Wembley Stadium investigating alleged ticket scam at Oasis gig

The Mancunian rockers recently played a series of dates at the iconic venue as part of their Live 25 tour.
According to The Sun, up to 200 people were asked for £350 each to be sneaked into one of the gigs via a disabled entrance.
Two concertgoers told the paper a large group was able to use a copy of the same ticket to get into the stadium, where they were then handed wristbands giving them access to the VIP area at the front of the stage.
They said two women who allegedly orchestrated the scam told them they had 'ten groups of 20' waiting.
One of the concertgoers told The Sun: 'We were given our tickets, which were all the same, and a woman drew a shape on our hands.
'We were told to go to the disabled door at entrance M, even though our tickets said entrance F.
'We showed our stamped hands to the person on the door, they scanned the tickets, even though we all had the same one, and let us in.
'Another member of staff then handed us a golden circle wristband and that was it. There were zero security searches. We just walked straight in.'
A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said in a statement: 'Entering Wembley Stadium without a ticket is a serious offence and we are investigating these allegations.
'If they are substantiated, we will refer our evidence to the police.'
Oasis' run of concerts at Wembley between July 25 and August 3 was the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during the Dig Out Your Soul tour.
The band are playing at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium this weekend, followed by Dublin's Croke Park.
The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year.
Oasis announced their reunion tour in August last year, 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009, which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Kate Garraway thanks 'gallant stranger' for selfless act as she enjoys Oasis gig

Kate Garraway took her children to see Oasis last week and says she had a wonderful time reliving her youth, and thanked the stranger for lifting her up onto his shoulders Former Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway relived her youth at Oasis' Wembley Stadium gig as she was spotted in the crowd enjoying the show from a strangers shoulders. ‌ The brothers announced their comeback tour in August 2024, with them sharing the news on social media and saying: 'This is it, this is happening. The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.' ‌ This tour is the first time Liam and Noel have performed together in 15 years, following their highly-publicised fall-out which led to them icing each other out of their lives. Tickets have been selling out within minutes and thousands of fans have been descending on each city to see the much-loved duo. It comes after reports of Victoria Beckham's four-word comment to Geri Horner amid Spice Girls 'feud'. ‌ ‌ Kate, 58, took her children to the Wembley Stadium gig last week and it seems she had a wonderful time reliving her youth. She danced the night away but took things a step further and decided to watch the brothers' epic performance in London from the height of a stranger's shoulders. In an Instagram post Kate thanked the "gallant stranger" for lifting her up onto his shoulders. Sharing an Instagram post to mark the occasion she even posed for a selfie with him. She captioned the post: "For all those catching the @oasis lads #murrayfield tonight you are in for the time of your life . This was us last week at Wembley - loving every second of it . Special mention has to go to the gallant stranger ( bottom right) who hauled me onto his shoulders for #champagnesupernova to relive my 20's at #knebworth 96. I can only assume he didn't realise a) I'm heavier than I look & b) how long that song actually is !!! Do hope he's not spent all week at the chiropractor but eternally grateful!" ‌ One follower commented: "It is so lovely to see you enjoying life and smiling again enjoy every moment you deserve it," another wrote: "Go on Girl!! Hope you had a supersonic time!!!!" A third wrote: "ou and your family deserve to be happy and enjoying through all you have been through." ‌ Some fans compared the man to Gareth Southgate, one wrote: "Haha! Looks like Sir Gareth Southgate had you on his shoulders," another said: "He could be Gareth Southgate's long lost brother." Oasis will continue their shows in Edinburgh on Tuesday (12 August) before heading to Ireland to play two shows at Croke Park in Dublin on 16 and 17 August. Liam and Noel, 58, will then travel to Canada and America for shows in Toronto, Chicago, LA and Mexico City before coming back to London for two more big gigs at Wembley towards the end of September. The brothers will follow up their action-packed schedule with Asia, Australia and South America before ending their comeback tour on 23 November in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Liam Gallagher shows support for brother Paul after he was charged with rape and 'offers him a bed in his £4million mansion and a seat on his private jet

Liam Gallagher has shown the strength of his brotherly bond by opening his £4million home to his rape-accused sibling just weeks before his court appearance. Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Noel and Liam, has also been seen boarding a £3.5million private jet and flying off with his singer sibling to the band's recent gig in Edinburgh. The DJ, who lives in East Finchley, north London, is facing a string of charges following an investigation that began last year. As well as rape, he is also accused of sexual assault, coercive control and making threats to kill. He is due to appear in court later this month. The offences are said to date from between 2022 and 2024 and relate to one woman. Paul, who at 59 is one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam, grew up with the pair in Burnage, Manchester. Photographs published by The Sun show Paul with Liam arriving at Luton airport, while another was taken of Paul outside the Oasis frontman's north London mansion on Friday. A source said it showed the musician wanted to show support for his older brother. 'Liam is supporting Paul through this. It says a lot about Liam. 'He has an incredibly hectic schedule at the moment because of the tour — but he wants to be there for his big brother.' While he has previously not been involved with Oasis, which is currently mid-way through its sold-out reunion tour, Paul Gallagher is listed on an official programme as the 'tour DJ'. The band are scheduled to play three more shows at Wembley before moving onto Edinburgh, Dublin and then further abroad. Paul lives in a flat that Noel bought in 2004 and has worked as a DJ and photographer. He has previously described himself as living a normal life 'amongst the lower middle classes'. Paul added that he tries to avoid public attention, preferring to stay 'invisible'. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police previously said: 'Paul Gallagher, 59, of East Finchley, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Paul lives in a flat that Noel bought in 2004 and has worked as a DJ and photographer. 'The offences are reported to have taken place between 2022-2024. The charges follow an investigation which commenced in 2024. 'A woman is being supported by specially trained officers.' Paul Gallagher will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 27. Oasis announced their highly anticipated reunion tour in August last year, after Noel quit in 2009 after a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. Before the recent string of concerts, the last time they played Wembley was on July 12, 2009, when they performed during their Dig Out Your Soul tour. The group kicked off their Oasis Live '25 world tour on July 4 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The group has also dominated the UK album charts, with three top five albums, according to the Official Charts Company. After their gig at Edinburgh on Tuesday and Dublin's Croke Park on August 17, Oasis will head off to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America.

Huge TV star 'signs six-month Good Morning Britain deal' as ITV prepares major shake-up

Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley has reportedly agreed to a short-term deal to stay on the ITV breakfast sofa as bosses prepare a cost-cutting overhaul. The veteran broadcaster, 69, has signed a six-month contract thought to begin in September, as part of a temporary arrangement while ITV reviews its presenter line-up. It comes ahead of a major reshuffle in January which is expected to see some familiar faces axed in a bid to save millions. A source told The Sun that Richard - one of the programme's best-known hosts - has not been offered a long-term commitment. They revealed: 'Richard is one of the biggest names on the show but even he hasn't been offered a long-term deal. 'He's signed for six more months and will then re-consider how the show looks. As things stand, almost every prominent face on the show is in talks. 'Some are going to go in the reshuffle, so it will depend on who rates well with focus groups and how much money each of them is insisting on.' It had previously been reported in May that Richard's position was under review before he reached a part-time agreement with bosses. The Daily Mail have contacted ITV and Richard Madeley's representatives for comment. ITV chiefs are said to be weighing presenter popularity in focus groups against salary demands as they decide who stays. Only lead anchor Susanna Reid, 54, is guaranteed a longer-term deal. Other regulars include Ed Balls, Robert Rinder and Kate Garraway, while Martin Lewis and other stand-ins rotate through the schedule. The shake-up comes as ITV embarks on a drastic restructure, with plans to halve the daytime workforce at ITV Studios. Bosses are also set to trim other shows, with Lorraine to be cut to just 30 minutes and broadcast for only 30 weeks a year. Only lead anchor Susanna Reid, 54, (pictured right) is guaranteed a longer-term deal The new regime, set to come into effect in January, will cost a potential 300 staff members their jobs as a consultation period begins, thought to last until September, before employees are finally let go in December. A source told The Sun: 'The tension is unbearable. There's a lot of rage towards This Morning, which everyone feels is constantly favoured despite it being the lame duck of the daytime flock. 'There's a feeling that Loose Women and Lorraine are delivering resilient, solid ratings while This Morning is always in the Press for its tumbling viewing figures. Loose Women is even winning awards. 'Never mind the Phillip Schofield scandal and then Holly Willoughby leaving, This Morning is like the black sheep and yet that's the show that is not facing any cuts. 'Everyone is absolutely furious that This Morning has got away with it yet again.' A source added that some of the older members of the ITV presenting teams are worried that bosses will favour younger stars for the roles that are left. Daily Mail contacted ITV for comment at the time. The changes
