American Airlines' vaping passenger doubles down following viral incident: ‘My privacy and dignity were violated'
What an airhead. Peter 'Kobe' Nguyen, the American Airlines passenger who got into a viral altercation with a flight attendant who caught him vaping in-flight, has reportedly doubled down on his position. 'Something happened to me that I never imagined I'd have to go through — especially on a commercial airline,' the self-proclaimed 'celebrity pickleball coach' declared in a viral Instagram post posted August 9. 'While flying on American Airlines Flight 2860, my privacy and dignity were violated in ways that left me shaken, humiliated, and hurt.' 3 'The reputational harm from this incident has been devastating to my career,' Nguyen (pictured during the altercation) declared in the Instagram post. Instagram / @ The post was somewhat cryptically captioned, 'I can't delete this, it's already on the internet.' Nguyen was referring to an altercation that occurred August 4 aboard a flight from Phoenix to San Francisco after an unnamed AA air hostess busted the passenger allegedly smoking an E-cigarette in the lavatory, which is both a federal offense and a violation of airline policy. In the viral clip, filmed by the vaper in the aftermath of him getting busted, Nguyen accuses the perplexed crew member of opening the bathroom door while he was inside. Upon spotting him filming her, the flight attendant attempts to snatch his phone away, prompting the aghast pickleballer to accuse the flight attendant of assault. 'She put her hands on me,' yells the flyer, before bizarrely declaring that he's a lawyer — a claim he later walked back in an interview with Inside Edition. At one point, Nguyen then threatens to sic his social media fans on her, declaring that he'd release the video for his 25,000 Instagram followers if she didn't 'say sorry' immediately. He was reportedly removed from the aircraft by San Francisco police upon arrival. 3 Nguyen claimed that he had taken the matter to American Airlines' legal department. Instagram / @ Despite getting ripped by online viewers, who labeled the Instagrammer an 'insufferable pos' who deserved to be put on the 'no-fly list,' the unapologetic passenger refused to backpedal. In the aforementioned Insta post, Nguyen claimed that the midair tiff impacted his mental health, work, and 'ability to trust the very systems meant to keep us safe.' 3 'While flying on American Airlines Flight 2860, my privacy and dignity were violated in ways that left me shaken, humiliated, and hurt,' said Nguyen. Christopher Sadowski 'I'm not just a CEO and nonprofit founder — I'm also a Hollywood producer,' he declared. 'The reputational harm from this incident has been devastating to my career.' Nguyen added that he'd formally taken the matter to 'American Airlines' legal department,' writing, 'My goal is not only accountability, but to make sure this never happens to anyone else. I will fight for justice, privacy, and dignity for every passenger.' Interestingly, the post seemed like a complete 180 from apologetic sentiments he expressed earlier in the week. During an Aug 8 appearance on Fox 10 Phoenix, the seemingly rueful racquet sport enthusiast had said, 'I'm sorry to all of the other passengers, there's no excuse for what happened.' He added that he'd been going through nicotine withdrawal with 35 minutes left in the two-hour flight. 'I wish I never picked up a vape to begin with,' Nguyen lamented. 'It sucks knowing in order to be myself, I have to have nicotine. I feel so helpless.' In light of the embarrassing ordeal, the flyer has pledged to quit the automated cancer stick, although he nonetheless demanded that the flight attendant apologize for opening the lavatory door on him.

Sling TV's $5 pass buys you one day of cable TV
Sling TV has launched a new option that lets you watch live content without signing up for a streaming or cable subscription. Now, you can pay $4.99 for a 'day pass,' offering 24 hours of live and on-demand access to several channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT, A&E, Disney Channel, CNN, and others. Sling TV also offers a weekend pass from Friday through Sunday for $9.99, along with a seven-day pass for $14.99. These passes include the 'popular networks' within Sling TV's $45.99 per month Orange subscription, but if you're looking for more channels, you can pay for one of the service's add-ons, like Sports Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, and more. Each add-on costs $1 more when added to the day pass, $2 for the weekend pass, or $3 for the week pass. It sounds like Sling TV's new passes will come in handy if you're trying to watch a specific sporting event, awards show, or season premiere without getting locked into a subscription. Live TV streaming services are already pretty pricey, and the ones focused on live sports are no different. Both Comcast and DirecTV have $70 per month live sports streaming bundles, while ESPN and Fox's upcoming sports streaming services will cost $29.99 and $19.99, respectively. How Alyson Stoner Navigated Kidnapping Plots Amid Child Stardom
Originally appeared on E! Online Is being a child star worth it? Let Alyson Stoner work it out. More than 20 years after appearing as that young dancer in Missy Elliott's "Work It" music video and launching an acting career, the performer—who has been open about their struggles with anxiety stemming from working in a high-stress environment—said they're now "able to hold multiple truths at once" about their complex relationship with Hollywood. Looking back at the "overnight success" they experienced during the early aughts, Alyson told E! News' Francesca Amiker in an exclusive interview that they've come to realize "this cascade of opportunities actually ended up leading to a lot of different health issues." "We had no idea the short- and long-term consequences of being that visible, that young," the 32-year-old explained. "After that experience, I started dealing with things like kidnapping plots and managing stalkers, and all of these different health issues from workaholism and burnout." For the Cheaper By the Dozen alum, all those issues weren't "unpacked until decades later" in therapy. "What's become most important is to recognize that we cannot solely be measured by our productivity and our output," they noted. "We actually have to make sure that we understand we're whole humans." That's why Alyson went through a range of emotions detailing their childhood in their new memoir Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything, out now. While the writer still "feels warm" recounting their time working with Missy, they said putting pen to paper about their experience on the set of the 2008's Camp Rock was far more difficult. While the writer still "feels warm" recounting their time working with Missy, they said putting pen to paper about their experience on the set of the 2008's Camp Rock was far more difficult. "It was challenging," Alyson shared. "I do not wish this process of mining your psyche and heart then connecting it into 90,000 words for the whole world to read. I don't necessarily recommend that process to everyone, but I do wish for the liberation that's come with it." They continued, "I'm learning to practice acceptance that I cannot control the consequences of my honesty. What I can do is recognize that the truth is not always polite, but it still can be delivered with compassion and integrity." So, does that mean their former costars Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Demi Lovato won't like what they wrote about the Disney Channel movie? Not necessarily. "I think the Jonases will enjoy the sections that I've included them in the book," Alyson said, adding that they had "touched base" with Demi while writing the book. "Thankfully, Demi has also been very vocal about her experiences, so I was able to build on that and share what it was like from my vantage point as all of these different events unfolded." They added, "We've been through a lot individually and together." Semi Well Adjusted Despite Literally Everything comes out Aug. 12. To see where the Camp Rock cast landed these days, keep reading...
