Talking about his priorities at this stage in life, Gulshan said, 'All I want to do is leave a legacy behind for my son, and to see my son succeed.' When asked by Archana's husband Parmeet Sethi how he wants to be remembered, Gulshan said, 'I want to see big success, big achievements, but for my son, Sanjay Grover. Sanjay went to study in UCLA, and one day, I had a meeting at the Hollywood studio MGM. Sanjay said that he wanted to accompany me, because he wanted to see all the Oscars that they have in the lobby of their office.'
'Blackmailed Sanjay to return to India'
Gulshan said, 'I am divorced from his mother, and she lives separately. Any parent would feel like enough is enough. My son has lived outside for so many years, we should live together now.' He explained that they worked out an arrangement in their duplex house: Sanjay would stay on the top floor, while he remained on the bottom floor. 'I will only come to his side of the house when I'm invited,' he added, emphasizing the importance of giving his son privacy.
He also admitted that he had to 'emotionally blackmail' his son to convince him to come back from Hollywood and try his luck in India, combining parental concern with his desire to reconnect and collaborate professionally.
Pride in his son's achievements
Gulshan called Sanjay the biggest achievement of his life. 'All I want is to see big success, big achievements, but for my son, Sanjay Grover,' he said. He recalled how proud he felt when Sanjay impressed Hollywood executives at MGM during a meeting with former co-CEO Mary Parent, despite initially contradicting everything she said. 'During the meeting with former MGM co-CEO Mary Parent, Sanjay kept contradicting everything she said. Like any Punjabi dad, I felt like taking him out and thrashing him. But, to my surprise, after the meeting, Mary handed him her details and said that a job would be waiting for him once he graduates. I was so proud. I felt like a village idiot,' he said.

In a previous interview, Gulshan highlighted his son's exposure to global cinema. 'His experience of making films in Hollywood as well as watching world cinema – German, French, American, Korean is fabulous. Jitna wo dekhta hai, utna mujhe dekhne me 10 saal lag jaaenge. So his experience and exposure to not just the most talked about projects but also the hidden gems, helps me get a certain kind of vision, which I do not possess,' he said.
Gulshan gives credit to son for idea of Bad Man brand
Apart from their personal bond, Sanjay has played a key role in Gulshan's professional life. Gulshan credited his son with the idea of turning his iconic 'Bad Man' persona into a brand. 'All those recall values need to be converted into a brand. That's Sanjay's idea,' he said. Sanjay also produced Gulshan's upcoming film
Heer Express
and co-wrote its story, making the project emotionally significant for the actor.
Gulshan emphasized that the film
Heer Express
was made to be enjoyed by families together. 'Sanjay said that India is missing one thing—films that the whole family can watch together. So this movie is for the entire family,' he said.

Amitabh Bachchan Hails S. Jaishankar On KBC 17: 'He Speaks Like An Army Officer'
Amitabh Bachchan praised External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on the Independence Day special of Kaun Banega Crorepati. On the occasion of Independence Day, Kaun Banega Crorepati offered its audience a powerful gift with a special episode titled Independence Day Maha Utsav. The show brought together three fearless women officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force who had played crucial roles in Operation Sindoor, a mission that dealt a strong response to Pakistan. The patriotic episode wasn't just filled with quiz questions but also with moments of respect, inspiration, and pride. One such moment came when host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, drawing parallels between his commanding diplomatic style and that of an Army officer. 'Tough Talk, Like a Soldier" During a round of questions that began directly from the sixth level, the contestants were shown a picture of former External Affairs Ministers Salman Khurshid and the late Sushma Swaraj. They were then asked to identify the next minister in sequence. The officers confidently answered: Dr. S. Jaishankar. Reacting with a smile, Amitabh Bachchan admitted that he often watches Jaishankar's interviews and is deeply impressed by his manner of speaking. 'He speaks so strongly and with such authority that it feels like he could easily be in the Army," Bachchan said. This candid remark instantly became the most talked-about moment of the episode, with viewers applauding the megastar for acknowledging Jaishankar's firm and fearless presence on the global stage. Fans on social media even hailed it as proof of India's diplomatic strength and Jaishankar's growing popularity. Heroes of Operation Sindoor Adding to the patriotic fervour were the three officers who graced the stage: Colonel Sophia Qureshi (Army), known for her exemplary service during United Nations missions. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh (Air Force), celebrated for her daring spirit in the skies. Commander Prerna Devasthali (Navy), who thrives on the challenges of the sea. These officers were instrumental in Operation Sindoor, where they played decisive roles against Pakistan. Their entry was welcomed with a standing ovation from the audience and from Amitabh Bachchan himself, reflecting the immense pride the nation feels for its women warriors. A Patriotic Celebration The special episode was a blend of knowledge, inspiration, and national pride. Along with the quiz, the show featured stories of sacrifice and courage from the three officers, interspersed with patriotic songs and tributes to the tricolour. A visibly moved Amitabh Bachchan remarked, 'It is an honour for me to share this stage with these brave daughters of India on this day." More Than Just Entertainment This Independence Day special of KBC was not only about questions and answers; it was about honouring the spirit of the armed forces and reminding viewers that India's daughters are second to none—whether defending borders, flying in the skies, or navigating the high seas. It was a celebration that blended entertainment with emotion, leaving viewers inspired, proud, and deeply connected to the spirit of the nation. Malaika Arora Hints At Second Marriage; Udaipur Files Producer Blasts Hindu Audience For Film's Failure
Last Updated: Malaika Arora spoke about her marriage plans after divorcing Arbaaz Khan. Udaipur Files producer Amit Jani slammed Hindu audiences after the film's box office failure. Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan got married in 1998. Arora was about 25 years old at that time. Four years into their marriage, they welcomed their son Arhaan Khan in 2002. After being married for 18 years, the couple announced their separation in 2016 and finalised their divorce in 2017. While Arbaaz Khan is now remarried to Sshura Khan, is a second marriage on the cards for Malaika as well? In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Malaika mentioned that she is not closed off to the idea of another marriage. Udaipur Files, starring Vijay Raaz, released in theatres on August 8, 2025, but the film has failed to make an impression at the box office. According to trade portal Sacnilk, the movie has managed to collect only ₹1.54 crore so far, and is being labelled a flop. While much is known about his marriage and separation from Dimple Kapadia in the late 90s, not much is known about his relationship with actress Anita Advani. Anita Advani claims that she married Rajesh Khanna in a secret ceremony and lived with him till his death in 2012. However, since Rajesh and Dimple were only separated and not divorced, the second marriage couldn't have been legal. On India's 79th Independence Day, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar took to X (formerly Twitter) to extend his wishes. He shared a message, reminding his followers that freedom was earned through immense sacrifices by numerous freedom fighters, not simply given. A troll reacted to Javed Akhtar's message with a disgraceful comment suggesting he should celebrate Independence Day on August 14 instead. For those unaware, India celebrates its Independence Day on August 15, while Pakistan's is on August 14. Javed Akhtar shut down the troll with a powerful reminder that his ancestors laid down their lives fighting for India's freedom. A proud father, Amitabh Bachchan has showcased his pride in his son Abhishek Bachchan, who was feted with the Best Actor for 'I Want To Talk" at THE Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2025, and said that he is the honour of their family.
