Panchayat fame Faisal Malik says Anurag Kashyap is ‘imaandaar' and ‘tedha': ‘When someone wrongs him woh satak jaate hai'
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Faisal shared, 'I think it is Ram Gopal Varma who made us believe that we don't have to have an attractive physique to be an actor. The era 2003-2004 was all about 'acting aaye na aaye body hona chahiye' (You need to look fit to be an actor).'
Although Faisal Malik never got an opportunity to work with Ram Gopal Varma, he recalled the time he randomly visited his office. 'I visited his office, Factory, once. They, however, didn't let me meet him. So, I returned from there.' He added, 'I often used to visit that area. There used to be a bread pakoda stall outside Factory. People used to stand in huge queues there because they believed that hanging out there might increase their chances of being picked by Ram Gopal Varma. Everybody knew he only picked average looking people for his movies.'
Faisal added, after RGV, it was Anurag Kashyap who took this belief forward. 'After Ram Gopal Varma, it is Anurag Kashyap who took this forward of working with average looking people. There was a time when people used to fear that if you don't look a certain way, you cannot be an actor. But, that has changed. Now, you see there are many great actors out there who may not have good looks or attractive physique.'

Faisal Malik, who marked his acting debut with Anurag Kashyap's 2012 film Gangs of Wasseypur, worked closely with him even after the film's release. Speaking about the actor-filmmaker, Faisal shared, 'Anurag Kashyap is that rare person who knows what he is making. He knows his work.'
When asked about his constant outbursts on social media, he shared, 'If you will look at Anurag Kashyap's work, you will know why all the outbursts happen. He is someone who has worked as a showrunner, writer, producer as well as director. He is extremely loyal. Aur imaandaar aadmi tedha hota hai thoda sa (An honest man tends to have a few quirks). Satak jata hai (They are short tempered).'
He added, 'He is someone who breathes cinema. He is so deeply invested in it that he cannot do anything else. Even moving a simple coffee machine will be a task for him, but cinema? He can discuss it all day long without getting tired.'
Further justifying Anurag Kashyap's frustration with the industry, Faisal shared, 'He has made several iconic films and has given several amazing directors to the industry. They are all doing so well today. This proves he is extremely dedicated to cinema. So, whenever someone wrongs him or wants him to compromise with his craft, woh satak jaate hai (He goes crazy). When it comes to cinema, he is a great man.'

This 1-hour 53-minute horror thriller film will send chills down your spine, climax will leave you speechless, has IMDb rating of 6.6, movie is…, lead actors are…
In the world of horror films, few stories manage to stand out by doing something truly different. One film did just that by taking a simple idea, what if vampires attacked when no one could escape—and placed it in one of the most chilling and isolated settings on Earth. With a sense of creeping dread and brutal survival, it gave horror lovers something fresh. It didn't rely on fancy effects or over-the-top jump scares. Instead, it brought terror in the form of long, freezing nights and monsters that thrive in the dark. Which film is this? The film we're talking about is 30 Days of Night, released in 2007 and directed by David Slade. Based on the comic book of the same name, the movie is set in Barrow, Alaska, where the sun disappears for 30 days during winter. As the town settles into darkness, a group of ruthless vampires arrives, turning the peaceful community into a feeding ground. Josh Hartnett stars as Sheriff Eben Oleson, a man who must lead the survivors, including his estranged wife Stella (played by Melissa George), in a desperate battle against bloodthirsty creatures that show no mercy. How were the performances? Danny Huston's performance as the terrifying vampire leader Marlow added to the intensity. His cold, emotionless portrayal left a lasting impression on audiences. Other actors like Ben Foster, who plays a creepy stranger preparing the town for the vampire attack, and Mark Boone Junior, who plays a local with a heroic streak, add depth to the small-town vibe and the growing horror. How was the box office reception? The film was made on a budget of approximately Rs 250 crore and earned over Rs 625 crore worldwide. Its gritty visuals and unique setting helped it stand out, earning a solid IMDb rating of 6.6. It is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video and in some regions, it can also be found on YouTube Movies. The sequel to 30 Days Of Night Due to its success, the film led to a sequel in 2010 titled 30 Days of Night: Dark Days. The sequel follows Stella Oleson, now portrayed by Kiele Sanchez, as she travels to Los Angeles to expose the existence of vampires and take revenge. However, the sequel didn't connect with viewers the same way and received mixed reviews, with a lower IMDb score of 4.3. Still, the original remains a must-watch for horror fans, which is still remarked as best and terrifying vampire based movies ever made.

According to him, it's that very loyalty that sometimes translates into visible frustration. 'If you look at Anurag Kashyap's work, you will understand why these outbursts happen. Justifying the filmmaker's volatile moments, Faisal further said that Anurag has not only made iconic films but has also launched several talented directors who are flourishing in the industry today. He added that this track record is proof of Anurag's deep-rooted passion for cinema. 'He has given several amazing directors to the industry. They are all doing so well today. This proves he is extremely dedicated to cinema. So, whenever someone wrongs him or wants him to compromise with his craft, woh satak jaate hai (they tend to lose it sometimes).
