'We're the UK's smartest twins and have a combined IQ of 314'

Metro23-05-2025

What do you do when your twin is a genius? Become one too, I guess.
That was the answer of 11-year-old Keira Arora, who joined MENSA with an IQ of 152 just six months after her twin brother first got in.
With a combined IQ of 314, the pair, from Hounslow in London, are staking their claim as Britain's smartest siblings.
Their parents Nischal and Mauli are also revealing how they raised two children who are finding school frankly far 'too easy'.
Krish Arora got in on the action first. The maths whizz joined Mensa with an IQ of 162 – two more than his 'hero' Albert Einstein – back in November.
He was already doing decimal divisions at the age of four and was reading fluently then, too.
It took just two years for him to master the piano, smashing through four grades in just six months.
But his true love is numbers. The primary school kid has been given piles of maths homework set for school pupils closer to GCSEs, and he's already mastering economics.
Krish, who hopes to be an actuary one day, is looking forward to going to Cambridge despite not even starting secondary school.
But his prospects look good. He got into the UK's best grammar school, Queen Elizabeth, in Barnet after scoring 100% in the 'too easy' 11-plus maths exam.

'I enjoy the label 'genius', he told Metro.
'And I prefer having my sister with me in Mensa now.'
Twin sister Keira was motivated to try to get into the exclusive club for geniuses when her brother blew away the IQ test six months ago.
She told Metro: 'My brother inspired me to take the Mensa test.
'When I got the results, I was so speechless. I was ecstatic and happy.
'I feel very blessed to have a high IQ.'
She's a different kind of clever, writing 'author-like' works of fiction and poetry.
When she has time, she is the lead singer of her school's rock band.
And just like her brother, she's been introduced to robotics and programming by her parents.
School for her is also a breeze.
Keira, who is an aspiring lawyer, said: 'I don't really find it academically challenging, but I really enjoy school because I get to play with my friends.
'I also like having the label as a genius.'
But how did one household end up producing two mini-Einstein's?
Mum Mauli was keen to stress it was a mixture of nature and nurture.
She told Metro: 'The kids have to have the spark, something on the genetic side of it.
'But it is also about the environment that you give them. We are very hands on parents. We expose them to a lot of activities.
'That exposure helps them to learn a lot of things and also to find out where their interests are.'
Their household rules are also the most eye-catching.
While they endorse screen time for language learning on Duolingo and other serious work, screen time for fun is strictly limited to only one hour a day.
'Screen time has to be allowed to some extent, because a lot of learning comes from it,' Mauli explained.
'But in terms of them browsing at leisure or whatever they want to browse, that we limit to one hour.'
'Too much screen time for children can take your focus away. I 100% agree on that.'
Bedtime is also strictly 9.30pm, and they get up bright and early every day to start learning. More Trending
But Twins Krish and Keira are in complete agreement with their parent's methods.
Keira praised the careful limits on mindless phone or gaming time: 'I feel like the limitation of screen time helps me to focus. It means my brain is not so zoned out.'
Both children are beginning their secondary education in September.
While Krish is going to Queen Elizabeth School, Keira is going to very highly-rated Tiggin Girls' School in Kingston.

Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is suspicious of mum Lisa (Vicky Myers) and thus asks her outright why she's being so secretive about what's in the files she was looking at previously. Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), meanwhile, witnesses something and puts two and two together, believing that she's caught Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) up to no good. But is she on the right track? Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), however, receives the biggest of all shocks when Theo's (James Cartwright) daughter Millie makes an unexpected revelation. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Following a memorial service in honour of Craig, Betsy quizzes Lisa on whyshe reacted the way she did when she caught her snooping through files. On the spot, Lisa claims it's because the files in question contains information regarding Betsy's donor, which she's not allowed to know until she's eighteen. Betsy agrees to leave things be, but it appears from her expression – not to mention the fact she sneaks out of the bistro! – that she has other ideas in mind. Ana de Armas broke down in tears over 'intense' Ballerina flamethrower stunt

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Ana de Armas has revealed that she broke down in tears while filming an 'intense' stunt for her new film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. The 37-year-old is leading the way in the action spin-off of Keanu Reeves' iconic franchise, which hit the big screen today. In the blockbuster, directed by Len Wiseman, she played Eve Macarro, an assassin trained by the Ruska Roma who is on her own journey of revenge over her dad's murder. Unpacking a brutal sequence in which her character used a flamethrower against some bad guys, the James Bond actress explained that she became emotional during the first time she rehearsed the stunt before the cameras started rolling. 'I remember the first day the stunt team was practicing with the fire, and they told me to go do it before the shoot, and I said, 'No, no, no, I'll be fine',' she told Entertainment Weekly. 'They got the main fire guy that gets burned, and he's all covered in this sticky grease or whatever they put for protection, and they're like, 'Okay, go ahead. Just burn him.' And I did, and I started crying. 'It was really emotional,' Ana said of the 'intense' scene. 'I've never seen anyone burning, even though it's fake. Thankfully, she was able to gather herself quickly, and continued on with the rehearsal. 'Then I was fine,' she laughed. 'Then I burned like a hundred people. I'm glad I practiced the day before, and I cried the day before. 'But it's amazing to see what [the stunt team] do – I can't believe you guys put yourself through this. It's unbelievable.' 'The fire scene was risky, but we did it,' she added. 'It was all done the right way, and everyone was super careful, and it turned out to be an amazing experience.' After years of waiting, Ballerina is finally in cinemas now and has been met with rave reviews from fans and critics alike – it currently commands a huge audience Rotten Tomatoes score of 93% compared to a critics ranking of 72%. Many on the platform heaped praise on Ana's efforts at leading the latest instalment of the franchise alongside Keanu's John Wick. Andreas Udland wrote: 'Super entertaining. Not one dull or boring scene. Great world building. Ana gives one of her best performances.' 'Ana it's perfect choice for Ballerina,' Ibrahim H wrote. 'This movie is like John wick level, and there action just awesome. Recent pop culture time, it's a great movie, not masterpiece.' 'This movie really moves, it does not let up, this is an extension of the john wick universe. Ana carries this action flick, bring popcorn,' Rick Masters agreed. Emmerdale's Charity makes breakthrough with Sarah but more sadness will follow

Yesterday in Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) discovered Sarah Sugden's (Katie Hill) plan to have a baby through IVF. The youngster made this decision after being told she wouldn't be able to conceive naturally. Sarah has Fanconi anemia which will shorten her life and as a result of this, she's acting fast to make her dream of becoming a mother a reality. Charity's natural reaction when she learnt of Sarah's news was to assume she hadn't thought the idea through at all. Sarah is only 20, and Charity believed she hadn't considered the fact her baby would eventually grow up without a mother. The lack of support from her Gran upset Sarah, but she made it clear that she'd continue with the IVF regardless of what Charity thought. The news of Nate being murdered impacted Charity's view of Sarah's IVF in tonight's episode. With Nate's death in her mind, Charity said that they'd have to have a similar discussion with Sarah's child as Tracy telling Frankie that her dad wasn't ever coming back. It was certainly a low blow but again, that didn't sway Sarah. More Trending As Sarah and Noah (Jack Downham) left, Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) was the one to point out to Charity that Sarah has clearly thought a lot about her decision and after all, she's a grown adult – she fully intends to try and get pregnant regardless of what everyone else thinks.
