Babil Khan Is Back On Instagram After Family Clarifies Viral Video Was "Misinterpreted"
Babil Khan has been in the eye of the storm since his viral video emerged on Sunday (April 4) where he said "Bollywood is so f****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude." Hours after deactivating his Instagram account after the video went viral, Babil Khan is back on Instagram. He hasn't shared a new post clarifying the story behind the video till now. However, he's been actively sharing posts of his industry colleagues like Siddhant Chaturvedi, Adarsh Gourav, whom he had named in the viral video, on his Instagram Stories.

A video, which was shared on Reddit, went crazy viral on Sunday, in which Babil Khan was visibly seen upset, crying and talking about how he feels isolated in the industry. Babil Khan took several names of his industry colleagues, leaving fans intrigued.

"What I mean to say is that, I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even... Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names. Bollywood is so f****ed. Bollywood is so, so rude," Babil Khan was heard saying in the video.
After the Internet started chatting about the video and Babil's equation with other actors (whom he named in the video), his team and family issued a joint statement and clarified that the video was "widely misinterpreted".
The statement read, "Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days - and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon."
"In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration - for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry," the note added.
"We respectfully urge media publications and the public to consider the full context of his words rather than drawing conclusions from fragmented video clips," the statement concluded.
Irrfan Khan's elder son Babil made his debut with the Netflix original Qala (2022). He went on to star in films like Friday Night Plan, Logout. He also acted in the web series The Railway Men.

American actor Jason Biggs is shedding light on a deeply personal and harrowing chapter of his life, opening up about the extent of his struggles with drug addiction. Known for his breakout role as a teenager in American Pie, Jason spoke about one of the darkest episodes from his 20s—a period when substance use began to spiral out of control. Speaking on a new episode of Arielle Lorre's Well podcast, the now 47-year-old actor didn't hold back in sharing what he described as one of the 'craziest stories' from his 20s. Alone in his house at 4 a.m. while his wife Jenny Mollen was asleep upstairs, Jason said, 'I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was the last line.' Hoping to put an end to the binge, he threw the remaining cocaine in the trash. But the decision didn't stick for long. 'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, I'm like, 'What am I doing?' I go into my trash and I take it out and I do a line,' he added. Trying again to stop himself, he moved the bag outside. ''Okay, I'm done,'' he told himself after tossing it into the garbage bin in front of his house. But even after taking an Ambien to sleep, the pull was too strong. 'Before I took the Ambien, I was like, 'One more.' I went outside and I climbed into the trash bin and got the bag of coke and went upstairs and did another line.' It was in that moment that reality hit. 'I was like, 'What the f**k am I doing? This is absolutely insane',' he recalled. The night escalated further. Jason said he got into his car, drove down in Los Angeles, and found a stranger's trash can. He put the cocaine into a discarded coffee cup and threw it away again. But the cycle continued. 'I drove back to the trash can, retrieved the baggie of drugs from the coffee cup, and snorted another line.' He acknowledged how unwilling he was to truly quit: 'I could have easily opened the baggie and dumped it down the toilet, but I didn't. That's too final. I knew I was going to finish that bag the moment I got it, but I kept playing this game with myself. That was very close to rock bottom.' Now years removed from that night, Jason credits his move from Los Angeles to New York as a turning point. 'There's something about the energy of New York that gives me something, that fills me in a way that Los Angeles couldn't. I do believe coming to New York helped me. So, I did fall off the wagon here, but that was seven and a half years ago, and it's been going well.' Jason says he has been sober since 2017, the same year he and Mollen welcomed their second son. In a 2018 Instagram post marking one year of sobriety, he wrote, 'I first tried to get sober over five years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle. Turns out this s**t is hard. After some fits and starts, I've managed to put together one year of sobriety. I'm as proud of it as anything in my life.' His message to others was clear: 'If you're struggling, know there's help. Don't be ashamed. We can do this.'

Thug Life grossed slightly over Rs 36 crore worldwide on its opening day. Due to poor word of mouth, the film saw a striking drop over the subsequent days. Infact, Leo, in advance, grossed more than what Thug Life will, in the full run. Housefull 5 opened to good worldwide collections of a little over Rs 38 crore. It grossed Rs 26.50 crore (Rs 22 crore net) in India, and managed around Rs 12 crore from international markets. The film went from strength to strength over the weekend, growing on Bakri Eid and then also on Sunday. The India gross total of Housefull 5 after 3 days is Rs 95 crore, while it has grossed around Rs 36.50 crores internationally. The weekend collections are the highest for an Akshay Kumar starrer as a lead hero, be it in India, overseas or worldwide. Housefull 5 is holding well in India on Monday. The collections internationally are expected to show bigger drops because the driver of the collections of Housefull 5 over the weekend were the Gulf countries and the Gulf market is more frontloaded. Had it been North America leading the numbers, one could have expected better holds for the comic caper. Regardless, it has done well for itself.
