Ohtani, Judge top MLB jersey sales from first half of 2025
The leader is no surprise: Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese two-way star has led the league in jersey sales since 2023, both domestically and abroad. Next comes Aaron Judge, who is currently making a run at the Triple Crown.
Rounding out the top five are two more of Ohtani's Dodgers teammates, World Series hero Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, as well as Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor.
Of the top 20, taken from sales of Nike jerseys across Fanatics sites including MLBshop.com since opening day, 13 are 2025 All-Stars.
Just five players appear in the top 20 rankings for the first time in their careers: Rafael Devers, Jarren Duran, Jung Hoo Lee, Pete Crow-Armstrong and Tarik Skull.

He missed over two months of baseball after suffering a shoulder injury, and since returning to the mound in July for the Los Angeles Dodgers, he hasn't exactly been at his best either. But on Monday, Glasnow managed to turn things around after a rough few first innings, performing well despite the Dodgers' 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Glasnow was missing the mark in the first two innings. But something clicked for him when he played off of his breaking ball. In the end, he threw seven innings, allowed just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out seven — a performance certainly good enough to get the Dodgers the win. The bullpen, however, had other ideas, with Brock Stewart being tagged for an earned run in the ninth, leading to the Dodgers' loss. It seems as though Glasnow is rounding into form, and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts couldn't be any more proud of him. In fact, Roberts showered Glasnow with praise, saying that he'll be playing a major part in the team's World Series hopes after missing the entirety of the 2024 playoffs with injury. 'Our goal hasn't changed. It's to win a World Series. We're going to do that this year with starting pitching. And he's going to be a big part of it,' Roberts said in his postgame presser, via Cary Osborne, Dodgers insider. Roberts, of course, is not expecting Glasnow to be perfect from here on out. He knows that facing adversity is inevitable, but he believes that the Dodgers will help Glasnow figure it out. 'It's not going to be linear. It's not going to be easy. There's going to be things that you can't control, and he's finding a way to weather those things and continue to move forward. So for me, that's kind of the silver lining for tonight. And really, really impressive, Tyler (was),' Roberts added. Dodgers may need divine intervention to jumpstart offense The Dodgers' offense hasn't been at its best for a while now. Since the first of July, they've ranked just 23rd in runs scored. For a team as purportedly stacked as the Dodgers', this will not do. In fact, Mookie Betts, who is in the middle of his worst MLB season to date, is looking for some sort of divine intervention to help him end his slump. And perhaps he should expand his prayer to cover for the rest of the Dodgers team's woes on that side of the ball. For much of the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been as dominant as ever, boasting depth up and down the roster on both sides of the ball. But a team can only be as good as their worst side of the ball, and at the moment, the Dodgers cannot hit a lick. On Monday night, the Dodgers were on the receiving end of a 3-2 loss from the St. Louis Cardinals — with Sonny Gray shutting the team down. It's not like the Dodgers are experiencing severe injury woes. They had the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, and Mookie Betts active — with Max Muncy even returning from the injured list. But all they could muster against the Cardinals were three hits, failing to give Tyler Glasnow the run support he needed to grab a win. Baseball is about timing and sequencing. The Dodgers could at least take a bit of comfort in the fact that their offense is sputtering in August, not in October. After all, manager Dave Roberts believes that it's only a matter of time before his team turns it around at the plate — they're simply 'too talented' not to. 'The offense will get on track, it's gonna happen at some point, we're just too talented for it not to,' Roberts said in his postgame presser, per SportsNet LA. Considering the track record of the players they have on the roster, this belief from Roberts is not misplaced. But past performance isn't necessarily an indicator of future production. Someone like Betts, for example, is 32 years of age already. Aging curves are different for each player, and there's a chance that his level of play in 2025 is his new normal. But indeed, only time will tell if this offensive rut from the Dodgers is something they have to worry about or something they simply have to overcome. Dodgers' offensive woes may be overblown Since the start of July, the Dodgers have not been very good offensively. They rank just 23rd in MLB in total runs scored, which is a far cry from where they usually rank. But on the year, the Dodgers have scored 578 runs — good for third-best in MLB. A good offensive team does not become a horrific one overnight. As is the case with every ballplayer, there are ebbs and flows — the Dodgers are simply getting the short end of the stick with their players simultaneously going cold. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Nathan Eovaldi pitched eight sharp innings, Rowdy Tellez blooped a two-run single on a 10-pitch at-bat in the eighth, and the Texas Rangers spoiled Aaron Judge's return with a 2-0 victory over the New York Yankees on Tuesday night. Judge was 0 for 3 with two strikeouts as the designated hitter after being activated from the 10-day injured list. The All-Star slugger has a tendon strain in his right elbow, and the Yankees plan to start a throwing program Wednesday to see how soon Judge can return to the outfield.
