'My husband married another woman but we're still together, it works for us'

Daily Mirror28-07-2025
A man who married another woman after 12 years with his wife has shared how the trio keep both relationships going, despite what others might say about their unusual dynamic
When it comes to relationships, couples come up with their own rules that work for them, their values and personalities. Some pairings are more unconventional than others. One man, Colton Winder, has opened up about his unique situation.

After being married for 12 years, his wife "let him" tie the knot with another woman in a lavish ceremony, all while remaining with his first wife. He spends one night dating one of his wives, and the next night dating the other. Colton lives in Utah, US, with his wives Tami and Sophie. Together the three of them have five children, who they raise together in what they describe as 'plural marriage.'

In a video, shared on YouTube's Love Don't Judge, Tami said: "When Colton and I got married we both believed in plural marriage, eventually it got to the point where we thought if we're supposed to find a wife we will, and we did." However, it took some time for the wives to get adjusted, creating tension within the family.

Colton said there were "hard times" as "personalities didn't match at the beginning". Sophie told Truly: "The hardest part was realising that Tami and I didn't know each other very well. We didn't understand each other's personalities." Colton added: "There were misunderstandings…sometimes it kind of felt like I was standing in the middle of a tornado".
When Sophie first came into the family, the wives lived separately. "I didn't know what to expect," Sophie said. Once they all moved into together, however, things flowed a lot better.

Sophie said: "One of the other misunderstandings that I had was feeling like a wife. You make a lot of comparisons. I felt like I was falling short."
Tami admitted she gets jealous when Sophie goes on a date with Colton. She says they will each go on dates with him individually, and then they will go on a date as a three.
Sophie and Tami have separate bedrooms in the house and each have a separate physical relationships with Colton. The women do not have a sexual relationship. "It's more of a sister relationship," said Sophie. However, she admits it's hard having her partner "gone every other night" when Colton is spending time with Tami.

The family also prioritises spending time with their kids. Tami told Truly: "Our kids have brought us together, they make us feel like a proper plural family."
Tami said: "I think I have a really good relationship with Sophie. It's taken a lot of work to get here but I think we've worked really hard to get here and really become sisters."

On Instagram earlier this year, Colton issued a message after their family received a lot of judgement. The husband said: "These two wonderful women have experience some criticism over the years for the choice they make daily, to live in a plural marriage.
"The simple truth is that these are strong, independent women that are perfectly capable of making their own decisions, and they choose to be wives and and mothers in a plural marriage.
"You may disagree with their choices, and that's okay. We're not asking you to agree. All we're asking for is the freedom to make out choice, and to live our faith."

Comedian Mo Gilligan confirms 'secret child' in shock social media post

The 37-year-old TV personality reportedly secretly fathered a child following a short-term relationship with model Selina Christoforou and was said to be expecting another baby with wellness influencer Taia Tulher, his current partner. After days of fierce speculation, Gilligan finally broke his silence on social media by sharing a video on his Instagram story of him playing with a toddler with a heart emoji over the child's face. The short black-and-white video was paired with the song Emotionless by Drake, specifically the lyrics: 'I wasn't hidin' my kid from the world / I was hidin' the world from my kid, 'From empty souls, who just wake up and look to debate / Until you starin' at your seed, you can never relate, 'Breakin' news in my life, I don't run to the blogs / The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call, 'They always ask, why let the story run if it's false? /You know, a wise man once said nothin' at all.' More Trending There is no further explanation or comment on the post from Gilligan providing details on exactly who the child is. It comes after The Sun reported that the Masked Singer judge had a brief romance with Christoforou in 2023, after the pair connected via social media. Their son, named Rudi, was born in January 2024. Insiders suggested that he sees the child 'semi-regularly'. Got a story? Among the supporters was singer Becky Hill who posted in the comments: 'Love to see the placenta!! Amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life! Good job not wasting it either, that's some goddess magic right there!' Celebrity SAS star Adam Collard blamed himself for partner Laura Woods' miscarriage

Celebrity SAS star Adam Collard blamed himself for partner Laura Woods' miscarriage The former Love Island star is currently competing on the gruelling Channel 4 programme Laura Woods and Adam Collard (Image: INSTAGRAM) Reality TV star Adam Collard has spoken publicly for the first time about the heartbreak he and his fiancée Laura Woods endured after suffering a miscarriage. ‌ Collard revealed the couple lost their baby when Laura was 11 weeks pregnant, just weeks before she conceived again. In January 2025, the couple welcomed a baby boy, Leo. ‌ The 29-year-old, who rose to fame on Love Island and has since appeared on Celebs Go Dating, is currently taking on brutal physical and mental challenges in the upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, which began on Sunday. ‌ In a deeply personal moment on the show, Collard reflects on the tragedy and admits he blamed himself at the time, believing it to be retribution for his behaviour on reality TV. 'I know it's a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people,' he says. 'I felt like that was some higher power's way of being like, 'Well, there you go, that's what you have to carry.'' Article continues below He added: 'I was just a cocky little p***k, being a love rat, jumping from girl to girl. I want to show I'm not that man any more.' Collard became known for his controversial stints on Love Island in both 2018 and 2022, where he was at the centre of several short-lived romances. His time on the show earned him a reputation for womanising — coupling up with four different contestants during his first appearance. ‌ He later dated Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott for seven months and, more recently, Welsh contestant Paige Thorne during his 2022 return to the villa. That relationship also ended quickly after the show, with Collard later admitting he 'used' Paige to prolong his stay in the competition. He also had a brief relationship with model Lottie Moss after they met on Celebs Go Dating, though that ended shortly after he was accused of cheating. ‌ Collard says meeting presenter Laura marked a turning point in his life. The pair began dating in October 2023 and quickly built a strong relationship, announcing they were expecting a child the following year. He described Laura as 'the one' and credited her support, alongside his experience on Celebrity SAS, as having a lasting impact on his mental health. Article continues below 'On a personal level, I wanted to test myself mentally,' he said. 'I had a lot of stuff going on before I went on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and I've got to be honest — but credit to the show — I actually think it had the most positive impact on my mental health.'
