Just minutes outside of the heart of the town centre is a complex, which can only really be described a real treasure trove with a garden centre, shop and an amazing place to eat, writes Leah Collins
And your enjoyment helps Bolton's homeless population too.
Emmaus Bolton, has been at the site for 20 years, and since then the complex has grown - with proceeds helping the most in need.

Emmaus sells everything - from dining tables to children's toys. (Image: Leah Collins) Visiting the complex for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised.
There is enough to do here which could easily take an entire afternoon and all prices a were much more than reasonable.
It was almost like a superstore.
Emmaus, which opened in 2005, also sells an array of toys, local art pieces, textiles, books and even vinyl records, making it the perfect spot for a family day out.

Last month, Emmaus was joined by BBC radio presenter, author and the nation's favourite quizmaster, Jay Flynn MBE, at the 20th Anniversary Spring Fair, who is an ambassador for the charity.
The on-site volunteers, who meet at the recycling centre each week, turn donated materials into new items such as bucket hats and clothing.

The team regularly makes benches, picnic tables and planters as well as shelves, book shelves, plate racks, tables and much more to exact specifications using ecologically-sourced wood.

There are no rules about how long someone may stay at Emmaus, provided they abide by the principles of Emmaus and the spirit of the community.

Speaking to The Bolton News he said: 'My time at Emmaus has been extremely beneficial, I was able to receive peer-to-peer support.
'I'm not fortunately in a position to move from the site, I'm hoping to get into the property industry. I'll always be thankful for my time here and will be coming back to visit in the future.'
A range of books, records and clothing is also available to buy. (Image: Leah Collins)
The pantry at Emmaus currently feeds around 400 people and relies on food donations from various organisations around the borough.
The pantry is run by volunteers Joan Blundson and Jackie Emmett.
Speaking to the Bolton News Jackie said: 'I've been volunteering here for around 18 months, it feels rewarding to be giving back to the wider Bolton community.

'Much-loved' opera will be performed by 30-strong cast
A much-loved comic opera is being performed by a Pembrokeshire community. Pembrokeshire's Rhosygilwen estate will host The Merry Widow on July 11 and 12. The opera will be performed by a 30-strong cast of professionally trained singers, all with local roots. Catrin Aur, trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and now residing in Ceredigion, will take the lead role, blending vocal talent with comedic charm. The production is directed by Llandysul-born Fleur Snow, trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Her direction adds a fresh perspective to Franz Lehár's operetta, with lyrics sung in English and interspersed with adapted Welsh lines. The production, supported by a 10-piece live orchestra, will take place in Neuadd y Dderwen (The Oak Hall). The venue is known for its acoustics and rustic charm. Audience members can also enjoy a picnic interval in Rhosygilwen's formal gardens. The Merry Widow promises an evening of laughter, romance, and music, set in the picturesque West Wales setting. Jessie J shares 'highs and lows' of breast cancer treatment
Jessie J has undergone breast cancer surgery. The 37-year-old pop star announced earlier this month that she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer, and Jessie has now taken to social media to reveal where she is in her treatment journey. Alongside a series of photos and videos taken in her hospital room - including some featuring her boyfriend Chanan and her two-year-old son, Sky - Jessie wrote on Instagram: "‼️Blood warning‼️This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours. I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through. Grateful to my doctor / surgeon and all the nurses who cared for me and all my family / friends who came to visit. [hug emoji] I am home now, to rest and wait for my results [fingers crossed emoji] "Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine. "Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this! [hugging, heart and battery emojis] (sic)" Jessie actually shared news of her cancer diagnosis via an Instagram post on June 3. The singer admitted at the time that she had been "going back and forth" over whether to share the news with the public. The Price Tag hitmaker said in a video message: "I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I'm a sharer. I've always shared everything that I go through in my life. Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. "I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form, but I'm holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period." Jessie admitted at the time that she was still trying to process the news herself. However, she ultimately felt it was important that she shared the news with her fans. She said: "I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories."
