A shopper took to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK to share photos of their Tim Tam find.
Tim Tams are known for their crisp biscuit layers, smooth chocolate coating and creamy chocolate filling.
The brand was first introduced by Australian company Arnott's Biscuits in 1964.
Ian Norris, the inventor of the biscuit, discovered the Penguin during a trip to Britain and set out to 'make a better one', according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
Reactions from UK shoppers have been mixed.
One reviewer on Tesco's website called them "basically a penguin biscuit with cheap strange tasting chocolate".
While another wrote: "Far better than a penguin. Hurrah for the new trade agreement with Australia."
Tesco is selling a 163g pack of Tim Tam Original Chocolatey Biscuit Bars for £2.50.
Sainsbury's and Ocado have matched the price, while Waitrose is offering it slightly cheaper at £2.00.
Meanwhile, Lidl is stocking Tim Tam Original for £1.85 in a limited-time offer, as spotted by shoppers in a supermarket deals Facebook group.

The biscuits first launched in the UK last year at Waitrose and Ocado, with three classic flavours: Original, Dark and Chewy Caramel.
A new version of Tim Tams - Tim Tam Extra Chocolaty - recently landed exclusively at Waitrose.
Talyah Falabella, Tim Tam's International Marketing Manager, said: "For over 60 years, Tim Tam has been Australia's favourite chocolaty biscuit.
"We're excited to bring another irresistible addition to the UK, offering the ultimate indulgence for chocolate lovers."
This isn't the first time Australian snacks have proven a hit with UK shoppers.
Last year, Cadbury's Aussie selection boxes, featuring items like Scorched Peanut Bars, Caramilk Twirls and Butterscotch Snickers, sold out quickly.
And earlier this year, B&M also stocked Mocha Mudcake M&Ms - a flavour typically only available Down Under.

Australian woman credits a strange Facebook post for her $4.2million Lotto win
An Australian woman has credited a strange Facebook post for her good fortune after winning a $4.2million Lotto prize. The Central Western Slopes resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4593, drawn Saturday. Each division one winning entry received $4,285,714.29. When an official from The Lott broke the winning news, the winner couldn't help but scream out to her work colleagues, confessing she was thankful no customers were around. 'Wow. I'm glad you warned me to sit down,' she said. 'I just won $4.2 million. I'm at work now, but there are no customers here, luckily. I'm ecstatic. Oh my god. I can't believe this.' 'It's funny, I had a thing on Facebook that said, "If you watch this until the end, a large sum of money will come your way". 'I didn't really think anything of it, and here we are.' She also revealed her plan for the money. 'I can pay off my house and car. I'll be completely debt-free. I can't believe I'm saying that right now. I've played for decades, since I was 18!
