Puttaparthi: District Collector TS Chetan has directed officials of various departments to handle PGRS (Public Grievance Redressal System) petitions with utmost responsibility and attention.
During the public grievance redressal programme held at the District Secretariat's Grievance Hall on Monday, the Collector personally received petitions from citizens across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that officials must respond meaningfully to each petition and ensure effective redressal. Every grievance will be audited, and officials are expected to coordinate with field staff to provide timely and satisfactory responses.
The progress of grievance resolutions will be reviewed weekly, and in cases where grievances are re-opened, officials must provide clear justifications. Citizens submitted petitions related to land disputes, ration cards, housing titles, and pension approvals, among other issues.
A total of 228 petitions were received during the session. The event was attended by DRO Vijaya Saradhi, Puttaparthi RDO, Special Deputy Collector Suvarna Surya Narayana Reddy, and officials from various departments.

Nellore: Joint Collector and also in-charge Collector K Karthik on Monday expressed displeasure over the inordinate delay in disposing the petitions received during Public Grievance Redress System (PGRRS). He pointed out that such kind of situation leads to reopening of the petitions as the victims repeatedly submits their issues. He directed the officials concerned to ensure speedy disposal of petitions that were received during PGRRS to avoid unrest among the victims. Stressing that the government is giving top priority to settle the problems received during PGRS, he instructed the officials to work according to the wishes of the government by considering the issues under humanitarian grounds. Meanwhile, the officials received petitions, mostly related to pensions, white ration cards, land disputes including land grabbing, 10-1 Adangal, border problems between two fields, pattadar passbooks, house sites.

Anantapur: District Superintendent of Police P Jagadeesh directed police officials to resolve public grievances within the legal framework in a manner that ensures petitioners' satisfaction. As part of the Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS) held on Monday at the District Police Conference Hall, a total of 103 petitions were received from people across Anantapur District. He personally received the petitions, interacted directly with the complainants, and assured them of thorough resolutions. He instructed concerned police officials via Zoom to immediately address the grievances and take necessary legal action to ensure justice for the petitioners. Emphasizing the importance of public complaints, the SP urged officials to avoid negligence and resolve issues promptly. The petitions covered a variety of matters including family disputes, land issues, and financial problems. Women DSP S Mahaboob Basha also participated in the programme.
