Elon Musk's Grok AI gets new vision and multilingual capabilities
Elon Musk-owned xAI's Grok is slowly becoming more and more powerful. Starting today, the AI model is getting new capabilities, including visual and multilingual audio. Grok will now be able to see the world with your camera lens and will interact in different languages, including Hindi. This comes a few days after Grok received a memory update. With these new features, Grok is making its way to compete with the other AI models, like OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Gemini.advertisementxAI's Grok can now see the world and interact in HindiOn Tuesday, xAI introduced Grok Vision, a new feature that enables users to point their iPhone camera at everyday items—such as products, signs, or documents—and ask questions about them. This functionality is currently available exclusively through the Grok app on iOS, with the Android version yet to receive the update.
An X user explains that this feature "allows the chatbot to analyse real-world objects, text, and environments through your device's camera in real time." Now, the users can scan anything and Grok will break it down with context and info on the spot.

advertisementAdditionally, Grok has rolled out several new features, including multilingual audio support and real-time voice search. These enhancements are accessible to Android users, but only to those subscribed to SuperGrok, the premium 30-per-month plan.
Grok's memory featureLast week, xAI revealed that Grok now has the ability to retain previous conversations, allowing it to provide more personalised responses. This enhancement means that when users seek suggestions, Grok can tailor its replies more precisely—assuming it has engaged with the user enough to 'learn' their preferences over time.Although this marks a significant step forward for Grok, the concept itself is far from novel in the AI space. ChatGPT has long featured a similar memory function, recently upgraded to reference a user's entire conversation history. Similarly, Google's Gemini also makes use of persistent memory to deliver customised responses based on individual interactions.Similarly, the vision feature is also nothing new. Major players, including OpneAI, Google, and Apple, rolled out the same capabilities for their AI model days ahead of Grok. However, the good news is that Grok is evolving day by day and is dedicated to filling most of the gaps. For instance, Telegram partnered with Grok for a better reach. So, now, apart from Grok app and X (formerly Twitter), users will be able to interact with the AI model on Telegram as well. All in all, it is fun to see how xAI's Grok is aging and what is more to come.

Google Gemini Can Now Help You Schedule Tasks But Only For These Users
Last Updated: Google AI tools are getting better and Gemini is close to becoming an Assistant for all your tasks and queries but for a fee. Gemini AI is getting a new useful paid feature Google is giving you more reasons to get the paid version of Gemini AI for your devices. The latest update on Gemini comes in the form of scheduled tasks that allows you to use the AI chatbot like an assistant to set up reminders for special days and events. Being a paid version means you will need the Gemini AI Pro or the new AI ultra subscription to trigger the AI assistant and ask it to perform tasks with time in focus. Google says the new feature means you can just ask Gemini AI what you need and it will make sure to give you the answer/summary. There is a scheduled actions page coming to the Gemini app with this update where you can manage all the tasks assigned to the assistant. These features are helpful not only for the users but even Google that will be looking to convert more free users into subscribers for its advanced Google Gemini AI plans. We first heard about scheduled tasks via a report earlier in April and now Google has made it official, even though it is limited to select users for now. Having said that, don't be surprised if the early tepid response forces Google to open the floodgates and allow users to try out the Assistant support. Google released the AI-powered Ask Photos feature that works within the Photos app and for multiple reasons it has decided to pause the roll out for its users. Google's product manager Jamie Aspinall claims the Ask AI feature was facing issues related to latency, quality and the overall experience of how the AI tool offered results. Basically Aspinall says, Ask Photos is not where it needs to be, which seems like a fair call to make rather than let it become an issue in the public. First Published:

Right-wing social media companies Trump Media and Rumble filed a similar lawsuit in Florida in February against a Brazilian judge who had ordered them to remove the U.S.-based accounts of a leading supporter of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. A federal judge decided in the case that the companies were not required to comply with the order in the United States. A Brazilian appeals court is set to consider next week whether it has the authority to order Google to take down the video worldwide. Google asked the court in California on Thursday to declare that LATAM cannot force the tech giant to remove the video in the United States. Canada's Supreme Court upheld an order for Google to remove some search results worldwide in a separate case in 2018. A California judge halted that order's US enforcement in 2017.

This Shark Tank billionaire investor started first business at 24 and didn't take a vacation for 7 years, for one inspiring reason
Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads Mark Cuban No Time Off, No Regrets Rewriting the Rules of Success In a world increasingly drawn to the idea of 'work-life balance,' one man chose an unrelenting, all-in path—and it paid off in billions. Long before he became a household name on Shark Tank or owned an NBA franchise, he was just another 24-year-old with no money, no job, and a singular obsession: to build something of his man was Mark Cuban . In an interview for The Playbook, a video series by Sports Illustrated and Entrepreneur, published on June 3, Cuban reflected on the early years of his career. 'I didn't take a vacation for the next seven years,' he said. 'All I did was learn, learn, learn.' Fired from a computer software store and living in a cramped three-bedroom apartment with six roommates, Cuban launched his first company—MicroSolutions—with nothing but grit and an appetite for back, Cuban doesn't believe he could've achieved his level of success with a more balanced lifestyle. 'There is no balance,' he stated plainly. 'If you want to work 9-to-5, you can have balance. If you want to crush the game, whatever game you're in, there's somebody working 24 hours a day to kick your ass.'By 32, his first venture sold to CompuServe for $6 million. His next big leap, was acquired by Yahoo in 1999 for a whopping $6 billion—setting the foundation for what would become an empire. Today, Cuban has an estimated net worth of $5.7 billion, according to success for Cuban was never just about the money. After becoming a millionaire, he famously threw away his watch. As he shared during a SXSW panel in March 2024, the act was symbolic of reclaiming his time. 'I wanted to make enough money so I didn't have to respond to anybody else,' he said. 'I could make my own schedule and live my own life the way I wanted to do it.'In a February 2024 MasterClass, Cuban reiterated what he sees as the ultimate advantage: effort. 'The one thing in life you can control is your effort,' he noted. 'And being willing to do so is a huge competitive advantage, because most people don't.'
