Kareena Kapoor Reveals Saif Ali Khan Is The Fun Parent: ‘He Always Spoils Kids'

Last Updated: Kareena Kapoor Khan discusses balancing career and motherhood, Saif Ali Khan's parenting style, family dynamics, and her upcoming film Daayra. Kareena Kapoor Khan, a devoted mother of two, offered a glimpse into her life as a working mom. Opening up about the challenges of balancing career and motherhood, the actress shared how her husband, Saif Ali Khan, is the fun, hands-on parent to their sons, Taimur and Jeh. While Kareena admits to being the stricter one, she revealed that the boys adore spending time with Saif, as he happily indulges them with extra screen time and spontaneous music sessions. During a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India, Kareena revealed that her kids often struggle with her absence during shoots. 'It gets tough. This year, Saif went out and shot for two films, so they were used to Mumma being home. Now, if I go to shoot—even for just 10–15 days a month—they're constantly irritated. They're always like, 'Where is Amma?'," she said. Reflecting on parenting dynamics in their household, Kareena admitted that while she plays the stricter role, Saif tends to spoil the kids with extra TV time. 'They love it when Saif is there because Saif is such a lovely father. He's a very hands-on father. My elder one loves to play the guitar and drums with him. When I'm not around, they always get extra TV time. The father always spoils them; otherwise, I'm always like, 'Go to bed,'" she shared. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, lovingly dubbed 'Saifeena' by fans, first crossed paths on the sets of Tashan in 2008. Their chemistry soon blossomed into love, and they eventually got married in 2012. Four years later, they welcomed their first child, Taimur Ali Khan, in 2016. They were blessed with another son, Jehangir Ali Khan (Jeh), in 2021. On the work front, Kareena Kapoor is set to team up for the first time with Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran in Daayra. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will delve into the darker themes of crime and justice, uncovering unsettling societal truths. Currently in pre-production, the script is co-written by Meghna Gulzar, Yash Keswani, and Sima Agarwal. First Published:
