Stacey Solomon defended by friend after Bafta ‘bad loser' backlash
Stacey Solomon's close friend has come to her defence following a backlash over her emotional reaction to losing out on a Bafta at this year's Television Awards.
The Sort Your Life Out presenter, 35, let her frustrations show in a candid video after her BBC show was beaten in the Factual Entertainment category by Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour.
While Stacey congratulated the winners, she admitted feeling 'devastated' for her team, calling them 'robbed' of the award they had worked so hard for.
The clip sparked mixed reactions online, with some branding Stacey a 'bad loser' and telling the mum-of-five to 'get a grip.'
But her friend Emma Parr stepped in with a heartfelt Instagram tribute praising Stacey's dedication and unseen efforts.
Posting a photo of them together, Emma wrote: 'You gave it everything. That's what matters.
'No need for a title to prove what I already know — you're a winner in my eyes.' Love you @staceysolomon love you @sortyourlifeout.
'I saw the effort you put in. I saw the late nights, the early mornings, the quiet sacrifices no one else noticed. You carried yourself with strength, determination, and grace. And that means more than any title or trophy ever could.'
Stacey responded simply: 'Love u,' to which Emma replied, 'Ditto.'
In her now-viral video, Stacey admitted she wasn't taking the loss 'gracefully,' saying: 'We didn't win a BAFTA. And I know I'm supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I'm devastated!
'I'm not saying the other shows didn't deserve to win – they did – but I'm gutted for my whole Sort Your Life Out family. They deserved a BAFTA.'
She also explained what goes into making the transformation series, which helps families declutter and organise their homes: 'We'll pack up a house, move it into a warehouse, go through everything meticulously donating, recycling, reselling then move it all back with systems to help families move forward.'
Stacey also praised the families who appear on the show, calling them brave for opening up their homes to the cameras and public scrutiny.

Shameless star and Everton manager to be honoured at Windsor Castle
Bafta-winning Shameless actor Anne-Marie Duff and Everton manager David Moyes will be honoured by the Prince of Wales at a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. The pair will both be formally made Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to drama and Association Football respectively. They were named in the New Year Honours list.
