Team Nickelback is facing some heat — but not for the reason you'd expect.
The Canadian rock act has become a figure that the masses love to hate, but this time Nickelback's sound guy — not the band themselves — is the one catching flak. Country singer Gavin Adcock took to social media this week to call out the engineer, who allegedly stirred up trouble with his family at the Rock the Country festival in South Carolina. The incident allegedly caused the artist to run into the crowd mid-performance to intervene.
According to Adcock's two Instagram posts, the brouhaha began when the mother of his acoustic guitar player left an empty drink on a soundboard. Nickelback was also on site to perform at the festival, and when their sound engineer saw the drink, he tossed it off the equipment, and began 'cussing out' the mother, per Adcock's account.
Adcock's family was also present at the show, and when his father saw the exchange, he stepped in.
'My Dad hears it, probably about five, 10 yards away, steps over, gets in the dude's face,' Adcock said. 'Basically tells him 'you better back up dude, because people from the South don't act that way, we don't know where you're from, but you need to get out of here.''
Adcock witnessed the incident unfold from the stage, he said, noting that the engineer then got 'on his phone like a little snake.'
He added: 'I'm up there singing 'Cigarette' — he gets security to come down there, and I see him, and they're about to grab my Dad, and I just run down the alley and tell 'em, 'nah, you ain't kicking me out, he's the one causing problems."
From there, Adcock said security removed the sound engineer.
'My family had been standing there for 17 songs,' Adcock said in a separate video. 'I watched them the whole show, not causing any problems. You come up in my family's face, trying to get my Dad kicked out..and you know what? I got you kicked out.'
In addition to Adcock and Nickelback, performers at the South Carolina festival included Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Hank Williams Jr., among others.
Adcock is currently gearing up for the release of his new album 'Own Worst Enemy,' which arrives August 15.

Ryan Reynolds Possibly Teases Deadpool Joining Avengers: Doomsday Cast

Ryan Reynolds' recent post has seemingly teased Deadpool's entry into Avengers: Doomsday, months after the movie's official cast announcement. Reynolds, who made his MCU debut with the 2024 movie Deadpool & Wolverine, was not included in the cast list revealed for the upcoming Avengers outing back in March. However, at the time of writing, Marvel Studios has not made any statement regarding the actor's cryptic post. Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds posts cryptic tease for Avengers: Doomsday Ryan Reynolds recently surprised Marvel fans by sharing a post on Instagram, seemingly hinting at Deadpool joining the Avengers: Doomsday cast. The post showcased the Avengers logo with a red 'A' spray-painted over it. However, he didn't mention anything in the caption, creating more curiosity around the post. As soon as the post arrived on his Instagram, fans chimed in to share their theories about Deadpool's possible inclusion in Avengers: Doomsday. Currently, Marvel Studios has not made any announcement regarding Reynolds joining the upcoming movie. In April, the actor spoke with TIME, where he shared his views on Deadpool joining the Avengers or the X-Men. He said, 'If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or an X-Man, we're at the end. That's wish fulfillment, and you can't give him that.' Before that, Reynolds echoed the same thought during an interview with THR in December 2024. He told the outlet that he finds Deadpool's 'enthusiasm and longing to be part of a team' very endearing. But Reynolds doesn't think Deadpool 'should ever be an Avenger or an X-Man,' as, according to him, 'If he becomes either, we're at the end.' Reynolds also stated that Deadpool appearing in the Avengers and X-Men movies 'works so well,' but 'he always needs to stay an outsider.' Now, it remains to be seen if Deadpool will make an appearance in Doomsday or not. Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, is expected to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026. Ranvir Singh's withering swipe at Brooklyn Beckham's vow renewal - and theory on why he won't change surname

Presenter Ranvir Singh has given her scathing opinion on Brooklyn Beckham's recent vow renewal with Nicola Peltz and why the eldest Beckham child has kept his surname. The budding chef, 26, and Transformers actress, 30, held a ceremony at Nicola's billionaire father's sprawling estate in Westchester County on August 2. Brooklyn's parents David and Victoria Beckham weren't at the event amid relentless rumours of a family feud and reportedly found their exclusion 'cruel and spiteful'. Brooklyn and Nicola faced backlash for the vow renewal, with some critics wondering why they were having a ceremony after just three years of marriage. Ranvir, 48, spoke with US entertainment correspondent Ross King and Woman and Home's Hannah Fernando about the high-profile ceremony on Lorraine. When Hannah mentioned Brooklyn's desire to renew his vows annually, Ranvir said bluntly: "He hasn't got a job, that's why." The Good Morning Britain presenter also addressed criticism about Brooklyn keeping his surname despite the apparent tension with the rest of his family. "There seems to be quite a lot of kickback from fans looking at it and going, 'If he feels so separated from the Beckhams, maybe he should change his surname,'' she said. Ranvir remarked: "He lives off that name essentially, that is his inheritance.' Nicola shared several photos from the ceremony on Instagram of the couple exchanging vows and partying with her friends and family afterwards. She captioned them 'only love' and 'this day meant so much to us'. The actress chose to honour her mother, Claudia, for the occasion by repurposing the dress she wore on her wedding day in 1985 while Brooklyn donned a classic black tuxedo. In the final image of Nicola's post, the couple can be seen facing each other as her father Nelson reads from a card, leading the intimate service. A source told The Sun: 'This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria. Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited.' The insider added: 'His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them. 'It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that. This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy – and see no way back.' Brooklyn and Nicola first tied the knot in a lavish £3million ceremony in 2022, when the relationship reportedly began to sour with his parents amid tensions surrounding his marriage to the billionaire heiress. Previously, Brooklyn raised eyebrows by failing to address a series of family milestones on social media, including David's naming in the King's birthday honours, Father's Day, David's 50th birthday, Victoria's 51st birthday, and his parents' 26th wedding anniversary. Last month, Brooklyn's brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, appeared to 'block' him on Instagram. The savage move came hours after Brooklyn broke his social media silence with his family to wish their sister Harper a happy 14th birthday. Sources close to Brooklyn later told The Standard that Brooklyn and Nicola were 'likely blocked' by his younger siblings. While Brooklyn and Nicola have renewed their vows, David, 50, and Victoria, 51, Beckham have been enjoying their holiday along the Italian coast and various inland excursions. They were joined by Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel, 29.
