Maya Jama is 'getting serious' with footballer boyfriend Ruben Dias as they 'plan next step in their romance'

Daily Mail29-07-2025
Maya Jama and Ruben Dias are said to be taking the next step in their relationship as things are getting serious between the couple.
The Love Island presenter, 30, and the Manchester City footballer, 28, have been dating for several months and have enjoyed numerous romantic holidays together.
Now, it has been claimed that the couple are getting serious with Maya eyeing up splitting her time between London and Manchester to spend more time with Ruben.
Ruben's commitment to Maya early on in their romance reportedly secured things for the couple and they are even said to be looking at moving in together.
A source told The Sun: 'Ruben made sure from the start that his intentions with Maya were clear, he knows he's struck gold and wants to make sure Maya knows how seriously he feels about her.
'Being honest and open about what he wants from their future was the secret weapon in securing a future with Maya.
'Maya's work, home and friends are in London so she doesn't want to leave there entirely, but is considering going between there and Manchester.'
Maya is currently busy splitting her time between Mallorca and London as she hosts live from the Love Island villa and presents spin-off chat show Aftersun.
Daily Mail has contacted Ruben's representatives. Maya's representatives declined to comment.
Amid her busy Love Island filming schedule, Maya and Ruben have still found to enjoy some sun-soaked trips and recently jetted off to Ibiza together.
Maya shared an array of loved-up snaps of the pair of them as she documented their budding romance after going Instagram official in May.
Every inch the supportive girlfriend, the TV host has been seen at multiple football games over the last few months to watch Ruben live in action for Man City.
Footage of the pair last month showed them with their arms around each other before he leant into her neck for a peck.
Ruben tried to fly under the radar and keep a low profile as he stepped out in casual clothes and a cap.
A source told The Sun: 'Maya and Ruben seemed very close, very loved up and were clearly very comfortable with each other.
'They were chatting to others around them but gravitated back to each other. They seem very happy with each other.'
It was the first time they were seen in public since they were thought to have started dating - though Maya had hinted at the romance by sharing snaps of flowers she was sent.
They were first linked in November of last year, four months after Maya and Stormzy had announced their split.
The exes confirmed the break-up was 'final' after previously going their separate ways following a five-year relationship in 2019, before reconnecting in August 2023.
They shared in a statement after their second split: 'We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019, and then spent five years manoeuvring life apart.
'We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we've spent this past year trying our best to make it work. However, we recently decided to call it quits.'

Wembley Stadium investigating alleged ticket scam at Oasis gig

The Mancunian rockers recently played a series of dates at the iconic venue as part of their Live 25 tour. According to The Sun, up to 200 people were asked for £350 each to be sneaked into one of the gigs via a disabled entrance. Two concertgoers told the paper a large group was able to use a copy of the same ticket to get into the stadium, where they were then handed wristbands giving them access to the VIP area at the front of the stage. They said two women who allegedly orchestrated the scam told them they had 'ten groups of 20' waiting. One of the concertgoers told The Sun: 'We were given our tickets, which were all the same, and a woman drew a shape on our hands. 'We were told to go to the disabled door at entrance M, even though our tickets said entrance F. 'We showed our stamped hands to the person on the door, they scanned the tickets, even though we all had the same one, and let us in. 'Another member of staff then handed us a golden circle wristband and that was it. There were zero security searches. We just walked straight in.' A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said in a statement: 'Entering Wembley Stadium without a ticket is a serious offence and we are investigating these allegations. 'If they are substantiated, we will refer our evidence to the police.' Oasis' run of concerts at Wembley between July 25 and August 3 was the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during the Dig Out Your Soul tour. The band are playing at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium this weekend, followed by Dublin's Croke Park. The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August last year, 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009, which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
