Noel Gallagher has offered a rare moment of public praise for his brother Liam, admitting he is proud of the way his younger sibling has carried their band on the world's biggest stages. Reflecting on their run of sold-out shows, Noel acknowledged that while he could never imagine himself fronting a band in the same way, Liam's ability to command stadium crowds has left him both impressed and moved. One half of the beloved Britpop band, Noel also revealed that his 'legs turned to jelly' as the band took to the stage for first in a long line of gigs in their comeback tour earlier this summer. Pic: Big Brother Recordings The longtime musician said that on the very first night in Cardiff's Principality Stadium, when they walked out to the deafening roar of thousands of fans, that he had 'grossly underestimated' what he was getting in to. First night nerves put to bed, after a rapturous reception from their legions of fans, the band went on to hold every single audience in the palm of their hands, as they played to sold-out gigs in the UK and then last weekend, in Dublin. Speaking to UK radio station 'Talksport' Noel said he was actually 'feeling a bit shaky' after himself and the lads wrapped up their two sold out nights in GAA HQ, and moving on to O'Donoghue's pub on Baggot Street in the city centre to toast their comeback in the land, not of their birth, but of their people. Pic: Big Brother Recordings Their mum Peggy was in the audience for both nights and she was said to have been bursting with Mayo pride to see her sons back together on stage, doing what they do best, to 160,000 fans over the two nights. Noel and Liam were joined by Oasis bandmates and support act Richard Ashcroft at the Dublin hostelry where the afterparty went on and on, until the lads had to leave to get a flight back to the UK. Gallagher said he felt 'on top of the world', and was 'blown away' by the reception to Oasis' comeback tour. He added: 'It's difficult to put into words, actually. Every night is the crowd's first night, so every night's got that same kind of energy to it. It's been truly amazing. Noel had high praise for his brother Liam, and said he was totally 'smashing it' with his vocals in top form. 'I guess when it's all said and done, we'll sit and reflect on it, but it's great being back in the band with Liam. I forgot how funny he was.' Liam has been fronting the band for their entire career, something which Noel says he couldn't do as its not in his nature, but as he reflected on the gigs to date, he said: 'I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does it, but I've gotta say man, I look around and I think 'good for you mate'. It's been amazing and I'm proud of him'.

‘It was the most real place' – Richard Ashcroft praises Croke Park audience after Oasis gigs
The 53-year-old rocker has been playing as a support act to the band on their Oasis Live '25 Tour which so far has played 17 nights across Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin. Speaking to UK radio about his upcoming solo album Lovin' You which releases in October, the conversation turned to events at the weekend. "I still feel like I'm in O'Donoghue's in Dublin,' he said in reference to a celebratory gathering by the musical entourage at O'Donoghue's pub on Baggot Street in the city centre following the conclusion of the gigs. His sentiment tallies with that of Oasis' own Noel Gallagher who also spoke on UK radio where he said of the night in the small Dublin pub: 'It was a lot of singing, a lot of drinking and a lot of talking nonsense… it was quite a night.' Mr Ashcroft was clearly taken in by the significance of the weekend, not just to himself and the band, but to the fans in attendance. "We need to find a new word because this ain't just nostalgia,' he said. 'Croke Park the other night was like the centre of the universe. It was the most now-happening real place you could be on the planet. "And same for the people on the street. I mean, you see the footage of the people singing on the street, it was beautiful.'
