Mint Mobile is giving you a Galaxy S25 with two years of free unlimited service

Phone Arena17-07-2025
Mint Mobile, which recently introduced a fantastic summer sale for Galaxy S25 phones, is now here with arguably an even better offer. The carrier is offering new customers a Samsung Galaxy S25 alongside two whole years of absolutely free and unlimited coverage.
New customers can get a Galaxy S25 for $720, after which they won't have to see a phone bill for the next 24 months. To put it in the simplest terms possible, Mint Mobile is offering you a phone that just works for free. This deal is a limited time offer, so if it's something that you think is worth considering, you'd better hurry. Mint Mobile will ask for an upfront payment of the aforementioned $720, and then you'll be set. After the two years have passed, your plan will then renew at the standard rates.
The only real catch here is that the unlimited data begins to slow down when you've crossed 35 GB of usage in a month. But, given the fact that it's literally free, I don't think there's much to complain about here. It's not like this deal is being offered for some old phone either: our Samsung Galaxy S25 review deemed the phone a solid entry, even if it is a marginal upgrade at best.

In case you're not aware, Mint Mobile is an MVNO ( Mobile Virtual Network Operator ) that uses the expansive and robust network of T-Mobile. If you're hesitating in switching to Mint, know that you're very unlikely to face any coverage problems. Of course, each area across the U.S. is different, so some mild research before jumping all in is still recommended. You can learn more about the Galaxy S25 deal here, where you'll see similar plans for other excellent phones as well. The aforementioned summer sale is still on too, where new customers can get a myriad of plans at massive discounts.
Network carriers across the States are offering better and better deals every other day to retain customers and attract new ones. This intense competition hugely benefits the average consumer, and I hope that we continue to see this in the future. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ in for review

When you think of Galaxy S25 Edge alternatives, your mind doesn't immediately jump to the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+, but maybe it should. This phone is a much closer match to the thin Galaxy than you'd think. At just 5.95mm, it's only slightly thicker than the S25 Edge (5.8mm). The Infinix is lighter, though, at just 155g, and it has a substantially larger 5,160mAh battery. What should sting Galaxy fans more is that the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ also has faster 45W charging. The Hot 60 Pro+ is also a more colorful phone, coming in at no less than seven colorways - Coral Tides, Misty Violet, Cyber Green, Sonic Yellow, as well as the more conservative Titanium Silver and Sleek Black. This green model has what Infinix calls a Scent Weave Leather finish. It's a textured surface with a grippy feel, and it feels excellent to the touch. The Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ feels like a blade in the hand. Its curved front and rear panels are joined by a thin frame, making the package feel very refined. A thin frame The Hot 60 Pro+ looks very similar to the Hot 60 Pro from the front and back. But it's the profile that distinguishes the two. While the Pro+ has curving front and rear panels and a thin frame with rounded corners, the Pro has flat panels and a wide, flat side frame. The Hot 60 Pro is also heavier at 170g and a bit thicker at 6.6mm. The Hot 60 Pro+ on the left, Hot 60 Pro on the right Before we get going, here's a quick unboxing of the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+. It ships with a 45W charger, a USB cable, a tempered glass protector, and a hard plastic case.

New T-Mobile commercial praising Verizon will help T-Mobile in the end

Over 20 years ago, when the time came for me to pick a wireless provider, I wanted the carrier that had the best coverage and was the most reliable. Back then, the choice was easy. Verizon was more expensive than the rest, but you would get what you paid for. With two children, I wanted to make sure that I'd be able to get in touch with them whenever I called. In 2005, Verizon had the best wireless network in the U.S. The T-Mobile of 2005 had absolutely no resemblance to the T-Mobile of today. Led by the EDGE platform, dubbed 2.5G, it would be another three years before T-Mobile customers would get to experience the huge speed increase and improvement in features available with 3G service. The man who would be considered T-Mobile 's savior when he became president and CEO of the company 10 years later, John Legere, was in the process of turning around Global Crossing. The latter is a multinational telecommunications company that was coming out of bankruptcy. T-Mobile 's advertising campaign back in 2005 did not call T-Mobile the "un-Carrier as that name would debut under Legere. The carrier did focus its advertising on teens due to the success of T-Mobile 's Sidekick device. The Sidekick II was released in 2004, and in 2006 the Sidekick 3 was launched. The device had a swiveling screen, a full QWERTY keyboard, and integrated instant messaging and email capabilities. As a messaging device, the Sidekick was a huge hit. On the opposite side of the spectrum was Verizon , whose network was considered the most reliable with the fewest dropped calls. However, Verizon 's plans were more expensive than T-Mobile 's. Back in 2005, if you wanted to have your phone connected to the most reliable cell service, you signed up with Verizon and paid more for that reliability. Verizon was considered to have the best wireless service in the U.S., a title it owned for many years. Legere was named president and CEO of T-Mobile in September 2012 and he immediately helped to turn around T-Mobile with his splashy, pro-consumer un-Carrier announcements. The first one, announced in 2013, got rid of subsidized phones and two-year contracts. In 2016, T-Mobile announced the T-Mobile Tuesdays customer reward program, which has been a huge hit with customers. Another un-Carrier perk gave subscribers free Netflix streaming. Legere's brash comments knocking the competition also caught the attention of young consumers who were soon moving to T-Mobile in droves. By August 2020, T-Mobile , at one time dead last among the four major U.S. carriers, was number two behind only Verizon. T-Mobile was the first to recognize the importance of having mid-band spectrum for 5G use. | Image credit-T-Mobile A poor decision made by AT&T and Verizon and a brilliant one made by T-Mobile turned around the U.S. wireless market. Verizon and AT&T decided to start building out their 5G networks with millimeter wave spectrum (mmWave), the airwaves that deliver the fastest download data speeds. But what Verizon and AT&T didn't take into account is that mmWave airwaves only travel short distances. This could prolong the time and expense of building out their 5G networks. T-Mobile had a different plan and that was to use mid-band spectrum to build its 5G network. While mid-band 5G isn't as fast as mmWave, it is still much faster than the low-band 5G used for nationwide 5G networks. While mid-band spectrum may not travel as far as low-band, it travels longer distances than mmWave. As a result, T-Mobile decided to build out its 5G network using mid-band spectrum which became known as the Goldilocks of 5G. It just so happened that there was a place where T-Mobile could buy a ton of 2.5GHz mid-band spectrum, perfect for 5G. It didn't come cheap, and it wasn't easy. But when T-Mobile purchased Sprint for $26.1 billion, the transaction included a large amount of 2.5GHz spectrum that T-Mobile used to build out its 5G network. Officially named by Speedtest as the best network in America, it was time for T-Mobile to let the public know that Verizon no longer owned that title. T-Mobile recently ran a television commercial that starts by acknowledging the past and promoting the current. "For years, everyone thought Verizon had the best network. Because they did," starts the ad. But the commercial points out that according to "some fancy experts, that title now belongs to T-Mobile ." Current T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert recently made it clear during a recent earnings call that T-Mobile is going after Verizon subscribers. If those who signed up with Verizon because it had the best network in America at one time start switching to T-Mobile because it now has the best network in the U.S., it might not be much longer before T-Mobile does something that seemed impossible years ago, which is to surpass Verizon and become the nation's top wireless carrier.

iPhone 17 Air's battery leaks and it's ridiculously small

Vlad, 01 August 2025 Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 Air this year alongside the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. The Air will be very thin and is the replacement for the Plus model in the line, which has been the worst selling by far. To accomplish better success, the iPhone 17 Air will be all about radical slimness, but in the service of that it will only have one rear camera like the iPhone 16e. And it's also been rumored to have a tiny battery. Today a new leak brings us some shots that purportedly show its battery in all its glory, here it is. Alleged shots of the iPhone 17 Air's battery The source of these images tells us to expect the iPhone 17 Air's battery capacity to be "around 2,900 mAh", which even for iPhones (that are notoriously more efficient than Android devices) is incredibly small. For comparison's sake, note that the vanilla iPhone 16 has a 3,561 mAh cell, and that's the smallest one of the family. The iPhone 17 Air's battery will be encased in steel. Such technology was first used for the iPhone 16 Pro last year. The steel case is supposed to improve heat dissipation and battery density thanks to its higher structural resistance. The steel case can also very easily be integrated with the L-shaped design of the phone's inner side, fitting its reduced-size logic board perfectly. The entire iPhone 17 lineup is said to come with new battery adhesives that will serve to make replacements easier. The new devices will be unveiled in September, most likely during the week which commences on September 8. Source
