This Morning's Josie Gibson set to let cameras into her home as brand new show announced

This Morning star Josie Gibson is to take viewers on her journey as she attempts to renovate her house into a 'dream home', even though it could become a 'nightmare'
Josie Gibson is set to let the cameras into her home for a new TV show where she will attempt to build her "dream" home.

The This Morning host, 40, who is mother to six-year-old Reggie, will front a new renovation series for ITV titled Josie Gibson's Big Country Build in which she will go on a mission to transform her dilapidated Somerset property into a modern, 21st century abode. She is determined to assemble her dream home, which will be complete with an on-site gym, walk-in wardrobe, and blacked out windows, and viewers will be able to follow her every step of the way.

What's more, the TV star is keen to be as eco-friendly as possible with the new venture and will be seen installing an underground heat pump to setting up auto flowing beehives, as she looks at the best-possible way she can look after her four acres of land. She is worried, however, that it will all become something of a "construction nightmare", even though she is looking forward to fans coming along for the ride.

Josie explained: 'My dream is to build a house as eco and luxurious as possible where you are immersed in the sanctuary of nature. I want to use the acres of land to try and my best to have a little small holding. I want bees, birds, badgers, to all live in harmony. Though, I'm becoming increasingly concerned that my harmonious dream is slowly turning into a construction nightmare. I can't wait to bring the audience along on this journey with me!'
The seven part series sees Josie teaming up with her brothers, scrap metal traders Josh and Charlie, cousin Buildler Tom, and a whole cast of eccentric locals who will be lending a hand as she sets about putting her passion project into action. Fans will also see Josie making friend with her new neighbours, who could prove crucial to making her dreams a reality when it comes to her lavish property. The whole project is a joint venture with MGM Alternative UK and will be broadcast ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV at some point in 2026.

Josie shot to fame as the winner of Big Brother in 2010 and has gone on to major success since then. After landing a string of business deals following her victory, she moved into mainstream presenting and also featured on a plethora of reality television shows. Most notably, she competed on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023, and has also provided cover as main host of This Morning and regularly presents competitions across the ITV Daytime programmes like Loose Women.
Bosses are thrilled to have been able to give Josie the opportunity to build her dream home on screen, and have promised that fans will see a "completely different side" to her with the move. Katie Rawliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime for ITV and Lily Wilson, Commissioning Editor for ITV.
Sarah Clarke is Series Producer, said: 'She's done a stint in the jungle and tackled all manner of outlandish tasks on This Morning, but our audiences are about to see a completely new side to Josie Gibson as she embraces country life and takes sustainable living to a whole new level!" However, as with any major project, there will be a few "bumps" along the way, and it is thought that there will be "chaos and charm", too.

Noting her lack of experience in renovation, Dom Bird, Senior Vice President, MGM Unscripted said: 'Josie's energy is infectious and her enthusiasm unstoppable. Her renovation experience, however, is less apparent. There'll be chaos, charm, and more than a few bumps in the road as Josie and her band of builders attempt to turn her newly acquired wreck into the dream home she's always wanted'.
South Gloucestershire-born Josie certainly enjoys the finer things in life, as evidenced by her glamour-filled Instagram account. The TV personality looked right at home fronting her recent Channel 5 show, Around The World In First Class, which saw her delve into the world of luxury travel.
Over the course of the show, which aired in February, Josie tried out various high-end travel experiences, from staying in a £16,000 per night Dubai hotel to being a guest on a private island in Sweden.
Opening up about the opportunity at the time, Josie said: 'When I got the call, I thought this cannot be real. I thought it was a wind-up. I think it took me less than a second to say yes.
"If somebody had told the younger me that one day this would be my life, I would never have been able to believe it in a million years. It is better than I ever could have dreamed of. I don't even want to sugar coat it - I'm jealous of me.'

Beloved ITV detective show slapped with 'trigger warning' for crime scenes in 'woke' move

ITV 's Inspector Morse has been slapped with a 'trigger warning' in a move that has been branded ' woke '. The popular series now features a pre-warning for crime scenes throughout the show, which seems to have caused a stir with people online. The streaming giant also advises there are 'satanic images' in one episode of the drama. It then has a parental lock on the episode, titled Day of the Devil. Inspector Morse first aired from 1987 to 2000, with a total of eight series. Other episodes also feature a warning over crime and violence. The popular series now features a pre-warning for crime scenes throughout the show, which seems to have caused a stir with people online Speaking about the update, Senior MP Sir Alec Shelbrooke slammed: 'This is another example of soft-touch Britain seeping into everything. 'We're just going to be laughed at as a country if things like this continue, because nobody's prepared for the real world where there are no.' Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment. In the past, it has said about general alerts: 'Programming that contains politically sensitive or distressing themes, content, or language has carried appropriate warnings since our launch.' Just a few weeks ago, Netflix bosses axed an iconic moment from Pride and Prejudice to avoid 'objectifying men'. The unforgettable scene of Mr Darcy - played by Colin Firth - emerging from a lake was all the rage in 1995. But show bosses have confirmed it will not resurface in the forthcoming version of the rom-com. According to reports, many fans will be disappointed as the famous BBC scene is said to have 'got millions of women hot under the collar'. A source told The Sun: 'It is also credited for sparking subsequent moments of male objectification on screen - likes Aidan Turner's famous topless scything scene in Poldark.' It's claimed that Netflix bosses 'don't want a repeat'. The saucy scene soon became one of the most favourite TV scenes, however it didn't actually feature in Jane Austen's original 1813 story. Arguably the most iconic wet shirt ever worn sold at auction for £25,000 - double its estimated sale price.

They share their strong feelings for one another and, later on in the episode, Harry chooses to recouple with Shakira, leaving Helena and Blu to coupe up. Just a short time later, Harry and Shakira have been seen getting very close in a preview clip played on Love Island's After Sun. Maya played the clip to the panellist and audience members, all of which audibly gasped as they watched Harry snuggle into Shakira and kiss her neck. The 22-year-old could be seen sat on Harry's lap, as the footballer cradled her in the girls' dressing room. She told him they'd be taking "baby steps" as he nestled into her neck after getting their relationship back on track. Eyeing up her lips, Harry leans in to snog Shakira, but she quickly turns away, allowing him to kiss her cheek instead. Earlier in the episode, Harry tells her: 'I have really tried with her [Helena], but we [Shakira and I] had like a week and it was, for me, the feelings were obviously way stronger and still are. "I'm sorry I never like tried again. I really thought the door was just, like, slammed.' Harry and Helena break down in tears as they cut final romantic ties in emotional scenes Shakira responds: 'Do you want some home truths… it's obviously the way you go about it and the steps you take in between to come to these conclusions obviously hurt people along the way. "It's all well and good you saying 'hold my hands up guys, sorry' but you still hurt people. And it's a pattern.' Harry then makes his intentions clear, saying: 'Look, I'm either leaving here alone or with you.' Both Harry and Helena broke down in tears multiple times in Sunday night's episode, as they cut their final romantic ties in emotional scenes. The duo have continued to deal with the fallout from The Grafties on the long-running ITV2 show. Helena told Harry: "You're so selfish, you've literally broken my heart Harry. Like I cannot be your friend in here. "And I will not be your friend on the outside, I can f****** promise you that. I don't want any association with you ever again." When he suggested that the duo may eventually become friends on the outside, she shut him down once again. "I don't think we will be friends Harry. You don't possess any morals or values that I look for when I'm becoming friends with people. "My friends don't treat me like that. I don't think you have an ounce of respect for me, you've literally ruined everything for me in here." She added: "I literally don't want anything to do with you Harry." That's when the footballers couldn't help but tear up after listening to her resounding words of rejection. Helena added: "I feel like I had something genuine in here and it's like obviously it wasn't. "I just feel so stupid because you clearly haven't felt the same as I felt about you this whole time." She couldn't help but wrap her arms around his neck in a gesture of pity as she caressed his face one more time. As they let go she exclaimed: "It's where the journey ends my darling!" 5 The pair were seen gazing at each other in a sneak preview Credit: ITV
