Florida football spring game 2025: Everything you need to know about Orange & Blue Game
Florida football's spring game will take place on Saturday, April 12, inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville this year with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
The annual Orange and Blue Game represents an opportunity for the fans and media to get a gander at the Gators as they wrap up their spring practice and scrimmage schedule. Traditionally played on a Saturday, the game had been moved to Thursday nights ahead of the 2022 and 2023 seasons, only to return back to the weekend last year.
In 2024, the Blue team prevailed over the Orange, 19-17, on a beautiful spring day in Gainesville. For the second year in a row, Trey Smack ended the scrimmage with a field goal at the final horn while head coach Billy Napier noted that, 'It was as good as we could have asked for situationally,' as far as the overall game outcome.
More details about this year's game, including streaming, broadcast information and fan initiatives, will be announced as that information becomes available.

WATCH: Mike Norvell discusses FSU's second scrimmage

The Florida State Seminoles held their second scrimmage of fall camp on Sunday, and head coach Mike Norvell met with the media afterwards to break down what happened. One player who stood out was Micahi Danzy, who is moving to wide receiver after starting his career at running back. "Another guy who stood out was Micahi Danzy, who had a couple of nice plays," he said. "He showed some looseness, especially on a short pass, and had a solid run. He did some good things with those opportunities" Not only is he learning a new position, but he was also limited in the spring as he competed with the track team. However, Norvell is pleased with what he has seen from the Tallahassee native. "I think he's growing in that confidence, and we still want more from him. When he gets opportunities to go produce, he's showing up. He's done a good job," he said. Norvell also discussed how Tommy Castellanos looked, James Williams, the offensive line, and more. Quinn Ewers' Final Stats From Preseason Debut Are Horrific

Quinn Ewers' Final Stats From Preseason Debut Are Horrific originally appeared on The Spun. Quinn Ewers' first NFL preseason game is in the books. It did not go well. The former Texas and Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback did not get selected early in the 2025 NFL Draft, despite leaving school early. He ended up going in the 7th round to the Miami Dolphins. Many wondered why Ewers chose to enter the NFL Draft, rather than transferring to a school like Miami or North Carolina, likely for a big payday. His time was done at Texas, thanks to Arch Manning, but that didn't mean that his time in college had to be done, too. However, he decided to move on, pursuing a career in the NFL. Ewers signed a rookie contract with the Dolphins, but he's still facing an uphill battle to make the roster. That battle is looking even tougher following his preseason debut on Sunday. The Dolphins took on the Bears in an NFL preseason game on Sunday. The game ended in a 24-24 tie. Ewers' day, however, was not nearly as promising as the final score was for both teams. Here are his final stats from his first preseason game as an NFL quarterback: 5-for-18 passing 91 yards No touchdowns No interceptions Two sacks Two lost fumbles Ouch. NFL fans are not surprised by the performance. Many said that he didn't look comfortable. Others suggested that he's just not good enough. "He looked uncomfortable. Hope he turns things around!" one fan wrote. "Right now, he is not him," one fan added. "Rough game, play calling and o line didn't do him any justice," another fan added on social media. Fox Sports 1 host Colin Cowherd is taking credit for being right about Ewers, too. He wasn't surprised by his poor showing on the field. "Someone told ya…" he wrote. It's just one preseason game, but for many late-round players, that's all they'll get. Ewers will likely get another opportunity or two. And he'll have to impress in that one if he is going to have a realistic chance at making an NFL roster. Luis Muriel and Martín Ojeda propel Orlando City to 4-1 victory over Inter Miami

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Luis Muriel scored a goal in each half and Martín Ojeda had a goal and an assist to lead Orlando City to a 4-1 victory over Inter Miami on Sunday night. Muriel scored in the 2nd minute to give Orlando City (9-6-8) a lead that lasted just three minutes after Yannick Bright scored unassisted for his first career goal in his 40th appearance to pull Inter Miami (12-5-6) even. Ojeda collected his 13th assist on Muriel's goal, extending his club-record streak with a goal contribution to 14. Orlando City took a 2-1 lead five minutes into the second half on Muriel's unassisted eighth goal of the season. Ojeda found the net for the 14th time this season to give Orlando City a 3-1 lead in the 58th minute. His 27 goal contributions lead the league. Marco Pašalić scored unassisted in the 88th minute for a three-goal advantage. It was his 10th goal in his first season in the league. Pedro Gallese totaled four saves in goal for Orlando City. Óscar Ustari turned away eight shots for Inter Miami. Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi, who is tied with Nashville SC's Sam Surridge for the league lead with 18 goals, missed the match due to a right leg injury the 38-year-old suffered Aug. 2 in a Leagues Cup match against Necaxa. Messi's 18 goals have come while playing in 18 of his club's 23 matches. Orlando City jumps into fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Oscar Pareja needs one more victory to reach 100 across all competitions. Inter Miami sits in sixth place but has three matches in hand against the top four and two in hand against the fifth-place Columbus Crew. Inter Miami will host the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday. Orlando City will host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. ___ AP soccer: The Associated Press
