GTA 6 and your PC: What to upgrade and how to save money
Source: Rockstar Games
GTA 6 is coming, and gamers are ticking down to release. But with Rockstar's next-gen graphics and enormous open world, there's one elephant in the room: can your PC cope? If you're not playing on a console, now's the time to assess your rig.
But don't worry, this article will dissect the exact hardware that you'll need to upgrade for GTA 6, and what components you can safely skip to save some pennies.
1. Upgrade: Graphics card (GPU)
The largest performance driver for GTA 6 will be your GPU. Rockstar's new Vice City is rumored to have ray tracing, heavy traffic, and dynamic weather, all GPU-heavy elements. If you're still rocking a GTX 10-series or older, you'll need to upgrade. An RTX 3060 or RX 6700 XT should provide smooth 1080p action, while an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT is where you want to be for high settings at 1440p or 4K.
2. Upgrade: Solid-state drive (SSD)
GTA 6 will probably need Direct Storage support in order to load enormous assets promptly, particularly while driving quickly or changing locations. If you still play the game on an HDD, it's about time you upgrade. A NVMe SSD will not only satisfy anticipated needs but also provide you with blindingly fast load times for all games.
3. Save: Your power supply (if it's recent)
Concerned about having to buy a new PSU? You may not have to. The vast majority of contemporary power supplies (particularly 650W+ from reputable manufacturers) are more than sufficient for current CPUs and GPUs.

Provided you're upgrading from a low-end PC to a high-end GPU, your PSU may be perfectly adequate.
4. Save: Your CPU (if it's mid-tier and recent)
GTA 6 will be helped by a decent CPU, but you don't require the new i9 or Ryzen 9. If you possess something in the line of an i5-10600K or a Ryzen 5 3600, you might just about manage. CPU bottlenecks are less important than GPU bottlenecks for this game, at least at 1080p.
5. Upgrade (Optional): RAM
While 16 GB RAM can be expected as the bare minimum, 32 GB is advisable for more fluid multitasking and asset streaming.
Dual-channel RAM is a requirement. It is a fairly affordable and straightforward upgrade that can enhance overall system responsiveness.
GTA 6 looks to be Rockstar's most ambitious game ever, but you don't need to replace your entire PC to play it. Prioritize upgrading your GPU and storage first and only think about other upgrades if your system is really ancient. A few wise decisions now will make your wallet smile and your system ready for launch day.

What if GTA 6 never ends? How a Fortnite-style ecosystem could change everything
Source: Rockstar Games Rockstar Games could be working on something much more ambitious than merely another sequel with GTA 6. Based on far-reaching speculation and insider rumors, GTA 6 could adopt a live-service model like Fortnite, with the game constantly evolving rather than getting a conventional follow-up. This could redefine how gamers experience the Grand Theft Auto franchise, maybe permanently. GTA 6 can be Rockstar's forever game Leaks and developer teasers indicate that GTA 6 could turn into a regularly updated platform instead of a game with a clear-cut ending. Similar to Fortnite, the concept is to build an in-game universe where fresh narratives, cities, and events are added on top of a single game world over time. This "one game, infinite updates" approach would enable Rockstar to add content without releasing a brand-new title like GTA 7. This might translate to the players experiencing seasonal content updates, time-sensitive missions, dynamic map shifts, and character developments that change month after month or year after year. The core city, alleged to be a contemporary Vice City, may be the center, and other areas and timelines be supplemented through live events or DLCs. Rockstar's shift towards persistent online worlds, as evidenced through GTA Online, aligns with the notion that GTA 6 is going to be more of a long-term platform than a single SKU release. How a live-service model might transform GTA A Fortnite-style model would fundamentally change player involvement. On the one hand, players would be able to have continuous fresh content, changing storylines, and endless updates that refresh the game perpetually. Rockstar would also be able to implement real-time global events, crossovers with other IPs, and even seasonal mini-games or story packs, without ever releasing a new game. But at a cost. The live-service model might result in monetization fatigue, with battle passes and character purchases dominating the headlines. Fans of traditional single-player experiences will feel disenfranchised if narrative material becomes drip-fed or bound to online patching. And without a proper "ending," the game will lack the succinct narrative beats that made previous games great. If Rockstar makes GTA 6 a forever game, it may be the most radical change in the series' history. While it allows for infinite content and changing gameplay, it also threatens to move too far from what made Grand Theft Auto a single-player staple. Only time will let us know if this risk pays off. Avaada Butibori plant is India's 1st to make 720Wp solar modules
Nagpur: Avaada Electro, which is building a solar power equipment plant at Butibori, has claimed to be the first to manufacture large-sized 720 Watt peak (Wp) TOPcon solar modules in the country. The plant at Butibori near Nagpur is expected to emerge as the country's largest solar modules and cells manufacturing facility. Avaada's projects in the state entail an investment of Rs13,000 crore, most of which is for the Butibori plant. The company has now begun manufacturing 720Wp modules at Butibori. It is currently importing the cells, which are a key component for making modules, from China. However, there are plans to operationalise the cell-making unit also by October. This will enable fully indigenous manufacturing of solar modules, doing away with dependence on China, said company officials. Even China started making 720Wp capacity modules less than a year ago. Avaada is expected to be second globally after China, said a source. Avaada Electro had performed the groundbreaking ceremony for its Butibori plant last October. Modules are the equipment that generate solar power. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo They are made of numerous solar cells. So far, modules made in India have smaller 182x183mm M10 cells which can generate 595Wp solar power. Avaada has begun manufacturing modules made of 220x220mm G12 cells. The modules have the capacity to generate as much as 720Wp power, explained a company official. The manufacturing of the first phase with a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts (GW) has started at Butibori . By July, the full capacity of making modules with a combined capacity of 7GW is expected to be reached. Modules made through the G12 cells can generate more solar power in less area due to the cell's size. Solar module installations occupy a sizeable area, said the source. Similarly, the company has also commercially launched the 630Wp solar modules. The Butibori plant has also been included in the ministry of renewable energy's (MRE) approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM). This will ensure Avaada's eligibility for taking part in the govt tenders. The Butibori unit has already started supplying solar panels for the state govt's Mukhya Mantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana -- the state govt project for supplying solar power to farmers. According to company chairman Vineet Mittal with ALMM accreditation of the Butibori plant and the launch of 720Wp and 630Wp cells, the company hopes to achieve a major revolution in the sector. With Butibori emerging as a prime destination for solar energy equipment makers, Avaada is the first to start production. Other companies like Jindal Group and Waaree Energies also have similar plans for Nagpur.
