The actor recently stepped out in the city to attend an event, where the paparazzi asked him the secret behind his remarkable weight loss.
Dilip Joshi, known for his iconic character Jethalal in the popular comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been making waves on the internet with his significant weight loss journey. Reports suggest he lost 16 kg in 45 days- all without hitting the gym or following a strict diet.
Now, during a recent appearance, the actor has finally opened up about his fitness routine, which is now getting viral on social media.
What does he have to say?
The actor recently stepped out in the city to attend an event, where the paparazzi asked him the secret behind his remarkable weight loss. He laughed and responded to the buzz on social media.
Dilip said, 'Areey, 1992 mein kiya tha bhai, abhi pata nahi kissi ne social media pe chala diya yaar (Oh, it was in 1992, brother. I'm not sure who posted it on social media now)." Following that, photographers informed him that the image was currently trending on social media. Dilip, on the other hand, smiled and thanked them before entering the venue.
Dilip previously told Mashable India about his weight loss journey, revealing that he shed 16 kg in just one and a half months with regular running. In the 1990s, he was rehearsing for a role in the Gujarati film Hun Hunshi Hunshilal.
He used to run every day after work while working a typical office job. 'I used to change at the swimming club and jog down Marine Drive to the Oberoi Hotel, even in the rain, and back. The entire run would take about 45 minutes," he explained. This basic yet efficient regimen helped him meet his fitness objectives.
Coming back to his work front, Dilip has been a part of a number of Bollywood films including Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, One 2 Ka 4, Khiladi 420, Dil Hai Tumhaara and Dhoondte Reh Jaoge, among others.
He has been a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since its inception in 2008 and garnered much appreciation from the audience for his performance as Jethalal.

Anupam Kher ‘feels bad' when I criticise his films, wife Kirron Kher says she's ‘blunt' with her reactions: ‘I'm a dangerous woman to take to film trials'

Veteran actor Kirron Kher has never shied away from sharing her opinions, and she has always been quite candid about them. During a recent interaction, Kirron shared how she would bluntly tell her husband, veteran actor Anupam Kher, if she didn't like any of his films. She also spoke about the advice she gives her son, Sikandar, on not being as selective with his projects as she has been in her career. Speaking to CNN-News18, she said, 'I am not one of those people who appreciates family members just like that. I am rather blunt about that. My husband feels bad about it. He has done so many films. Some of them are good, some aren't, so I can't appreciate every film of his. I'm a dangerous woman to take to film trials because it is obvious when I don't like a film. It shows on my face.' Kirron then went on to admit that she didn't like Sikandar's performance in Tigmanshu Dhulia's film Milan Talkies. Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher got married on August 26, 1985. Sikandar is Kirron's son from her first marriage to Gautam Berry. After her divorce from Gautam, she married Anupam in 1985. The two never had children together. During a recent chat on Raj Shamani's podcast, Anupam shared that feels a 'void' for not having his own children. When asked for the reason behind the same, he shared that Kirron 'could not conceive.' 'Kirron could not conceive it and then once she conceived, she had to.. sort of… it was not growing in the right manner,' he said and added that he too, was busy with his career. 'I was too busy making it big. I was too busy aur Sikandar acha… acha hai Sikander mere liye (Sikander is still fine for me). He was 4 when he came into my life, when I married Kirron so I never felt anything missing,' he said.

Mohit Suri Called Uncle Mahesh Bhatt For Advice On Saiyaara: 'He Said Swear Words'

Mahesh Bhatt told Saiyaara director Mohit Suri to trust his instincts. Mohit Suri's latest film, Saiyaara, has become a sensation ever since its release last month. The film starred newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who have also become massive stars due to the film's success. As Saiyaara continues its box office run, Mohit Suri joined CNN-News18 for a Town Hall where he discussed love, loss and of course, Saiyaara. During his session, he recalled how he called his uncle, Mahesh Bhatt, for advice when he was confused about a certain scene in the film. Mohit's mother, Heena, is Mahesh Bhatt's sister, making him the filmmaker's nephew. Mohit has often worked under Mahesh's guidance, and when he was faced with doubt during the shoot of Saiyaara, he reached out to his uncle and mentor. Referring to the scene in Saiyaara where Ahaan Panday's father gets violent with him, Mohit Suri said, while he was staging the scene with the actors, he felt it had become too dramatic. Mohit Suri said, 'At 7 in the morning the next day, I was going to shoot the scene. I sent a missed call to Bhatt saab. He was up at 4 in the morning, and he called me up. I said, 'I am feeling a little unsure, they're very nice people. I think I'm being a little too dramatic.' He has no idea about my script." 'All I've told him is the scene where the son gets violent with his father, he's an alcoholic. Bhatt saab just cut me off. He said a couple of swear words to me; that's him. I didn't realise that my profile picture was of my son's hand in my hand. He just said that the way you're holding your son's hand in a close-up, the kind of emotion you feel towards your son, no matter how, go shoot this scene, it's never going to have a wrong emotional connect," Mohit recalled. Mohit Suri said that Mahesh Bhatt mentioned, 'The son-father bond is too pure for you. How can the same person who has a DP like this even ask me this question? Go shoot it the way you want." Mohit Suri listened paid heed to this advice and it turned out to be one of the scenes that Aditya Chopra loved most. Meanwhile, Saiyaara has struck an emotional chord with audiences across the globe. The film's Indian box office collection has crossed Rs 300 crore, while the global total now stands above Rs 500 crore. Alongside Ahaan and Aneet, the ensemble cast includes Alam Khan, Sid Makkar, Shaan Groverr, Rajesh Kumar, and Varun Badola.
