Scott County softball soars into state semifinals
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Scott County softball team is two wins away from a state championship after stepping up last week with some big-time wins over Bullitt East and Rowan County at John Cropp Stadium.
'Take one hit at a time, one inning at a time, one day at a time, one game,' Head Coach James Wagoner said. 'That's kind of been the message over the past month, you know, from district to, you know, a week later, the region, then a week later, you know, the opening round of this.'

The Cardinals won three state championships between 2014 and 2018, but now they will have to take on the defending state champs, Henderson County, who won it all in 2024 and were the state runner-up in 2023.
'We've prepared for this all year, and it's something that we talked about like this is our goal, this is our moment right now,' Senior Outfielder Maddie Skibo. 'We're so grateful for this opportunity, and we just can't wait to be able to play in these last, hopefully two games, and win this title.'
Scott County star senior pitcher, Ada Little, has thrown every pitch so far in the Cardinals' state tournament campaign. That can take a toll on a young athlete's body, but according to the Georgia softball signee, she's ready to rock.
