informed fans about the same with a picture from the hospital. On July 30, the 'Drishyam' actor shared a photo on her Instagram story showing both herself and little Vaayu receiving IV fluids. While their faces weren't visible in the post, it gave a glimpse into the difficult time they've recently she didn't go into detail about the cause of their hospitalisation, Dutta did mention that being unwell had resulted in noticeable weight loss. 'It's been a really tough month At a time when I should have been with my newborn, I was instead making trips to the hospital,' she wrote in her update. 'Thankfully, both Vaayu and I are doing much better now (sic).'She added, 'A lot of you have been asking about my weight loss. It wasn't intentional, just due to being unwell (sic).'
