Hollyoaks reveals Jez wedding shocker as another dead body is confirmed

Metro14-07-2025
There's nothing more eventful than a Hollyoaks wedding, which is something that Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) and John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) are about to find out for themselves next week.
The grooms-to-be are set to tie the knot in what promises to be an explosive week for the Channel 4 soap, with Jez's deadly antics set to cause quite a stir.
The gardener, as viewers know, is a dastardly serial killer who has been committing murderous acts for decades.
Since his arrival in the village a year ago (two years ago in the show's universe), he's claimed the lives of Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith), Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) and social worker Ian.
He's also murdered Dennis Savage (Joe Tracini), who was last seen on screens in 2018.
Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) has been investigating Dennis' murder for months and next week tragedy strikes when the character's body is found.
The undercover policeman receives the update just seconds after a confrontation with Liberty (Jessamy Stoddart), who has been having an affair with Jez.

Dodger, having been given reason to suspect such a thing, urges Lib to come clean about the questionable romance when he gets a phone call to confirm Dennis' remains have been uncovered.
Reeling, Liberty shares the tragic update with Sienna (Anna Passey) and Martha (Sherrie Hewson).
John Paul, meanwhile, grows suspicious of Jez's commitment to him and tells his fiancé that he's not sure he loves him. Enraged, Jez smashes a mirror amid a violent outburst.
As the day of the wedding arrives, Jez gets set to tie up all of his loose ends. No matter the cost. John Paul, however, is still full of doubts, with his family offering him support.
Determined to win him back, Jez urges JP to give him once more shot. And as the wedding guests gather, the murderer is delighted to see John Paul at the altar.
The question is: with secrets galore, will the vows be exchanged?
That remains to be seen but what I can tell you is that, the fallout of the wedding results in emotions running high – and danger closes in fast.
Later, at the allotment, Libery visits Jez. But is their love affair at an end?
Tony meets with Mercedes ahead of The Dog re-opening, sharing his hopes of rebuilding his family as he and Diane move back into the pub. More Trending
Armed with newfound confidence, Tony asks Diane to give them another shot. With risks involved and the children to think about, Di reckons they should take things slow.
Later in the week, a vendetta leads to Tony making a life-changing detour. Jack, meanwhile, is delighted to be asked back behind the bar.

Tom Hiddleston's fiancée sets record straight on wedding claims and reveals ‘toxic paragraphs' from family members

Zawe Ashton has been with the Marvel star for over six years TRUTH TIME Tom Hiddleston's fiancée sets record straight on wedding claims and reveals 'toxic paragraphs' from family members Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THE MARVELS star Zawe Ashton has set the record straight amid rumours she's secretly married long-time love Tom Hiddleston. The famous couple have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye, going public for the first time in 2021 after a rumoured two years of dating. When the announcement noted Tom as Zawe's 'husband', rumours started circulating that they had secretly tied the knot. This week, Zawe joined longtime pal Miquita Oliver on her Miss Me? podcast, clearing up the speculation – and revealing even family members had believed it, sending her upsetting messages in the process after 'not being invited'. She told Miquita: 'We've been engaged for a long time. There are … I think there have been publications that have named us husband and wife already.' 'Like 'uh, okay, no invite? Whatever.' It's like, no, no, no. It didn't happen! We didn't do it in secret. We haven't eloped.' Despite the pair not making it official, Zawe did note that the pair do call each other husband and wife, which may have been where the confusion came from. She added: 'It's just a semantics thing. I think at some point you're like 'girlfriend, boyfriend' … with a kid and another one on the way? Does that feel right?' Zawe – who first shot to fame on Channel 4 sitcom Fresh Meat in the early 2000s – added that for some reason it 'p***ed off married couples' that they call each other husband and wife without actually getting married. Tom and Zawe have been running in similar social circles throughout their career, and were first photographed at a friendly event in 2018 celebrating the career of Harold Pinter. Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton discuss their roles in hit Harold Pinter play Betrayal Shortly after, the pair were cast alongside each other in a play by the same famed playwright, Betrayal, portraying husband and wife Robert and Emma. After a West End run in 2019, the show was transferred to Broadway, with the pair reprising their roles – during that time, it was noted they had got close. They finally went public with their first official outing as a couple at the Tony Awards in 2021. Since then, Zawe joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Marvels' villain Dar-Benn.
