Four-star WR London Smith out of Waco (Texas) University gave an early commitment to the hometown Bears. Smith is the crown jewel of Dave Aranda's 2026 recruiting class – and is coming off an official visit to Lubbock to check out Texas Tech. Joey McGuire and Co., are after several Baylor verbals, including Smith.

Kentucky is also swinging away here and will host Smith for an official visit.

Four-star SLOT Dequane Prevo gave an early pledge to Sam Pittman and Arkansas. The electric playmaker from East Texas officially visited SMU in May and continues to stand high on the Mustangs' board.
Prevo will return to The Hill on June 20 for an official visit and a final decision is expected shortly thereafter.

Electric four-star SLOT Chris Stewart was one of the first dominoes to fall for Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson in Texas' star-studded 2026 class. The in-state pass-catcher has been courted by several other programs this off-season, with SMU and Oklahoma pressing the hardest for him and his twin brother Carter Stewart.

Texas gets the Rivals250 pass-catcher back to the Forty this weekend (June 13) for an official.

Touted 2026 CB Jamarion Richardson is another early piece in Baylor's 2026 class out of East Texas. The three-star defensive back was in Lubbock last weekend for an official visit and will return to both Memphis and Waco before finalizing his college plans.
Texas Tech made a strong impression on the in-state cornerback and isn't expected to slow down.

Everything LSU pitcher Kade Anderson said after stifling Arkansas in College World Series LSU ace Kade Anderson dazzled in LSU baseball's College World Series win vs. Arkansas on Saturday. The lefty went seven innings, allowing just three hits and one run. Anderson struck out seven and walked two. The Razorbacks' lineup is arguably the best in college baseball. It's filled with power and MLB talent from top to bottom. Apart from a sixth-inning solo home run, Arkansas had no answer for Anderson. Anderson threw 100 pitches, 60 of them strikes. Anderson was aggressive, throwing first pitch strikes to 15 of the 24 batters he faced. When hitters get behind vs. Anderson, it's tough to recover vs. his fastball/changeup combo. Anderson's performance continued to make a case as to why Anderson should be the top pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Anderson has watched his draft stock skyrocket in recent months, and Saturday's outing will only add to the hype. LSU advances to play UCLA at 6 p.m. CT on Monday. But first, here's everything Kade Anderson said after the win. On bouncing back from last week Anderson pitched seven innings vs. West Virginia in the super regional, but he didn't have his best stuff, allowing seven runs. Here's what he said about his response. "Yeah, I think that's part of the game. And you don't take those for granted. It's a learning lesson. And to have that experience and to learn from that outing was huge because Coach Yeskie and I went through it and found out what was the plan for next week to be better. And just taking it all in. And it was a really cool moment, but just excited to win. That's all that really matters." Embracing the big moment in Omaha "Yeah, I think just taking it all in. And that's why you come here. And really just proud of our team. And at the end of the day, that's all you need to do is win. And it doesn't matter the stat line and kind of how this paper lines up. But we won the game. And that's really all I care about." Anderson and LSU take a business-like approach "Yeah, I think Coach Johnson does a really good job in preparing our team. And when you treat every game like a playoff, you get used to it. And LSUs used to being in Omaha. And that's something that we do often. We're proud to say that. But we're meant for these kind of games. And we're excited to keep going." Did Anderson look at his first game vs. Arkansas in May? "Yeah, I take every outing with a grain of salt. And just looking to prepare for the next one. Obviously, you look back a little bit, but every week's different. And kind of how they prepare as well is different. So just continuing to live in a classroom. And that's the best part of it." It's just another game "Yeah, I think, like I said earlier, we treat every game like a playoff and we'll be ready to go. We've faced them four times and I like the results of what we had. And just continuing to go out there and battle and we're not, like Coach Johnson said all the time, we're not playing Arkansas, we're playing the game. And when you take that kind of note at it, it's just another game. And I think that that playoff mindset has really helped us a lot."

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is entering Year 10 of his career and grateful to be fully healthy again. Prescott looked good during mandatory minicamp and built a consistent rapport with newcomer George Pickens and his tight end duo of Jake Ferguson and Brevyn Spann-Ford and others. Advertisement As Cowboys players prepare for a brief break before the dog days of training camp on July 22, Prescott is set to host his annual retreat for offensive skill position players. Last year, the three-day retreat took place in Beaverton, Oregon, where the group got a chance to bond off the field while also building chemistry on the field. 'You can catch a lot of JUGS, you can catch passes, but you want them catching them from you, catching them from the quarterbacks,' Prescott said Thursday after the final day of the mandatory minicamp. 'And then ... there's that camaraderie. Getting those guys together ... getting George here in the last couple months. [We] know him, we're growing. But just getting to know him better, deeper, getting to know all the guys ...'' Prescott's 2024 season was cut short after he suffered a torn hamstring in Week 9 against the Atlanta Falcons. As the unquestioned leader of the team, the 31-year-old signal-caller wants to ensure his teammates are approaching the upcoming season with a winning mentality. Advertisement 'It's been a great offseason,' Prescott said. 'It's going to continue to be a great offseason until we get to camp. Honestly, just the momentum, just staying healthy and the momentum of this minicamp, these OTAs, and making sure that I'm not the only one who keeps that momentum, but the rest of the guys and make sure some of these young guys are doing the things necessary and taking care of their bodies to hit the ground running when we get together in July.' The couple just welcomed their second child, another baby girl, to the world. He tops the NFL in salary at an all-time high $60 million per year, which helps him do things like tear down his $3 million mansion to build something bigger and to donate mountains of money (and his time) to charitable causes. But ... He has yet to reach the pinnacle of the sport. With Prescott approaching his 32nd birthday in the coming months - yes, there will be the annual cake smashed into his face on July 29 once we get to Oxnard and training camp - it is only natural for him to think about the legacy he will leave when his playing career comes to an end. Advertisement Right? "I'll be damned if it's just for my legacy, for this team, for my personal being, for my sanity,'' he said of that "pinnacle.'' "I want to win a championship.'' That would of course apply if he was making $600,000 instead of $60 million. But in our experience covering the NFL and the Cowboys for more than 35 years, it also takes leadership and talent and luck and an obsession with capturing a Super Bowl. And Dak? He has made it clear that he couldn't care less about his legacy — he wants that ring. Prescott said, "The legacy, whatever comes after I finish playing, will take care of itself. I want to win a championship. The legacy will take care of itself, I have to stay where my feet are." Advertisement The bad news, for right now? It's not being hyper-critical that while Dak's "legacy'' as a person, as a citizen, as a teammate, is pristine ... As a football star, Dak's legacy is that he is a good regular-season quarterback with a 2-5 record in the NFL playoffs. Entering Year 10, time is of the essence for Dak to get that elusive Super Bowl ... in part because of his age but also because his gigantic $240 million contract becomes escapable in two years. The Super Bowl drought is going on 30 years. That's not all Dak's fault, obviously, as he has accomplished so much - he'll soon likely hold the franchise records for wins (he's 18 behind Troy Aikman), passing yards (he's 2,746 behind Tony Romo), and passing touchdowns (he's 35 behind Romo) in the next couple seasons.
