When did Oasis break up? Following rumoured tensions between the brothers, Oasis officially announced their split back in August 2009, as reported by Radio X. It came after Liam and Noel cancelled their scheduled appearance at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris. Recommended reading: Soon after, Noel released a statement which said: 'It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. 'People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.' Are you going to see Oasis live on tour? Richard Ashcroft announces huge tour update after 'nearly outshining Oasis'
Liam Gallagher said it was never a question that Richard Ashcroft would be joining them on tour after their shared history After embarking upon the biggest stadium tour of the year as special guest to Oasis, and selling out Manchester's Co-op Live, Richard Ashcroft today announces additional UK dates due to overwhelming demand. Richard will perform at arenas in Cardiff, Liverpool, London and Leeds in Spring 2026, with tickets on sale at 9.30am on Friday 1st August. The announcement follows the news of the October 3rd release date of his brand new album Lovin' You - his first all-new album since 2018's Natural Rebel and follows 2021's Acoustic Hymns, Vol. 1. Speaking on Radio 2 earlier this month Richard Ashcroft said: 'The album's due in September, just after I finish the dates with Oasis. That'll be coming out in September, and yeah, happy days, we'll see how it goes. I'm buzzing that I'm still here. I'm still making music, people pay me to make music, people pay me to sing live. It's like I can't complain.' Ashcroft has won huge praise from fans after being picked to join Oasis on their huge sell-out Live 25 tour. Speaking after seeing the band play at Wembley Stadium, David Baddiel said the former Verve frontman gave the Gallaghers a run for their money when it came to entertaining the crowd. Noel has even been spotted watching Ashcroft's sets before walking on stage himself. "Oasis were great tonight. But they were nearly outshone by their support, Richard Ashcroft, in incredible voice: still the Scott Walker of Britpop," Baddiel posted to X. "Don't think Richard has ever done a bad show," replied one of his followers. "Magnificent," agreed another, while a third said: "It's the absolute dream lineup. Chris Martin said Richard Ashcroft had the best voice going around. Richard Ashcroft and Oasis playing in 2025. It's what the world needs some GOOD THINGS! I can't wait to see them in Australia. Magic. How special to be at Wembley. Brilliant." Responding to Baddiel's video of Ashcroft singing The Drug's Don't Work, another X user replied: "This was a real moment in Manchester too. Something about that song still felt fresh / in the room as it were. The Oasis tunes being great, but definitely a stronger nostalgic tinge to them." Richard Ashcroft and Oasis share a mutual admiration which dates back to touring together before Oasis first broke through. Richard is performing as special guest on all of their UK shows alongside band Cast. Oasis fans disagree over Wembley and Heaton Park gigs comparison as Liam Gallagher delivers three-word verdict
Liam Gallagher gave a three-word assessment of the crowd at Oasis' first gig at Wembley Stadium last night (July 25). The band are to play a total of seven nights in the capital between now and September as part of their Live '25 reunion tour. They'll play Friday, July 25 followed by further dates on Saturday, July 26, Wednesday, July 30, Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3. READ MORE: Britain's Got Talent judge quits panel as huge star 'in talks' to take over READ MORE: Hollywood director spotted behind monitors at final Billie Eilish gig in Manchester There will then be an eight-week gap which will see Oasis perform dates in Edinburgh and Dublin, and abroad, before they return for their two final dates at Wembley on Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. Playing to a sold-out crowd, clips of around 81,000 people bouncing to Cigarettes and Alcohol have already begun to go viral on social media. Liam praised the crowd's energy, saying they had been 'loud as f***'. Introducing Champagne Supernova, which is the final song of the show, he addressed the crowd: 'Right then London you f***ing mad-heads. "You've been amazing, man. Loud as f***. "Nice one for making this happen, it's good to be f***ing back." Comparisons have already begun between the crowds at Wembley and Heaton Park, where the brothers completed a string of five nights last Monday (July 20). "Definitely better than Heaton [Park]", wrote one user under a video of the crowd posted by Wembley's TikTok account. "It's definitely not", came the quick reply from another user. Announced last August, two days before the 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe, the reunion tour was the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland. An estimated 630,000 people will watch them at Wembley before the tour heads to North America in the autumn. It had been Manchester United fans in the firing line at Heaton Park - but even fans at Wembley couldn't escape some teasing from Liam about their favourite football team. "Don't be booing Arsenal fans," he told the crowd as he instructed them to do the Poznan bounce. "Just because you're not top of the league. It isn't our f***ing problem." The band also paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, projecting a huge portrait of the singer onto the big screen before launching into Rock N Roll Star, which they dedicated to Osbourne.

Everything you need to know about Oasis in Croke Park
Oasis are set to bring their reunion tour to Ireland with two huge gigs at Dublin's Croke Park in August - find out everything you need to know about the highly-anticipated gigs here. After bust-ups, smash hits and break-ups, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have finally put their differences aside and taken to the road for their first gigs in over 16 years, kicking off their Live 25 tour with two triumphant gigs at Cardiff's Principality Stadium at the start of July. Former members of the group have also made a return with Andy Bell on bass, Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on guitars and renowned drummer Joey Waronker behind the kit. The Manchester rockers last played in Ireland in 2009 when they headlined Slane Castle, performing to over 80,000 fans, so excitement levels are through the roof for Irish fans of the iconic Britpop band. Find out the important details of Oasis' Croke Park gigs below. When and where Oasis bring their highly-anticipated Live 25 tour to Croke Park on Jones' Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 3, on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025. Getting there Croke Park is within easy reach of the city centre and Dublin Airport and is well serviced by transport links. Walking/Cycling The stadium is just a 30 minute walk or 10 minute cycle from O'Connell Street in the city centre. Driving Increased traffic volumes and local road closures lead to significant delays on concert days. The roads surrounding the stadium are residential and car parking is limited, with restrictions in place. Organisers advise concert goers to use public transport. Bus A large number of Dublin Bus routes bring you close to Croke Park and others will get you to the city centre which is within walking distance. Bus Routes that serve Croke Park 1, 6, 7(a), 11, 13, 15, 16, 27(a/b), 33, 40(b/d/e), 41(b/c/d), 42, 43, 44, 53a, 122, 123, 130, H1, H2, H3. Full details at Train/Dart/Luas The closest railway station is Drumcondra at the intersection of Drumcondra Road (N1) and Clonliffe Road, a five-minute walk from the stadium. The closest Dart stations are Connolly and Clontarf which are both less than half an hour's walk from the stadium. The closest Luas stop is also at Connolly Station on the Red Line. The Parnell and Marlborough Green Line Luas stops are also close by. Approach Routes BLUE ROUTE (Hogan Stand): Enter via Jones Road and Russell Street. RED ROUTE (Cusack Stand): Enter via St James Avenue and Foster Terrace. YELLOW ROUTE (Davin Stand): Enter via St Margaret's Terrace. GREEN ROUTE (PITCH A): Enter via Josephs Avenue. RED ROUTE (PITCH B & C): Enter via St James Avenue and Foster Terrace. Opening time of the venue Admission begins at 5pm. Strictly no early queuing or camping permitted. Stage times will be released closer to the concert dates. Can I still buy tickets? Unfortunately not! The tickets have long been snapped up for these gigs following a dynamic pricing furore. Fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster for official resale tickets and see if they get lucky. What to expect Expect to hear over 80,000 rabid Irish Oasis fans screaming at the top of their lungs along to the band's sizeable back-catalogue of hits! By all accounts, Liam and Noel are on top form for the reunion tour. Following a triumphant return to the stage in Cardiff on 4 July, they went on to play emotionally charged, hit-laden sets when they kicked off a five-date homecoming run in Manchester on 11 July. They'll play five nights at London's Wembley Stadium and three at Edinburgh's Murrayfield so the lads are sure to be primed and ready for their two-nighter at Croke Park in August. We imagine the Dublin leg of the tour will carry extra significance for the Gallagher brothers due to their deep ties to Ireland - their parents Peggy and Thomas are both Irish and they consider it a strong part of their identity. Setlist Setlists are always subject to change, but here's the one from their Heaton Park, Manchester gig on 12 July.
