Zawya4 days ago
Pune – Tech Mahindra (NSE: TECHM), a leading global provider of technology consulting and digital solutions to enterprises across industries, announces it has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series. Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indexes are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other financial products.
FTSE Russell evaluations are based on performance in areas such as Corporate Governance, Health & Safety, Anti-Corruption and Climate Change. Businesses included in the FTSE4Good Index Series meet a variety of environmental, social and governance criteria. The sustained recognition validates Tech Mahindra's long-standing commitment to ESG excellence and positions the organization as a sustainability-first digital transformation leader. It also reinforces investor and stakeholder confidence in Tech Mahindra's strategy for long-term value creation driven by ethical leadership, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
Sandeep Chandna, Chief Sustainability Officer, Tech Mahindra, 'As ESG considerations move from optional to essential across boardrooms globally, the technology industry is increasingly expected to lead with transparency, resilience, and impact. Tech Mahindra's ninth consecutive inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index showcases our unwavering commitment to responsible business practices and affirms that our efforts in governance, risk management, and climate leadership are globally acknowledged.'
As ESG performance becomes a defining factor for global investors, customers, and regulators, independent validation from globally respected frameworks like FTSE4Good helps bridge the credibility gap that many organizations face in substantiating their ESG claims. Inclusion in the index enhances Tech Mahindra's global positioning as a responsible and future-ready enterprise, offering confidence to customers, partners, and investors that the company adheres to globally benchmarked sustainability standards.
The remarkable nine-year streak reflects the maturity and consistency of Tech Mahindra's ESG strategy amid evolving global expectations. It highlights the company's ability to future-proof its operations by aligning business goals with climate resilience, social equity, and ethical accountability, a vision that continues to define Tech Mahindra's journey toward building a better, more inclusive world.

Saudi Arabia shuts 267 digital platforms to boost unified government services

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority (DGA) has announced the closure and integration of 267 digital platforms across various government sectors as part of ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and increase digital efficiency. The move reflects a broader commitment to improving the quality of government digital services and ensuring platform integration in line with Saudi Arabia's strategic digital transformation goals. According to a statement from the DGA, the closures come under a regulatory framework that includes new governance standards, the adoption of shared technical resources such as the National Single Sign-On system, e-payment gateways, and the Government Integration Channel. All platforms are also required to adhere to the unified design code known as the 'Platform Code,' enabling streamlined and effective digital services. The initiative is part of the 'Inclusive Government' program launched in 2022, which has reduced the number of government digital platforms from 817 to 550 as of the end of H1 2025. The program aims to optimize government resource usage and deliver more efficient and user-centered digital services, supporting the Kingdom's broader digital transformation and improving public satisfaction. The DGA emphasized the importance of collaboration among government entities in developing and managing domains and digital platforms. Central to the strategy is the national app "Tawakkalna," operated by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which is being positioned as the primary gateway for accessing unified government services. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to building an integrated digital ecosystem that enhances the performance of digital platforms and elevates the Kingdom's position in global digital government indicators. © Copyright 2022 The Saudi Gazette. Air India received 9 notices for safety violations in last 6 months

Air India has received nine show cause notices in the last six months, junior civil aviation minister Murlidhar Mohol told lawmakers on Monday, amid heightened scrutiny of the airline in the aftermath of a deadly crash. The notices were related to five safety violations, Mohol added, without giving any details on the violations. "Enforcement action has been completed in respect of one violation," he said. Air India has come under scrutiny after a Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed in the Indian city of Ahmedabad last month, killing 260 people.

India markets regulator allows Jane Street to resume trading, sources say

India's markets regulator has allowed Jane Street to restart trading after the U.S. high-frequency trading firm deposited $567 million, two sources aware of the matter said on Monday. The regulator sent an email to the firm on Friday in which it said that following the deposit of the money the restrictions imposed by its interim order are no longer applicable, said the sources who declined to be named because they are not authorised to speak to media. In an interim order issued on July 3, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had barred the firm from buying and selling securities in the Indian market and froze $567 million of its funds. Jane Street could resume trading if an equivalent amount was deposited in an account that gives the regulator rights over the money until its investigation is complete, the order stated. Email queries sent to Jane Street and SEBI were not answered immediately. The country's stock exchanges, the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd and BSE Ltd., have been directed to closely monitor the activity of the U.S.-based quant trading firm, the sources said. The two exchanges are yet to facilitate Jane Street's buying and selling of Indian securities, said one of the sources. "While the firm has been allowed to resume trading in India, it has given an undertaking to SEBI that it will not trade in options. The firm also does not intend to trade in cash till it has explained its trades to SEBI," the second source said.
