The notification said that the "last message is for Deerfield Twp only, please do NOT call 911!," as quoted in the report.Meanwhile, some neighboring counties, including Butler County's sheriff departments, also had to post public messages to calm concerned residents who had received the alert due to the error.The Butler County Sheriff's Office's posted on the social media site Facebook, saying, "If you received an alert to shelter in place, please be advised it was mistakenly sent out by another agency to the entire Tri-State area. This alert does NOT apply to Butler County residents. It is intended ONLY for residents of Deerfield Township in Warren County. There is no threat to Butler County at this time," as per the post.The SWAT standoff itself remains an active situation, but authorities have not yet released details about the reason for the standoff or why the alert was sent out, according to WLWT5.
