Jake Paul slammed for 'disrespecting' Usyk with immediate in-ring challenge
Usyk and Dubois squared off for a second time on Saturday evening, with a crowd of more than 90,000 spectators at Wembley Stadium. The Ukrainian had previously triumphed in their first bout two years earlier and definitively ended the rivalry with a brutal fifth-round knockout.
With the undisputed heavyweight title on the line at such a prestigious venue, it was expected that numerous celebrities would be in attendance. Paul, who was seated in the front row, became a target for the crowd's jeers whenever his face was shown on the big screen.
The 'Problem Child' didn't miss the chance to make waves as he renewed his challenge to Anthony Joshua.
He told DAZN: "Yeah 100 per cent it's going to happen. We're going to do the unthinkable and create one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing. It's not even about it being realistic or not, it's gonna happen so fasten your seatbelts. And when I knock him out I'll go down in the history books forever." His trip to the UK would not be complete without facing off with Usyk - who he has called out multiple times over the last few months.
The pair faced off in the ring immediately after the Ukrainian's win over Dubois. Neither man blinked in what was a tense and chilling stare down. Eventually, the pair shook hands and went their separate ways. In a post uploaded to X - formerly known as Twitter - Paul posted the video, captioning it: "Congrats to one of the greatest heavyweights of all time @usykaa on a huge win. I respect you a lot. Now we do an MMA match for the world @MostVpromotions."
As expected, the footage quickly went viral online - with Usyk himself was quick to comment on the face off with the YouTuber-turned-boxer. "Jake Paul came to the ring for a face-off. I'm ready to fight with Jake Paul in MMA rules. I'm ready but I need to rest," he said.
While it was maybe all fun and games, boxing fans were quick to flood the comments section, expressing their anger towards Paul. "Letting him in the same ring as Usyk is an insult," one fan wrote. A second commented: "It should never be sanctioned, Usyk will murder the YouTuber!" A third replied: "Please don't disrespect us and Usyk like this," while another posted: "This is absolutely ridiculous. Get Jake Paul out of there." A fifth replied: "Embarrassing shouldn't even be allowed in the same ring as Usyk."
Paul - who signed with the PFL two years ago - is yet to make his MMA debut. Back in May, the American stunned the boxing world after he called out Usyk for a fight in the octagon. "Yeah, I want to be like Holly (Holm) here and test my skills in the cage," The Problem Child said, referencing the American boxer and MMA star. "That's something I'm super, super interested in, and I think it would be a very, very big spectacle. Nate Diaz is still ducking, but we would need to find the right opponent. [Oleksandr] Usyk, maybe."
Paul's business partner Nakisa Bidarian then weighed in on the comments and raised expectations that a stunning bout between the two stars could take place. "Usyk has called out Jake multiple times in MMA," he added. "They've been in touch with us behind the scenes saying they want to do that fight in 2026. So it's something that we definitely want to pursue." When is Jake Paul's next fight?
After defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last month, Paul is set to fight once more before the year is out. The American can now fight for a world title after he was placed in the WBC's cruiserweight rankings following his win over the Mexican. The 28-year-old's manager revealed his business partner is keen on fighting for a world title 'as soon as possible'.
However, he admits it is likely it won't happen next, given the current standings at 200lbs. "Absolutely [he will fight again this year]. November or December," Bidarian told Ariel Helwani when asked about Paul's next steps. "I'm seeing him tonight for dinner, and we will have a conversation [about his next opponent]. The only possibility right now is that Jake wants to fight for a belt as soon as possible.
"I have to talk to him, I think it's tough this year [to box for a world title]. Badou Jack is who he wants to fight more than anyone, and he has a mandatory rematch with the guy he just beat [Noel Mikaelian] for the WBC. I don't know if this year is possible [for the title fight], but we'll see."

Guinness in a handbag? US influencer's stunt has the internet foaming over
When American influencer Emma Topp landed in Ireland, she probably expected to cause a stir with her accent, not her accessories. But after posting a now-viral video of herself strutting through Galway's cobbled streets with a glass purse filled to the brim with Guinness, she's managed to split the internet faster than a rugby lad from D4 can split the G. In the clip, which has garnered a whopping 684K views online, Emma is seen treating the iconic stout less like a drink and more like a fashion statement, swinging her sudsy handbag past shopfronts, buskers, and baffled locals. When American influencer Emma Topp landed in Ireland, she probably expected to cause a stir with her accent, not her accessories. Pic: Instagram/Emma Topp 'It's like a pint, only 2.5x better,' she captioned the video, revealing bartenders had no issue pouring a pint into the untraditional vessel. 'Turns out pubs in Galway WILL fill a purse with Guinness (it's BYOP tho, oops) and you'll have the time of your life meeting new people,' she added, as staff in The Dáil Bar in Galway's Latin Quarter humoured the Boston-based creator. The purse held the equivalent of two and a half pints of the beloved beverage, with Emma quickly noting how heavy it had become. @efultimatebreak it's like a pint, but 2.5x better 🍻 turns out pubs in Galway WILL fill a purse with Guinness (it is BYOP tho, so come prepared) #galway #guinness #ireland #purse ♬ original sound – EF Ultimate Break It seems Emma's antics caused quite the stir online, with social media users deeply divided over her liquid-luggage endeavour. For some, it was peak comedy, but for others, the sight of Ireland's most beloved pint sloshing around inside a novelty handbag felt like an outright abomination. 'Lovely day for a gurse,' one user joked, while another added: 'LONG LIVE THE GURSE.' 'As an Irishman who likes his Guinness, I was a bit horrified watching this initially but this was actually class,' another added. So, was it harmless fun or a fashion faux pas worthy of exile from the pub? Let us know where you stand on the Great Guinness Purse Debate.

Rosie O'Donnell 'almost made very expensive mistake' while saving woman from choking
Rosie O'Donnell joked that she nearly made a very expensive mistake after she saved an elderly woman from choking. The comedian moved to Ireland following the re-election of Donald Trump — with whom she had a long rivalry — with her child Clay, and spoke earlier this month about how she saved a 90-year-old woman from choking at the Dillon Hotel. Appearing on Ireland AM on Friday (July 25) Rosie elaborated on the incident; but joked that while she called for people to call 911, she was told that the emergency number here is 999. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ireland AM (@irelandamvmtv) 'I ran over like an EMT,' Rosie explained. 'I had taken a course [on CPR] when I was in my 20s, but I didn't know — I was panicking. My friend was there and we were doing the Heimlich, I was in the front of her and she didn't know how to do it. So in the final minute, because I was so scared, I pushed, and I went up and then [the steak] flew out.' Rosie then said that she 'kept screaming 'call 911!' and then finally I sat down and the woman at the next table says 'Rosie, it's not 911, it's 999.'' 'There was an American ambulance on the way,' host Martin King joked, while Rosie immediately quipped 'it costs $30,000.' Rosie O'Donnell joked that she nearly made a very expensive mistake after she saved an elderly woman from choking. Pic:'So you're good at saving people from choking?' chef Jack O'Keeffe then asked Rosie, before joking 'you should've been at Croke Park on Sunday' — a reference to Cork's undoing in the second half of the All-Ireland final against Tipperary. Rosie has been welcomed to Ireland with open arms; and bookies are even putting her in the running for the President of Ireland. Ladbrokes are saying Rosie could put herself forward for the Irish presidency, especially since she is seeking Irish citizenship through descent, which would make her eligible. Rosie moved to Ireland last year and has been welcomed with open arms; with some people reckoning she could even go for the President of Ireland. Pic: Virgin Media Television Punters have also seemingly put Rosie as a potential dark horse, with 10/1 odds of winning if she does end up running. 'Rosie O'Donnell has really captured the hearts and minds of the Irish people,' Ladbrokes spokesperson Cal Gildart said. 'Her endearing charm has led punters to back her for a run at the presidency. We may see her appearing on a ballot paper in November.'

Advertisement READ MORE IN Maria Kovalchuk Her mum, Anna, has now revealed more grim details about the state Maria was found in. She says Maria's " hair was shorn with a knife" before the young model was scalped. Speaking on Ukrainian TV show Hovoryt vsia kraina, Anna said: "My impression is that it was just done like this, with a knife, and right across the face. "It looked as if it was done with a knife from the centre of the head all the way down to the eye, and the hair was cut off. Advertisement Most read in The US Sun "Why the hair was cut is unclear, because it wasn't done at the hospital, the nurses told me that and confirmed it. 'They wouldn't have been able to lift it like that in hospital, because there was a massive wound on the head.' OnlyFans model Juli Luxie, 21, found dead at home in France after family didn't hear from her for two weeks An emotional Anna added: "If you saw the stitches on the head, how the scalp [had to be] sewn back on." Maria has had to go through nine serious operations since being found. Advertisement Three on each leg, two on her spine and a final surgery to fix her snapped shoulder blade, according to Anna. One of Maria's legs is in such a bad state despite the operations that Anna says it is likely she'll never have any feeling there. Despite her sickening injuries, the family are yet to get any answers around what really happened out in Dubai. Maria alleged that all the CCTV recordings that could have shown parts of the horror ordeal have been erased to remove any evidence. Advertisement She also claimed her medical bills for the operations were all unusually covered by Dubai police. It was initially believed that Maria had been kidnapped into a sex trafficking ring linked to the notorious 'Porta Potty' scene in the UAE. 8 A large scar is visible across Maria's forehead Credit: East2West 8 Maria pictured in Norway with her mother Anna Credit: East2West Advertisement 8 Maria has had to go through nine surgeries Credit: East2West These are disturbing events which are known to involve high-paying clients who degrade women, often influencers, for large sums of cash. But an insider close to Maria has now blamed her injuries on Russia. They claimed: "It was the Russians who tortured Maria." Advertisement According to Maria and her friends, she had missed her flight home to Thailand while staying at the luxury Five Jumeirah Village hotel in Dubai. She was offered a place to stay by a 19-year-old man she had recently met at a karaoke barr before being invited to a hotel room. She was then allegedly abused for several hours. Police have already questioned a teen who is the son of a prominent Russian businessman and fits the suspected profile. Advertisement Artyom Papazov, 19, admitted he was at a three day party with Maria but denies having any knowledge of the alleged abuse. Aleksandra Mertsalova, 19, daughter of a Moscow businessman, was also quizzed over the incident. Both were released without charge. Dubai police have also examined a theory that suggests Maria may have jumped from an eight-floor ledge from a nearby construction site. Advertisement A neurosurgeon who examined the model's injuries has categorically said her wounds were not consistent with such a fall. They are more likely to have been caused by Maria being beaten and hit by a car, he added. Anna has now also claimed she has been threatened online for speaking out about the case. She said: 'I got a disappearing message on my phone. It read: 'We'll find you even in Norway'.' Advertisement What are Porta Potty parties? PORTA potty parties are events, usually in the United Arab Emirates, where women are paid large amounts of money to sexually gratify wealthy men - in often highly degrading ways. It's thought that the women are sometimes duped into participating on false pretences - such as the promise of a modelling contract. At the events, men exploit the opportunity to commit depraved acts on the women. The name supposedly comes from the fact that the deeply disturbing acts can include men treating women as human toilets. Women, often from ex-Soviet countries, are lured in by the promise of a glamorous lifestyle and highly paid careers in the oil-rich states. An expert Recruiters often target attractive women with online presences, or even TV stars. Radha Stirling, founder and CEO of Detained in Dubai, told The Sun: "It's exploitation disguised as glamour or opportunity. Women, in particular, are offered all sorts of opportunities in Dubai. "They might be offered to come and model, to come and play music, or to expand their career in some way or another. "But what they don't realise is that when they get there, they are essentially at the beck and call of whoever has brought them there. "They're under their complete control, and they put themselves in such a risky position where they could end up gang raped, they could end up drugged, they could end up dead." 8 Maria pictured after the attack in a hospital in Dubai Credit: East2West 8 She suffered a broken spine and multiple fractures to her limbs Credit: East2West
