Jordan News2 days ago
Yousef Hassan Al-Eisawi, Head of the Royal Hashemite Court, affirmed that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, has always been and will remain a model of stability, a beacon of modernization, and a firm voice in defending national and Arab causes, foremost among them the Palestinian issue. اضافة اعلان Al-Eisawi noted that King Abdullah II, with his wisdom and courage, has consistently embodied Jordan's authentic stance, always present in international forums defending rights and supporting just causes. He did not allow one crisis to distract him from another but moved with firm resolve to serve as the nation's voice and shield against challenges. These remarks came during Al-Eisawi's meeting on Monday at the Royal Hashemite Court with a delegation from the Al-Dheeb / Bani Sakher clan, attended by the King's Advisor for Tribal Affairs, Kna'an Al-Balawi. Al-Eisawi highlighted that since assuming constitutional powers, His Majesty has pursued a comprehensive developmental project aimed at building a modern, strong state capable of keeping pace with change. Political, economic, and administrative modernization have been key pillars of comprehensive reform, with programs launched to reflect the King's vision of institutional development, youth empowerment, and enhancing popular participation in decision-making. He added that the royal approach is based on continuous development and strategic planning, establishing an integrated system to advance the economy, stimulate investment, create jobs, and modernize legislation governing political life. This approach expands opportunities for citizen participation and reinforces Jordanians' confidence in their country's future, positioning the Kingdom as a model of responsible reform and sustainable development in the region. Al-Eisawi also praised the role of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in supporting the King's efforts, carrying the aspirations of youth and the torch of the nation's future. In this context, Al-Eisawi welcomed the Crown Prince's announcement to reactivate the National Service program, emphasizing that it is a pivotal step aligned with the King's vision and directives, placing youth at the center of the nation's development and future. He stated that the program will serve as a national milestone fostering belonging, discipline, and providing youth with opportunities for active participation in serving their country. Al-Eisawi reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains central to Jordanian national consciousness and that King Abdullah II continues to be the foremost voice defending Palestinian rights and protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem under the historic Hashemite custodianship. He stressed that Jordan, under the Hashemite leadership, has never wavered in supporting Palestine and has remained a strong pillar for it in various political and humanitarian forums. Regarding Jordan's efforts and the King's positions toward the people of Gaza, both politically and humanitarily, Al-Eisawi noted that Jordan has been at the forefront in providing aid and delivering assistance by land and air, affirming that Jordanian support for Gaza will remain a continuous act, unbound by time or decree. He emphasized that, despite the increasing global challenges, Jordan moves forward with confidence thanks to the wise leadership of the King and the awareness and unity of its people around enduring national principles. Al-Eisawi added that progress can only be achieved through determination, solidarity, and a firm stance behind the Hashemite leadership, which combines wisdom and prudence while working tirelessly for the nation's advancement and the preservation of its achievements. He condemned the expansionist rhetoric of the Israeli Prime Minister and the illusions of a 'Greater Israel,' describing them as evidence of a domestic political crisis and a desperate attempt to mislead public opinion and distract from failures. He affirmed that these false claims are rejected and exposed and cannot change historical or geographical facts nor Jordan's established principles and positions in defending Palestine and its people. Al-Eisawi also praised Queen Rania's role in supporting education, empowering women, and enhancing Jordan's positive image. He extended his respect to the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army and security agencies for safeguarding national security and stability through their sacrifices and dedication. Speakers at the meeting affirmed that King Abdullah II's positions represent a solid foundation in defending national and Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, which has always been a priority in his political and humanitarian initiatives. They noted that the world recognizes His Majesty's steadfastness and courage in defending Jerusalem and supporting Gaza under the most difficult conditions. They emphasized that Jordanians stand united behind their Hashemite leadership, pledging to serve the nation loyally, safeguarding Jordan with their lives, and translating their allegiance into action across all sectors. They affirmed that unity behind the leadership is Jordan's strength and protection against challenges. Speakers also underscored that they will always respond to the nation's call and that Jordanian tribes will remain loyal supporters of the Hashemite throne, defending its path and committing to national principles while supporting all reform and development efforts led by the King for Jordan's advancement and the protection of its just causes. They concluded that the bond between the Hashemite leadership and the Jordanian people is enduring, rooted in loyalty, and strengthens with each challenge, forming a moral and spiritual connection to the nation. Loyalty to the Hashemite leadership is a legacy passed to future generations, ensuring that the Hashemite flag remains high and Jordan continues as a stronghold of justice and protection of rights.
Finally, they condemned the expansionist rhetoric of the Israeli Prime Minister and the 'Greater Israel' illusions, stressing that such statements will not undermine Jordan's steadfast positions and principles.

Tensions Escalate Between Israel and France Over Macron's Plan to Recognize Palestine - Jordan News

Tensions Escalate Between Israel and France Over Macron's Plan to Recognize Palestine Relations between France and Israel have sharply deteriorated following Paris's announcement of its intention to recognize the State of Palestine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused French President Emmanuel Macron of fueling antisemitism, prompting a strong rebuttal from the Élysée Palace, which described Netanyahu's remarks as 'vile' and 'based on falsehoods.' اضافة اعلان Netanyahu, in a letter to Macron, claimed that France's recognition plan 'adds fuel to the fire of antisemitism,' arguing that it rewards Hamas, strengthens its refusal to release hostages, and encourages threats against French Jews. He called on France to replace weakness with firmness before Rosh Hashanah on September 23, coinciding with the UN General Assembly session. The Élysée responded, emphasizing that linking France's recognition of Palestine to antisemitic incidents is false and unacceptable. France reaffirmed its commitment to protect its Jewish citizens and stressed the need for responsible leadership rather than manipulation. The dispute follows Macron's announcement last month that France would recognize Palestine in September, prompting several other countries—including Canada, Australia, Ireland, Finland, and Luxembourg—to signal similar intentions. Netanyahu also sent a comparable letter to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, accusing him of 'fueling antisemitism' and praising former U.S. President Donald Trump as a model in combating antisemitism and protecting Jewish citizens. In his letter to Macron, Netanyahu cited recent incidents in France, including the vandalism of El Al offices in Paris, attacks on Jews in Livry-Gargan, and assaults on rabbis, describing them as symptomatic of a wider trend. France has seen a rise in antisemitic acts since October 7, 2023, following Israel's war on Gaza. The country hosts Europe's largest Jewish community (~500,000 people) alongside a large Arab Muslim population sympathetic to the Palestinian cause. The Palestinian Authority condemned Netanyahu's letter, calling it an 'unjustified attack' on Macron and 'hostile to peace,' stressing that criticism of Israeli occupation policies or support for Palestinian rights is not equivalent to antisemitism. The rift also reflects broader disagreements over arms transfers, humanitarian conditions in Gaza—criticized by France as 'shameful'—and Israeli settlement policies in the West Bank. According to official reports, the Hamas attack resulted in 1,219 Israeli deaths, while Israeli military operations have killed 62,064 Palestinians, mostly women and children, figures recognized by the United Nations as reliable. Government Approves Justifications for Amending the National Service Law - Jordan News

Government Approves Justifications for Amending the National Service Law In its Wednesday session chaired by Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, the Council of Ministers approved the justifications for a draft amendment to the National Service and Reserve Service Law for 2025, ahead of its submission to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to complete the official procedures for issuance and grant it an urgent status for presentation at the next parliamentary session. اضافة اعلان The decision follows Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II's announcement to reactivate the National Service program. The Prime Minister affirmed that the government will complete the necessary preparations for its implementation in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces, starting February next year, with resources allocated from this year's emergency expenditures and the 2026 budget. The draft law regulates provisions related to new legal requirements for activating and implementing the program, including acceptable deferral cases, such as for residents abroad who must return to service once deferral reasons end. It also enables the Jordanian Armed Forces to offer training programs at military centers and institutes for conscripts, allowing educational institutions to count them toward university requirements according to Cabinet-issued instructions. The law also repeals provisions granting conscripts who complete national service any priority in appointments in ministries, government institutions, or private sector companies. Personal Rights Regulation The Cabinet also approved the 2025 Personal Rights Regulation to protect individual data and enhance trust in digital commerce and services. The regulation organizes procedures for obtaining prior consent for any data processing purpose, withdrawing consent, usage, complaint mechanisms, and responses, supporting engagement in the digital economy and promoting e-commerce while ensuring personal data is handled within legal limits. It defines individuals' legal rights regarding their personal data, outlines company obligations, and sets procedures for objections and complaints. Medical Plants System The Cabinet approved the justifications for an amended Medical Plants System for 2025, to be submitted to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau. The system aims to keep pace with scientific and technological developments in the use of medicinal plants and derivatives for medical, pharmaceutical, or scientific purposes, enhance investment opportunities, and promote human health and safety. Settlement of 419 Pending Tax Cases Continuing its efforts to support investment, the government approved the settlement of 419 pending cases between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department under legal provisions. Appointments The Cabinet also approved the transfer of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Jamal Qutaishat, to serve as Secretary-General for Technical Affairs in the ministry.
