Simultaneously, the primary section celebrated its 96th foundation day as Social Awareness Day. Chief guests Vishal Sadamwar and Anjali Agase from Seva Sarvada Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha highlighted the importance of social responsibility. Students presented a skit and chorus, and donated pencil kits to the NGO. Headmistress Pranjali Kuralkar spoke on the founder, late Bhikaji Phatak.

Schools to recite ‘Pasayadan' on Aug 14 to mark Sant Dnyaneshwar's 750th birth anniversary
Pune: Schools in Maharashtra will recite Pasayadan on August 14 to mark the 750th birth anniversary of Sant Dnyaneshwar, following a directive from the School Education Department. Schools to recite 'Pasayadan' on Aug 14 to mark Sant Dnyaneshwar's 750th birth anniversary The decision comes ahead of Gokulashtami and Independence Day on August 15, when schools will be busy with celebrations. The move aims to give focused attention to the birth anniversary of the 13th-century saint. Pasaydan is a popular and widely known prayer in the Marathi language, composed by the 13th-century saint-poet Sant Dnyaneshwar. It's a prayer for the well-being of all beings, seeking universal peace, prosperity, and spiritual enlightenment. The prayer is considered to be beyond religion, caste, and time, making it inclusive and relevant to all. The order, issued by Undersecretary Tushar Mahajan to the Commissioner of Education, has been circulated to all government, private, Zilla Parishad, municipal, and aided schools. Several schools have already begun preparations, integrating the recitation with Independence Day activities. 'Pasayadan promotes values of peace and harmony that are vital for children,' said Rajendra Patil, teacher at ZP Primary School, Velhe. Some schools HT spoke to said they have not yet received the official communication.

RS Mundle School students excel in Scholarship & MTS Examination 2024-25
1 2 Nagpur: Students of RS Mundle English School & Junior College brought laurels to the school in pre-upper primary and pre-secondary scholarship examination 2025 conducted by Maharashtra State Council of Examination. From Class 5, seven students are in merit list. They are Atharva Joshi (17 in district merit order), Rutam Kshirsagar, Arnav Jadhav, Ameya Deshmukh, Mahima Gogate, Athang Paunikar, Swaranjali Joshi. From Class 8, 22 Students are in district merit list. Bhakti Budhkar (5th in district merit order), Sarvesh Khekale, Sohan Shrirao, Ovee Vyas, Vaibhavi Muley, Arnav Channe, Shrawani Labhe, Bhargav Panurkar, Arya Sant, Ved Tambe, Shreya Verulkar, Soham Petkar, Madhura Pathak, Indrani Bhagwat, Shambavi Deshmukh, Maitrayi Charthal, Niharika Nasre, Manthan Achalwar, Aaraadhya Purankar, Sarthak Pujari, Dhruva Bompilwar, Advita Gaikwad are also in the merit list. In Maharashtra Talent Search Examination 2025, Vidhi Gujar from Class 9 secured seventh rank in state and out of 40 students from Class 8 to10. Sarvesh Khekale, Bhargav Panurkar, Hiroanyya Deshkar, Prathamesh Badhe, Raghav Dantale, Nirved Potdukhe, received consolation prizes while others received certificates. Students gave the credit of their success to headmistress Lakhbir Kaur Suri, supervisor Amruta Nagarkar and teachers. President of Dharampeth Education Society Adv Ulhas Aurangabadkar, secretary Suresh Deo and other members congratulated the successful students, headmistress, supervisor and teachers. Sonali Bhagwat, Monika Hardas and Sheetal Pagay guided the students.
