PCC chief challenges KTR's claims on PRLI scheme court verdict
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud has strongly countered BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao's claims that the Supreme Court has given a clean chit on the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, and accused him of misleading the public and trying to cover up past corruption.
Responding to KTR's claims, Mr Mahesh Goud reminded that it was Nagam Janardhan Reddy, then a Congress leader, who had filed the case against irregularities in the scheme. 'With full evidence, he exposed the misdeeds in the project. Later, he was taken into the BRS party, and the case was diluted deliberately,' Mr. Goud alleged.
Questioning the moral integrity of the BRS leadership, he asked, 'How can someone who filed a case against K. Chandrasekhar Rao be welcomed into the same party? Is that not a ploy to bury the case?'
Mr. Goud challenged the BRS working president to write to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, demanding a thorough investigation into the allegations. 'Let the State government decide whether it should be a CID probe or a judicial inquiry. If KTR truly believes he is honest, he should come forward and welcome the investigation,' he asserted.
Only a full and independent probe would reveal the truth about the Palamuru-Rangareddy scheme and expose the alleged corruption, he claimed, adding that the BRS leadership cannot escape scrutiny by twisting court verdicts. 'We will not rest until the truth is brought before the people,' he affirmed.

Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), will be the Chief Minister again. Speaking at the occasion of Telangana Formation Day and BRS Silver Jubilee celebrations held at the Dr Pepper Arena (Comerica Centre) in Dallas, USA, KTR highlighted the achievements under the leadership of KCR. According to an official statement, speaking on Telangana Formation Day and remembering the struggle to statehood, KTR said, 'Many dream, but few make dreams reality. Just as you chased your dreams, in 2001, a man dreamed not for himself but for four crore Telangana people. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B.R. Ambedkar's call to educate, organise, and agitate, and Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have a Dream,' KCR, the lone warrior, began this journey, vowing, 'Stone me to death if I abandon this movement.' 'In three years, we will return to power, and KCR will be Chief Minister again,' he added. According to an official statement, quoting the timeless adage, 'Janani Janmabhoomischa Swargadapi Gariyasi' (Mother and motherland are greater than heaven), KTR began his address, urging NRIs to excel in their fields abroad while also giving back to their motherland. He called on them to invest in Telangana, stating that the state's journey proves nothing is impossible with determination, resolve, and sincerity. KTR vividly recounted the 14-year relentless struggle led by K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), the architect of the Telangana movement, which turned the state into India's number one in just ten years. KTR showcased how Telangana, once neglected and downtrodden due to decades of discrimination under united rule, blossomed into a prosperous, verdant, and vibrant state under KCR's governance. Addressing challenges faced by Telugu students in the U.S. due to Trump-era policies, he assured that BRS would stand by them, announcing the formation of a legal cell to support and protect them in every way. As per the official statement, Rao said, 'The same enthusiasm seen in Telangana during its decennial celebrations is palpable in Dallas today. This is not just a celebration but an occasion to honour the sacrifices of martyrs and every individual who poured their all into achieving Telangana statehood.' KTR lauded the enthusiasm of the NRIs and remembered his earlier visit to Dallas. He said, 'When we decided to celebrate Telangana Formation Day, NRIs unanimously chose Dallas. Today, seeing your enthusiasm and thousands of you gathered here, I don't feel like I'm in America--I feel like I'm in Hyderabad. In 2015, I came to Dallas seeking investments for Telangana. With confidence and faith in our future, we fulfilled our promises and achieved even more, which fills us with pride.' Lauding the governance in BRS' stint in power, he said, 'Under KCR, we seized every opportunity to make Telangana number one. We may have lagged in votes recently, but never in loving Telangana. In power or opposition, for us, Telangana is first, India is first.' 'With schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, we prevented farmer suicides, setting a national example. Sathupalli: On the State Formation Day, BJP leaders from the party's Sathupalli constituency, paid a grand tribute at Telangana Martyrs' Stupa. On this occasion, party Khammam Parliament Convener Namburi Ramalingeswara Rao said that the State, which was formed for water and funds, has today become a waste. 'Telangana State, which was in a surplus budget, has today become a pile of debts,' he said, opining that in the 10 years of BRS rule, the development of State was stunted. Adding a note that the people were fed up of the Congress government, he asserted that in the next elections, the BJP would come to power in Telangana. Mahesh Goud dares Harish Rao for open debate on Kaleshwaram
Hyderabad: TPCC Chief B Mahesh Kumar Goud dared BRS leader Harish Rao for open debate on BRS' misrule. He reiterated that Harish Rao and BJP MP Eatala Rajender held a meeting recently, claiming he has substantial evidence to prove that. Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Mahesh Goud held that Harish Rao, who was boastful of the Kaleshwaram project with a cost of Rs 1.2 lakh crore, should come for an open debate. 'Harish Rao is speaking as if all the projects in Telangana were constructed under the BRS regime. Kaleshwaram's funding has all gone down the drain and has failed even to irrigate an acre of land. With all the Rs 1.2 lakh crore, only poor quality projects were constructed, which could not withstand even three years after being built,' said Mahesh Goud. The PCC president urged Harish Rao to first clear the mess created by MLC K Kavitha before taking on the Congress government and its leaders. He ridiculed the browbeating of the former Irrigation Minister and wondered if BRS would survive to see the next Assembly polls. 'Harish Rao is claiming his party would win 100 seats. Given the scenario, it is doubtful if you can even get a B-form for yourself. You should first decide which group you will represent, as BRS is on the brink of collapse,' he wondered.
