Chris Hemsworth shares 'magical' moment with Robert Downey Jr on The Avengers set

Chris Hemsworth has returned for Disney+'s Limitless where he looks into ways of living better.
Chris Hemsworth has opened up on the 'magical' moment he shared on the set of The Avengers with his co-stars. Renowned as Thor, Australian star Chris Hemsworth is part of the iconic The Avengers team, along with Chris Evans' Captain America, Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk, Florence Pugh's Black Widow and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye.

The 42-year-old took a break from the Marvel franchise to film the second season of Limitless for Disney+ which sees him learning how to live better.

One of the challenges he was given to improve brain power was by learning how to play the drums and perform in front of thousands of people at an Ed Sheeran concert.

During a Q&A for the new series, cognitive scientist Maya Shankar explained that the 42-year-old would have felt collective effervescence, a form of awe experienced when in groups.
She added: 'We feel the boundaries between us dissolve, we feel more connected with one another.
'People describe having full blown spiritual experiences in these masses.'
Hemsworth then stepped in to share another memory he had when he felt this way.
He commented: 'I've had nothing to this degree but I remember being on The Avengers 2 or 3 and there was a fair bit of improvisation happening and 10 different characters in a room and something clicked and a few things came about.

'Robert Downey Jr afterwards came up and said 'Did you feel that?'
'I said 'Yeah that was quite cool.''

He continued: 'Every now and again, you tend to orchestrate it and capture it and that's what you're chasing the whole time.
'It's those little moments of magic where everything just falls into place and you're no longer trying to articulate or analyse, it's beyond you.'
Five years have gone by since Avengers: Endgame came out but the wait for the next chapter is nearing its end.
Hemsworth along with the other Avengers stars are currently working on the follow-up film Avengers: Doomsday.
An official release date hasn't been announced just yet but it is expecting to come out sometime in 2026.

Chris Hemsworth's Centr app shuts down Melbourne HQ and sacks 15 staff after $100m sale to Jeff Bezos's brother

Chris Hemsworth's wellness empire is slimming down after his fitness app Centr has officially closed its Melbourne headquarters, as the company shifts the bulk of its operations to the United States. The move comes just over a year after the actor, 42, sold the app for a reported $100m to HighPost Capital, a private equity firm co-founded by Mark Bezos - the brother of Amazon boss Jeff Bezos. A spokesperson for Centr confirmed that the Melbourne office will no longer operate, and only a few Australian employees will remain on board in remote roles. The spokesperson said: 'As Centr continues to scale globally, we've made the strategic decision to consolidate operations in the US to improve operational and geographic efficiency.' 'This transition affects 15 roles, with a few team members continuing remotely as part of the US–based team. Centr remains focused on continued growth across its digital platform, performance–grade equipment, and global partnerships.' Nick Robinson, Centr's digital general manager, added that the company planned to 'continue to drive towards business goals' through 'streamlining operations' and hiring top talent in the US. It's the second wave of job cuts to hit the Australian team in just over a year, after a previous round of layoffs saw around 20 roles slashed. Until recently, the Melbourne office served as Centr's hub for content creation, customer service, and sales and marketing for Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Daily Mail understands all 23 remaining staff in the Melbourne office were summoned to a meeting and informed it would be their final day with the company. One senior creative, who is currently five months pregnant, took to LinkedIn and claimed she was given no warning before being told her role was being terminated immediately. The brutal timing of the layoffs also raised eyebrows given Chris has been spotted vacationing in Spain with wife Elsa Pataky and their children in recent weeks. It comes just a month after former Centr CEO Zsofi Paterson departed the company and announced she had taken up a new role with children's photo–sharing startup Tinybeans. Chris launched Centr in 2019, leveraging his global fame and shredded physique to attract subscribers to the platform, which offers high-intensity workouts, meal plans, meditation routines, and wellness tips. The app charges $119 annually or $20 per month and still prominently features Chris in marketing campaigns, despite his reduced involvement in the day-to-day running of the business. When it was acquired by HighPost Capital, owned by David Moross and Mark Bezos, the company moved its headquarters to Los Angeles but kept a team in Melbourne. In April 2022, Chris told his 54 million social media followers that he was 'thrilled' Centr had been acquired by Mark Bezos. At the time of the sale, a Centr representative said Chris would keep an active role in the company and that he was still a major shareholder. The company's website retains the actor's image as founder and carries his endorsement. It reads: 'As one of Hollywood's leading men, Chris is known for diverse roles that require serious physical transformations.' 'He attributes much of his success to his team of world-class experts in fitness, nutrition and wellness. With Centr, his team is now your team.'

Bella Thorne pulls bizarre stunt on her fiance that leaves fans divided: 'This just feels wrong'

Bella Thorne pulled a bizarre stunt on her fiancé Mark Emms that had her fans flooding the comments section of her social media page with mixed reactions. Fans of the 27-year-old actress seemed wholly divided when she shared an Instagram post proposing to her partner — one year after he had already proposed to her. She got down on one knee in the living room of their home, which was decorated with flowers and lit candles. In her caption, she commemorated their anniversary and wrote: '3 years ago we met, 1 year later he proposed, now 1 year later so did I.' The Disney child star — who claimed a major male pop star made up a 'lie' about her after she refused to sleep with him — included photos and videos from different angles of her low-key, at-home proposal. Many of her fans took to the comments section to share their opinions on her popping the question again — as some gushed with praise and others harshly criticized her. During her proposal, the film producer also got down on his knees so that they were eye level. After she concluded her speech, the couple kissed and wrapped their arms around each other as they embraced. In addition to the clips of her proposal, she also included several snapshots of the romantic setting with red and white flowers around the room. Thorne also snapped a photo of her future husband with a wide-eyed, smiling expression and his arms in the air as he posed underneath dozens of red heart balloons. She also shared a selfie of him kissing her cheek as well as a mirror selfie with Emms hugging her from behind. The pair were first romantically linked in August 2022 after meeting at Cara Delevingne's birthday party that year. He asked her to marry him nine months after they started dating. In May 2023, she announced that Emms had proposed to her the day before Mother's Day at her house, popping the question to her with a massive, emerald-cut diamond ring. Mum censors three seconds of Disney's Tangled but everyone says same thing

A mum has caused a stir after choosing to censor the same "three seconds" of a popular Disney film because she doesn't want her daughter to hear or be negatively influenced by it A mum has taken to 'censoring' the same part of a song in Disney's smash hit animated film Tangled but it's left many people disagreeing with her. Tangled, released in 2010, tells the story of Rapunzel, a princess who is kidnapped by the evil, narcissistic Mother Gothel who is desperate to hold onto her youth and beauty. ‌ She locks Rapunzel in an isolated tower and raises her as her own, all so she can use the princess's famous golden hair for her personal gain. This is because Rapunzel's hair has magical qualities that can heal wounds and reverse time, helping Mother Gothel maintain her looks. ‌ As the film progresses, Rapunzel's curiosity about the outside world grows and she raises these feelings with Mother Gothel. This leads to the hit song, Mother Knows Best, in which the evil character tries to instil deep fears into Rapunzel. ‌ She sings about 'ruffians, thugs, poison ivy, quicksand, cannibals and snakes' as well as 'the plague' and 'men with pointy teeth' in a bid to terrify Rapunzel. To hammer things home further, Mother Gothel then goes on to criticise Rapunzel's character, blasting her as 'sloppy, underdressed, immature, [and] clumsy', as well as 'gullible, naïve', 'positively grubby' and 'ditzy'. The next line, however, is being consistently censored by one mum who doesn't want her daughter to hear it. It's when Mother Gothel sings: 'Plus, I believe, getting kinda chubby," while tapping underneath Rapunzel's chin. In a video shared to TikTok, the woman's little girl can be seen from behind as she watches the film. When it's time for the offending lyric, the mum mutes the track before turning the volume up once it's passed. ‌ Over the top of the footage, the mum added the words: 'Muting the same three seconds every time my daughter asks to watch Tangled." But many other TikTok users thought this was an unusual and unwarranted tactic to take which could do more harm than good. One person said: 'She censored 'chubby' we are doomed as a society." ‌ Another said: 'Prepare the child for the road not the road for the child.' To which, someone else replied: 'This exactly. It would be the perfect time to open up a dialogue about why that line in context is wrong and why it's also wrong to apply to real life.' A fourth suggested: 'Couldn't you just explain to her why Mother Gothel is wrong?' ‌ While a fifth said: 'Since Mother Gothel is the 'bad guy' use that to help explain [how] what she said was wrong and bad." Offering a different perspective, another TikTok user said: 'God forbid she wants her child to be body positive." But someone else replied: 'The whole point is the evil character is saying this. Censoring anything negative is just going to affect her child later on..." ‌ Another person said: 'She's a villain, of course she's going to be mean. What???' And another said: 'Thing is, every time you pause it, you're drawing attention to it." Others were confused as to why the mum felt the need to censor the word 'chubby' but not any of the other negative things Mother Gothel said about Rapunzel. One person said: 'All of the other things she is saying and mom is hyper focused on the chubby part????' Another added: 'Why would you not censor all the other things Mother Gothel is saying. Things that are literally worse than the chubby line."
