One player on the Eagles roster bubble at each offensive position following minicamp
Philadelphia had one of the lightest off-season workloads following a Super Bowl 59 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February. The Eagles had six OTA sessions over their nine-week workout program and finished the spring and early summer off with a one-day mandatory mini-camp with perfect attendance from all 90 players on the roster.
Philadelphia is loaded at several key positions on offense, but reserve roles and tight end offer the most intense competitions. With the team on a five-week break until training camp, we're looking at one player on the roster bubble at each offensive position.
QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson
The Eagles acquired the former UCLA star in a trade that sent Kenny Pickett to Cleveland. Thompson-Robinson offered elite athleticism at the position when analyzing the move. Fast-forward a few weeks, and Philadelphia drafted former Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord in the sixth round. The former St. Joe's Prep star displayed a strong arm during the OTAs and clearly leapfrogged Thompson-Robinson on the depth chart. Philadelphia will carry four quarterbacks throughout the summer, but Roseman drafted McCord, and he fits what the Eagles do with the deep ball.
RB Lew Nichols
Philadelphia will enter training camp with seven running backs on the depth chart after adding two talented undrafted free agents at the position, and they are stacked in the top three of the depth chart. Nichols spent time with Philadelphia during Training Camp and the preseason in 2024 and returned to the practice squad following the regular season with a reserve/futures deal. Nichols (5-10, 220 pounds) rushed for 3,061 yards, added 575 receiving yards, and scored 29 total touchdowns in 32 games at Central Michigan. He was the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year in 2021, but looks to be one of four ball carriers who could be released.
WR Elijah Cooks
Philadelphia has 12 players on the roster at the wide receiver position, and Cooks initially finds himself behind two top-ten players, two 2024 draft picks, Jahan Dotson and Terrace Marshall. Add in Danny Gray having a strong off-season, and it's an uphill battle for Cooks, Giles Jackson, Taylor Morin, and Darius Cooper. Cooks signed with the Eagles' practice squad on Jan. 14 after spending most of the 2024 season on the Jaguars' practice squad. The 26-year-old wideout will be on Philadelphia's 90-man roster for the start of the new league year, which allowed him to participate in OTAs, minicamps, and training camps.
TE Nick Muse
With Dallas Goedert officially returning, an intriguing training camp battle is down to the third spot on the depth chart. Grant Calcaterra is the clear No. 2 guy, while Muse, Cameron Latu, E.J. Jenkins, Kylen Granson, and Harrison Bryant will compete for the third spot. Muse did not see any game action with the Eagles last postseason after being signed to the practice squad on Jan. 22.
OL Brett Toth
Philadelphia added three offensive linemen in the NFL draft and has been stocking up on depth pieces like Kendall Lamm and Matt Pryor all offseason. Laekin Vakalahi will make the team as the International Pathway representative, leaving the veteran Toth to battle with veterans Darian Kinnard, second-year player Trevor Keegan, and undrafted rookie Marcus Tate.

Did Dillon Gabriel throw shade at Shedeur Sanders?
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel gave a very curious quote during his preseason debut on Saturday in Philadelphia against the Eagles. While talking with a sideline reporter, Gabriel said that "there's entertainers and competitors... and my job is to compete." As soon as Gabriel said that, folks wondered if he was throwing shade at fellow rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who has embraced his celebrity status over the years. The most likely answer to this was always no, as Gabriel clearly isn't careless enough to throw his teammate under the bus on live television. Not even a rookie should make that kind of mistake. After the game, Gabriel affirmed the obvious that he wasn't talking about Sanders at all, more so prioritizing his NFL career and role as a quarterback over having a presence in the media. That makes much more sense. However, that explanation and the context around it won't stop folks from thinking Gabriel got in a subtle diss at Sanders. It's not the case, but the internet will likely run with it anyhow. Who has won the Cleveland quarterback battle? There is no winner just yet, but veteran quarterback Joe Flacco is atop the depth chart. This article originally appeared on For The Win: Did Dillon Gabriel throw shade at Shedeur Sanders?

WATCH: Dolphins rookie puts preseason game on ice with ridiculous interception vs. Lions
Undrafted rookie cornerback Ethan Robinson's chances at making the Miami Dolphins' 53-man roster are pretty minimal, but he has a decent shot at earning a spot on SportsCenter's "Top 10" on Saturday night. With the Detroit Lions driving down the field in the final minutes of a preseason game, the Dolphins needed a red zone stop to preserve their 24-17 lead. That's when Robinson abruptly put the game to bed with a ridiculously athletic interception on a blitz off the edge. Robinson, 22, spent three seasons with the Bucknell Bison before finishing his collegiate career with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. While his only season in the Big Ten wasn't enough to earn him a spot at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine or have his name called at the 2025 NFL draft, he received a contract due to his abundance of athleticism. At the Minnesota Pro Day, Robinson recorded an outrageous 42-inch vertical jump that would've finished second among all combine participants behind only Seattle Seahawks second-round pick Nick Emmanwori. Robinson's pretty buried on the Dolphins depth chart, but the raw ability showcased in his game-sealing interception makes a pretty strong case for developing the rookie on the practice squad.

Holt is the highest-ranking Auburn target on the list. The small forward is ranked No. 6. According to Biancardi, Holt uses speed and quickness on both sides of the court. He is a more skilled defensive player but is improving on offense. Holt is rated as the top player in Florida and the No. 6 player nationally according to 247Sports. Thompson, another small forward, comes in at No. 17 in the ranking. ESPN projects him at No. 13 in their 2026 ESPN 100 ranking. Thompson is ranked at No. 10 by 247Sports and the No. 1 player in Ohio. His height is 6-8 but his wingspan is much longer. With his shooting ability from the three-point line he could draw comparisons to Jabari Smith.
