
Escape Plan announces partnership with Hrithik Roshan's HRX
The collaboration marks a significant step for both brands in building utility-driven, design-forward products that cater to the new-age Indian traveller, the company said in a statement.
With a rapidly growing direct to customer (D2C) presence and a Rs 100 crore annualised run rate achieved within just three months of launch, with over 20% coming from offline stores, Escape Plan is reimagining how India travels: combining performance, design, and tech-driven functionality across its expanding product portfolio, it said. Designed with the modern explorer in mind, the HRX and Escape Plan collection blends performance, style, and utility across products such as luggage, organisers, and other travel essentials, it said.
The curated range will be available through Escape Plan's own and partner platforms and offline stores, reflecting its ethos of building products that today's consumers love, it added.

Aamir Khan's 'laughable' cameo in Rajinkanth's Coolie disappoints; Reddit says: 'Shah Rukh dodged a bullet rejecting it'
For almost four decades, Aamir Khan has been one of the foremost actors in Hindi cinema. But he has almost never crossed language boundaries, appearing in films from other Indian cinema industries. It took Rajinikanth to change that. The actor has a cameo in Rajini's latest release - Coolie - which hit the screens today (August 14). What is Aamir Khan's role in Coolie? Aamir appears towards the end of Coolie as Daaha, the head of a global criminal syndicate, of which the film's villain (Simon, played by Nagarjuna) is a part. Daaha faces off against Rajinikanth's Deva in an undisclosed location, with Deva's man Friday - Kalishaa (Upendra) - also present for the encounter. Prior to the film's release, the makers had revealed that Aamir had a cameo in Coolie, and even released a first-look poster. Aamir's character was featured in the film's trailer as well. Some reports had claimed that Lokesh had initially offered the role to Shah Rukh Khan, who could not say yes because of scheduling conflicts with his upcoming film, King. Internet reacts to Aamir Khan's Coolie cameo A post on the subreddit Boly Blinds n Gossip seemed to throw shade at the cameo with the title: 'So SRK really dodged a bullet by rejecting this cameo'. It implied that the cameo was not worthy of a star of the Khans' calibre. In the comments section, most agreed that not only was the cameo unmemorable, but Aamir was completely wasted in it. "Big escape. Worst cameo per reviews," read one comment. Another echoed, "Yeah, made a (clown emoji) out of him." Many wondered why Aamir even agreed to do the film. One fan wrote, "The last 15 mins were UNBEARABLE. Why did he even accept to do this cameo? I was so done with the fight sequences. The movie by itself was super annoying. Liked the first half. Second half was super random." Another added, "Just came back from the FDFS of the Tamil version. Believe me, Aamir was wasted like anything. Dont know why even agreed to do this cameo. It was laugh-worthy." Some Aamir fans put the blame on director Lokesh Kanagaraj, recalling that even Sanjay Dutt was not utilised properly in his previous film, Leo. "Believe it, Loki cannot use Bollywood actors; he only casts them to gain hype," complained one fan. A few fans differed from the majority opinion, however, saying they liked seeing a different side of Aamir. "It was an unnecessary cameo, but it was pretty fun. Least it lent to a really great flashback sequence with a de-aged Rajini. Was cute hearing Aamir speak Tamizh too, and pretty well at that," wrote one. How War 2's writing and direction left Jr. NTR stranded in a loud but hollow action spectacle
When War 2 was announced with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR by Yash Raj Films, expectations soared. The idea of uniting one of Bollywood's most charismatic stars with a mass-action powerhouse from the South promised a monster blockbuster. But what the movie buffs saw on August 14 was far from the explosive collaboration fans had imagined. Cinemagoers and critics have expressed disappointment, believing that Jr. NTR's talent is exemplary and that the movie could have offered him much more. From the very start, Jr. NTR's presence in War 2 feels undercooked. His introduction scene which is supposed to be his big mass entry moment, looks more like a stylised Instagram AI reel than a piece of cutting-edge filmmaking. With the Shaitan track in the background, the scene has style, but it lacks the weight, emotional build-up, fake abs, and gravitas required to make it memorable. The problem lies in… Jr. NTR's character isn't explored much, with few dialogues and little emotional depth. Rather than giving him a solid arc or standout moments to show his intensity, the script leaves him as just another member of the team, lost in the noise of generic action scenes and a loud background score. For someone known for commanding the screen, it feels like his talent wasn't used to its full potential. The imbalance in character portrayal While Hrithik Roshan's Kabir enjoys a detailed build-up, NTR's Vikram is given no such luxury. His entry into the plot feels abrupt, his skills underexplored, and his chemistry with the rest of the cast underdeveloped. Director Ayan Mukerji is the man behind stellar visuals in Brahmastra . He seemed more focused on style than substance here. Unfortunately, the style is let down by subpar VFX, further diluting the impact of Jr. NTR's action moments. With such a massive budget and YRF's resources, the lack of polish feels like an even bigger letdown. YRF seems to have wasted an opportunity with War 2. Not just for Jr. NTR, but for fans who expected the Spy Universe to level up with this North-South star power.
