The Weeknd plays two shows in Vancouver this week: Here's what to know before you go
The Weeknd brings his After Hours 'til. Dawn tour to Vancouver's B.C. Place for two nights this week.
UPDATE: There's been a last-minute change to the concert lineup — and we have the set times.
Here's what you need to know about the concerts:
The Weeknd plays B.C. play for a two-night stand July 15 and 16.
The concert is expected to start at 7 p.m. Doors at B.C. Place open at 5:30 pm.
LiveNation shared the planned set times for tonight's concert.
According to the company, Mike Dean will perform from 7:20 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.
The Weeknd is set to take the stage at 8:40 p.m. — minus any possible delays caused by any backstage sipping of his new Nespresso collaboration brew — through to 11 p.m.

The B.C. Place website has a full list of rules and regulations regarding what you can and can't bring into The Weeknd concert.
Concert goers are recommended to have their tickets downloaded on their mobile device or Ticketmaster app and ready to scan at the gate for quick entry.
Bags are restricted at B.C. Place. The venue has a 'clear bag policy' that sees the size of bag restricted to the below dimensions:
Bags no larger than 6.5' x 8.5'
Clear plastic bag (including clear plastic freezer bags) no larger than 12' x 12' x 6'
Large bags can be checked at the venue for a fee of $10 per piece. This service is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Tickets are available for the Vancouver concert via Ticketmaster.ca. A quick search on the site and app Tuesday morning yielded a short wait in a digital waiting room.
Plenty of pairs of tickets showed as available, both via verified resale and direct sale, with prices ranging from around $78.40 to $249.90 (including taxes and fees).
American rapper Mike Dean is the opening act for the two Vancouver shows.
Playboi Carti, who collaborated with The Weeknd on the song Timeless, is no longer on the B.C. Place bill. The news was released in a statement from the After Hours Til Dawn account on X in the early morning hours on July 15.
'Playboi Carti will NOT be joining The Weeknd on the Vancouver shows of the #AfterHoursTilDawnTour. Ticketmaster changed the name of the Vancouver shows to 'The After Hours Til Dawn Tour with Mike Dean'. As of now all other Canada shows still show Carti as part of the event.'
In a statement from B.C. Place, the venue confirmed the change, adding that Carti was dropped from the concerts 'due to border crossing issues.'
Dean has co-written a number of popular tracks by The Weeknd, including Double Fantasy, Popular, Jealous Guy and others. His set is averaging 112 songs from across his career. Dean appeared with The Weeknd at his headlining set at Coachella in 2022.
Hurry Up Tomorrow was released on Jan. 31, 2025. The album is considered the final instalment in a trilogy that began with 2020's After Hours and 2022's Dawn FM.
The Weeknd, Toronto-born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, has teased that this could be the final tour as his namesake alter ego.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the artist's sixth full-length album and was accompanied by a companion film of the same title. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the movie starring The Weeknd, Jenny Ortega (Wednesday) and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn) was poorly reviewed, with a 15 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. (Tomatometer ratings of less than 60 per cent are considered 'rotten.')
The Weeknd's set list is averaging 35 songs on the After Hours 'til. Dawn tour and features a selection of songs drawn from across his multiplatinum career. How Do I Make You Love Me? from Dawn FM is the most-performed song on the tour so far.
The artist is also dropping a number of covers in the show, including Future's Low Life, Rosalía's La Fama and the Kendrick Lamar collaboration Pray for Me. To keep things on equal footing, he is also performing Drake's Crew Love.
Whether he is continuing to include Ye's Hurricane and Diddy's Another One of Me will remain to be heard at the B.C. Place shows.
The After Hours 'til. Dawn tour has been going since 2022. The Aug. 23, 2022, concert at B.C. Place was well-reviewed in The Vancouver Sun, noting the following:
'It's a big jump from Rogers Arena to B.C. Place and The Weeknd is one of those rare artists to make it. There isn't another Canadian act of the moment touring playing 50,000-plus seat arenas.
'The Toronto singer's mix of futuristic R&B, pure new wave and dance pop has completely captured contemporary music at the moment and last night the artist born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye showed off his Grammy-winning live chops to an adoring audience.
'Naturally, the stage set up for the After Hours 'til. Dawn Tour is a lavish one with no shortage of bells, whistles, explosions and more.'
Expect more of the same from this edition of the tour.
Expect The Weeknd to sell well for both of the Vancouver concerts, which means around 50,000 people attending each night. Be sure to give yourself ample time to get into the venue, find you seating and so on.

'Bachelorette' alum Katie Thurston, 34, says she 'will have breast cancer forever' but that she's 'very optimistic' about her future
The reality TV star gave fellow Bachelor Nation alum Kaitlyn Bristowe an update about her stage four cancer, marriage and future plans. Katie Thurston is reflecting on her breast cancer journey, explaining how it has impacted her health, relationship and future plans. The 34-year-old former Bachelorette star opened up during a chat with Canadian reality TV star Kaitlyn Bristowe last week, detailing how her life has changed since revealing her diagnosis in February. During an episode of Bristowe's "Off The Vine" podcast released on July 29, Thurston explained how she's been going through numerous life changes this year. That's included getting married to comedian Jeff Arcuri, moving states and adopting a new puppy named Charlie. However, she's also faced the ups and downs of her cancer diagnosis. Below, learn some of highlights we've learned from Thurston's chat with Bristowe, from how she's being treated for cancer and the disease's impact on her relationship, to whether it runs in her family and if she plans to get a mastectomy down the road. She's taking 4 pills daily — plus a monthly jab On top of getting a monthly shot that suppresses her ovaries so she can possibly do in vitro fertilization down the road, Thurston noted she takes four pills every day for cancer treatment. "Chemo is not just a one-size-fits-all [treatment]," she added. "There are different types of chemical therapy. With the type of cancer I have and because it's stage four, I don't know how to better describe it but [it's] like 'maintenance.'" However, she said the good news is that she recently had her three-month checkup and her tumours have shrunk, meaning her treatment is now more about maintenance. "On the liver, where it had spread to, you can't even see it on a chart, so this is really, really working for me." Mentally, she said she's a big believer in sleeping and thinking well. In turn, she tries to see things positively and manifests for good outcomes in her life. "Every night, I picture a little Pac-Man just eating away at this little devil," she explained, as she made the sound from the video game. Still, that doesn't mean she doesn't let herself get down — but only because she believes it's healthy to feel her feelings. "I think you just have to allow yourself to spiral. You can't just bottle it up. ... You just have to go through the highs and lows and know that that's constant. There's no finish line in this healing journey. It's just a constant ebb and flow." Memory loss is her 'hardest' hurdle For her, she shared her memory loss is "probably the hardest" thing she's had to overcome since she was diagnosed with cancer. She noted she luckily has lots of flexibility in her work life since her career revolves around social media, brand deals and being in the influencer space. For instance, she can often tell her team she might've forgotten to make a post online yet she's still offered some leeway. "But if I was working at the bank, 100 per cent I would have to go on disability, and I would qualify because you don't have the mind function to properly, safely do a job like banking," she indicated. She also reflected on brain fog being frustrating in her life, where she recalled an argument she was having with her husband and explained how something had happened before. Her partner questioned and asked her to provide an example. "I go, 'I literally can't remember, but I promise you it has.' And three days later, I was like, 'Hey, remember that fight we had? I remember now. It was this.'" Cancer has helped improved her relationship Thurston married Arcuri, 37, in a backyard ceremony on Sunday, March 22. It was five days before Thurston was set to begin treatment for her then-stage three breast cancer. They got engaged in August 2024 on a beach in Hawaii, and they hosted an engagement party later that November. But speaking to Bristowe, she explained she thinks her health journey has helped them grow as a couple. "We really had to push our relationship further than other people had to. And we have had really tough conversations, but we've worked through them each time. I don't feel like we're going backwards," she shared, explaining a lot of couples may split or see some backtracking in their relationships amid big health news. "It's a big statistic, especially with women diagnosed, the men leave ... and he did the opposite. He married me," she said, explaining how Arcuri has been there with her through some of the hardest times in her journey. "He is something I'm most proud of," she stated. "I will start crying, but the way that he's shown up in a world that he is not familiar [with]. ... He has made so many sacrifices and has done so much for me and has learned and adapted. I don't know, this to me felt like a relief, he was like, 'This year I'm just gonna pay our rent. You could just focus on your health.'" Her cancer is incurable, but she's 'optimistic' When asked if she ever gets sick of talking about her health, Thurston responded saying she doesn't think so, especially since it's such a new journey and she seems to get an update roughly every month. "My hope for the future is that, whether it's this year or next year, that I'll be like, 'Hey guys, there's no evidence of disease.'" She explained that technically, stage four breast cancer isn't curable. "Technically, medically, I will have breast cancer forever. But with so many advancements happening and the way that I caught it when I did, I'm very optimistic." She plans to get breast implants She added the plan was to see if the medicine she was given was working. Since it is, her health-care provider told her to wait three more months and then she can get a double mastectomy. She then noted she thinks she wants to get implants afterward. "With petite women, sometimes it can be too much," she explained about implants. "So it's been a challenge of, I worked my whole life to finally be confident in my breast era, and then you're telling me I've got to chop them off and get some new ones?" With no breast cancer history, she urges self-advocacy Thurston noted that breast cancer isn't in her family history. In turn, she wants people to be more proactive about checking their breasts and pushing their health-care providers on getting them explored further. "I think a lot of people get brushed off," she explained when it comes to asking about your own health. She further shared that even doing online research about her symptoms wasn't really helpful. She recalled looking up whether breast cancer hurts because her lump was painful. She noted she saw answers saying it generally doesn't hurt, so she chalked up her pain to being her period or from working out. "I want people to take their health seriously and be confident enough in how to have these conversations with their doctor," she said. "I think that will potentially save their life versus waiting until they're 40 for their first ever mammogram."

Remembering Eddie Palmieri's Delightful Tiny Desk Performance
Even at 80, Latin music titan Eddie Palmieri was as agile as ever on the keys. That's the first thing you notice from his 2016 Tiny Desk concert, which starts with a camera fixed on Palmieri's dexterous fingers as he plays 'Iraida,' the touching composition he wrote for his wife, who died in 2014. A stripped-back affair featuring no backing band or accompanying musicians, the concert showed the music veteran in a simple white baseball cap and blue T-shirt — no pretension, just Palmieri and his piano. Palmieri, who died on Wednesday at the age of 88, didn't hold anything back when he visited NPR headquarters. After 'Iraida,' he dove into an acrobatic rendition of 'The Persian Scale,' calling it simply a 'very interesting composition.' But his final song, ''La Libertad,' captured the playful innovation, upbeat improvisation, and progressive political beliefs that followed him throughout his career. 'I was in Venezuela,' he explained. 'There I met a great writer, a newspaper man, and I was recording an album called Justicia, which means 'justice,' and I asked him, 'Who would be the son or daughter of justice?'' The man, he went on, answered that the daughter of justice would logically be 'la libertad,' which means 'freedom.' 'I was so impressed with that answer that I wrote a composition called 'La Libertad.'' He added one more instruction for fans, one that he emphasized often: 'If you want to dance, do it.' Palmieri's death was confirmed by his daughter, Gabriela Palmieri, who told The New York Times that her father had died following 'an extended illness.' Palmieri had cancelled a few shows, including South Beach Jazz Festival this January, because of ongoing illness, but he continued playing late into his life.
