Netflix fans 'in tears' after watching 'overlooked' film based on true story
A Netflix fan has recommended a 'must-watch' film on the streaming platform which will leave you 'crying your eyes out' - it's a heart-breaking true story that's been labelled 'overlooked'
Netflix viewers have been encouraged to watch a 'must-see' film they claim will leave you 'in tears'. The heart-wrenching true tale has been suggested by TikTok's @eccyreviews, who reviews films and series to ensure you always have something fresh to watch.
In his video, he stated: "Whatever you're planning on watching next, you need to make sure it's definitely this film. I just finished watching it on Netflix, it's a heart-breaking true story which genuinely left me in tears."
He introduces the film as Only The Brave, starring Josh Brolin, Miles Teller and Jeff Bridges. Despite its release in 2017, many are only now discovering it and learning about the team of firefighters who risked everything to protect their town from wildfires.
The film recounts the story of the Yarnell Hill Fire, near Yarnell, Arizona, sparked by dry lightning on June 28, 2013. The fire tragically claimed the lives of 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, a group of firefighters from the Prescott Fire Department.
One viewer rating the movie on IMDb said: "Only The Brave didn't do too well at the box office and didn't receive too much press for award season, so it turned out to be not much of a success in both categories.
"However as a film, this is quite quality and overlooked. Based a a true story, with intriguing characters and an intriguing plot, there is a real pull within its story."
One viewer was profoundly surprised by the depth of the true story behind the film: "Not everybody has heard the true story this movie is based on. I went into this movie only based on what I saw in the trailer."
They continued, admitting they were caught off-guard: "Since it's nonfiction, I knew it wouldn't be your typical cookie-cutter type narrative, but I still expected it, and was blown away by the tragic events, and the extraordinary way it was presented on screen."
Another chimed in with a personal connection: "Having fought wild land fires in Bastrop, TX and being in similar situations as this movie depicted, it was definitely personally emotional."
Their experience at the cinema was intense: "I laughed, I cried, but at the end I but walked out speechless... The last 45 minutes of this film had me on the edge of my seat."
They noted the impact of the character development: "The way all the characters have a special personal touch to them makes this film all more special! I wont spoil the movie, but bring a tissue box, the ending had me in all the feels!".
Finally, one viewer admitted to being unexpectedly moved: "As a grown man, I didn't expect a movie to hit me as hard as this did. This true story, which I had no prior knowledge of, absolutely tore at my emotions."
They praised the production quality extensively: "The film is a masterclass in storytelling, featuring an impeccable score, breathtaking cinematography, and performances that are nothing short of outstanding. It left me in need of a comforting hug, the kind that can make you feel like you're about to cough up your own Adam's apple."

I took a risk and ordered a storage shed on Shein, it was £600 less than others but there is one major flaw
Read on for UK regulations on sheds SHED YOU? I took a risk and ordered a storage shed on Shein, it was £600 less than others but there is one major flaw MOST of us have ordered clothes and accessories from Shein before. But many will be shocked to know that you can buy large furniture, including beds and even sheds. Advertisement 2 Angelica found a storage shed on Shein for a budget-friendly price Credit: tiktok/@angelica_torresramos 2 Can you spot the flaw? Credit: tiktok/@angelica_torresramos A woman called Angelica took to social media and showed off the massive shed she had bought from the online retailer. The 12x10ft metal storage shed looked perfect in the pictures, so she decided to take the risk and get it shipped to her house. It cost her just £471, and she revealed it was a lot less than other sheds she had looked at. In the clip, Angelica said: "We bought a storage house from Shein and this is what we got." Advertisement The giant container came to her in three boxes and she admitted some were damaged. "It came with a little surprise," she added as she moved one of the boxes to unveil a huge spider. Ignoring the critter, she went on to unpack the rest of the boxes and was pleasantly surprised to see nothing was missing. Angelica then went on to build the shed and was pleased to see it all come together. Advertisement "Base ready. Walls ready. Roof ready. Doors ready," she added. "I actually liked it." I'm a single mum sick of soft play costs so turned my shed into a mini one The shed was so roomy many suggested it could be used as a studio house. But others noticed there was a major flaw with the building. Advertisement The clip went viral with over 8 million views on her TikTok account @angelica_torresramos, and many realised the shed came without any type of flooring. One person wrote: "What about the floor? Everything is going to get wet when it rains." Do I need planning permission to convert my shed? CONVERTING an existing shed or outbuilding into a self-contained living space will usually require you apply for planning permission. However, there is a "loophole" Brits can use to convert outbuildings into a tiny home without permission. Planning expert Martin Gaine from Just Planning warned the conversion process is far easier than you may think. Speaking to The Sun, the Chartered Town Planner of 14 years' experience explained: "An outbuilding can be built using 'permitted development rights', meaning it does not need planning permission. "As long as you comply with the various restrictions and conditions." One of these is that the outbuilding can only be used for something 'ancillary' to your main living accommodation - examples include storage, a gym or a pool room. If the outbuilding is existing, converting it then into primary living accommodation IS allowed. Martin explained: "This is because internal changes to an existing building are not considered to be development at all under the Town and Country Planning Act. But like anything, there is one catch. The new living accommodation must still have some connection with your use of the main house. For instance, if your gran is living out there, she must still come into the house to eat. Another commented: 'No floor?" "Ooooh that's a studio apartment," penned a third. Advertisement Meanwhile a fourth said: "THIS IS A WHOLE HOUSE NOT A STORAGE SHED." "It looks good!' claimed a fifth. Someone else added: 'Looks cute, but it looks like it'll break down with wind lol."

Scarlett Johansson resembles Marilyn Monroe in first images from 'gritty' Russian mafia movie... see her look
Scarlett Johansson has been seen for the first time in character for her next film Paper Tiger. The 40-year-old movie star was shooting a scene outside a residential home in New York City where she looked distressed and near tears. The Hollywood pinup had on a short, curly blonde wig with heavy makeup that included red lipstick which made her resemble 1950s sex symbol Marilyn Monroe. Her clothes were conservative as she wore a powder blue knit top, an ivory linen blazer and dark khaki slacks with brown open-toe high heels. There was a beige purse over her shoulder as she had on gold earrings and a chain necklace. The versatile stalwart was seen getting into a cherry red sedan with yellow New York license plate. Also with her was Miles Teller, who likely plays her husband, and two young boys in private school uniforms. It is not known what character Scarlett plays in Paper Tiger but it appears she is a matriarch. Deadline described the film as 'tense and gritty.' There is also plenty of 'betrayal' as a family is torn apart. The plot revolves around two brothers who try to make a fast money. Instead they get 'entangled in a scheme that turns out to be too good to be true.' The film's synopsis reads: 'As they try to navigate their way through an ever-more dangerous world of corruption and violence, they find themselves and their family brutally terrorized by the Russian 'Mafiya.' 'Their bond begins to fray, and betrayal — once utterly unthinkable — now becomes all too possible.' Also in the film is Star Wars veteran Adam Driver who last worked with Scarlett in Marriage Story. The director is James Gray. Anne Hathaway was supposed to star in the movie with Jeremy Strong but their schedules didn't work out. Marilyn Monroe seen in her heyday in the 1950s when working for 20th Century Fox The film will be produced by Rodrigo Teixeira under his RT Features banner and frequent collaborator Anthony Katagas under AK Productions alongside Raffaella Leone, Gary Farkas, Marco Perego, Carlo Salem, and Andrea Bucko. Executive producers include Lee Broda, Jeff Rice, Riccardo Maddalosso and Emily Salveson. Johansson is best known for Jojo Rabbit, Her, Lost in Translation, as well as the The Avengers, Sing, and Captain America franchises and more. She will next star in Wes Anderson's The Phoenician Scheme and will make her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great. Teller known for hits including Top Gun: Maverick, Whiplash, and The Spectacular Now. He recently starred in The Gorge for Apple TV+ and wrapped production on Michael Jackson biopic Michael and Eternity, in which he stars opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Callum Turner. He will next star in Greg Kwedar's fantastical comedy Possum Song and Paul Downs Colaizzo's Winter Games for Paramount Pictures. Teller also seemed to wearing a wig as he had on prescription glasses This comes after Johansson said she found directing to be a 'really rewarding' experience. The star made her directorial debut with Eleanor the Great, the new drama movie starring June Squibb in the title role, and Scarlett has revealed that she loved the challenge of working behind the camera. The Hollywood star told Extra: 'I have a different perspective on just the process of, you know, pre-production and then what goes on after we all leave. I think, as an actor, you're hoping that the director sees kind of what you were doing and follows, you know, pulls the right thread and all of that stuff, but you don't know. 'You have no, kind of, control over it and now, you know, having experienced the other side of it, it just gives you, I think, an interesting insight into how people, other directors make their choices and the process that they go through to, you know, make it all happen. It's a lot of work, but it can be really rewarding.' Scarlett recently premiered the movie at the Cannes Film Festival, and she relished walking the red carpet with Erin Kellyman and June Squibb. Despite this, Scarlett recently revealed that she's 'not sure' whether to focus her attention on directing or acting. The film star doesn't yet know whether her long-term future is in front, or behind, the camera. Asked if the film marks a new beginning for her, Scarlett told Collider: 'I don't know. I'm not sure. I guess we'll see. 'My intention is to work on projects I would go and see, whether they're like 'Jurassic World' or this film. The commerciality of things is also important to me, too. Would audiences want to see this, too? Is this generally interesting? Those are things I look for and focus on and care about. So, we'll see, I guess.' Scarlett - who is one of the best-paid actresses in Hollywood - insisted that she has no intention of retiring from acting.
