'Wohooo': Jasprit Bumrah Shows Off Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Signed AC Milan Jersey
The cricketer received a signed shirt from Sweden and AC Milan's legendary footballer on his Instagram feed, while also thanking his wife, Sanjana Ganesan for arranging it.
Jasprit Bumrah couldn't hold back his excitement upon receiving a signed shirt from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the most successful strikers in football history. The ace Indian speedster revealed it in a story post over Instagram on Tuesday, August 19.
Bumrah thanked his wife and TV anchor Sanjay Ganesan for bringing home the football legend's shirt and expressed his great delight, stating, 'Wohoo words fall short. Ecstatic" in the post featuring Ibrahimovic's AC Milan gear with the former Swedish striker's signature and warm wishes for the fellow sportsperson.
Notably, Bumrah backed the post with the famous Sanjin & Youthman song made in 2013 on Zlatan after his legendary bicycle kick during the 2012 international friendly against England gave him global recognition and incredible fame.
Bumrah has always had a great fondness for football and admires some of its leading performers. The masterful right-arm seamer was part of the Indian touring contingent that met Manchester United players at the sidelines of the five-Test series against England last month.
From exchanging shirts to posing for pictures, the glittery meet-up between the Indian cricket team and the Red Devils was a thrilling affair for sports lovers around the globe.
The excitement was palpable on the cricketers' faces as they got the chance to spend time with their favourite United players. Bumrah shared a picture from his interaction with defender Harry Maguire.
Maguire gleefully swapped shirts with Bumrah and posted a thanking message via his Instagram feed for the great fast bowler, who had responded accordingly. The event highlighted great respect and admiration between the two immensely popular sporting teams.
For Bumrah, it hasn't been the most pleasant three weeks since coming back early to India amidst heavy criticism around his workload concerns and alleged commitment issues for missing two of the five Tests during the England series.
Despite taking two five-wicket hauls in Headingley and Lord's, the seamer has been subjected to heightened scrutiny by fans and experts, who even raised speculations over his future in Test cricket and wondered whether the great bowler will be around for too long in the format with his injury-prone back.
