Corona Capital in Mexico City has revealed its 2025 lineup, featuring Foo Fighters, Chappell Roan, and Linkin Park as headliners, along with Queens of the Stone Age, Deftones, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes, Garbage, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, and Jelly Roll.
The three-day festival takes place November 14th-16th at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. The newly revealed 2025 lineup also boasts names like TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear, 4 Non Blondes, Lucy Dacus, Damiano David, Aurora, Mogwai, Jerry Cantrell, PinkPantheress, Of Monsters and Men, Lola Young, James, OMD, Cut Copy, Waxahatchee, Jehnny Beth, AFI, Kaiser Chiefs, Nilüfer Yanya, Marina, Jet, Aluna, Samia, and more. Chappell Roan Ties Her Own Best Record With The Smash That Almost Never Was
After years of struggling in the music industry, Chappell Roan finally scored her breakout hit more than a year ago with "Good Luck, Babe!" The tune served as a standalone smash, as she had already released her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess – which didn't feature her first smash, somewhat oddly – and the two took off together. "Good Luck, Babe!" became a massive commercial win all around the world. In the United States, its success was bolstered largely by quick and sustained adoption at pop radio. While "Good Luck, Babe!" may have started her run, Roan's single that almost never was has proved to be an even greater success in many respects. As of this frame, "Pink Pony Club" by Roan has spent 29 weeks on the Pop Airplay chart. The cut is now tied with "Good Luck, Babe!" as the singer-songwriter's longest-running success on Billboard's list of the most popular tunes at top 40 pop stations across the U.S. "Pink Pony Club" and "Good Luck, Babe!" are tied with 29 weeks on the Pop Airplay chart apiece, but that likely won't be the case for very long. When Billboard refreshes its rankings in a few days, "Pink Pony Club" will almost certainly score a thirtieth frame on the list, as it's still performing very well. At the moment, it appears at No. 10, down from No. 8. Since the Pop Airplay roster features 40 spots, it seems unlikely that "Pink Pony Club" will fall away for weeks — if not months — and Roan is almost surely headed for a new longest-running smash. "Pink Pony Club" took a very, very long time to become a pop radio staple. The track was originally released in 2020, before many people knew who Roan was. Even after it was featured on The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, it was not initially selected as a favorite by the public, as the masses instead preferred several other tunes from the project. It wasn't until Roan performed the song during the 2025 Grammy Awards that it shot to prominence. Just weeks after the show, "Pink Pony Club" reached No. 1 on the Pop Airplay tally, joining "Good Luck, Babe!" as her only champions. It went on to rule for three weeks, while "Good Luck, Babe!" only held on for a single turn. Now, it's proved to be not just a high-rising smash, but a long-standing one as well.

‘Sixth Sense' Star Haley Joel Osment Sentenced After April Arrest
A California judge has made a ruling after Oscar-nominated actor Haley Joel Osment was arrested for suspected public intoxication, People reported. Sixth Sense star Osment was arrested on April 8 in Mammoth Lakes, CA, on charges of alleged public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in a local court on June 2. During his arraignment, Osment requested and was granted a one-year diversion which requires him to attend three AA meetings each week for the next six months. Osment must also meet with his therapist at least twice weekly during the next six months and obey all to the outlet, the Mono County district attorney's office objected to Osment's diversion request because of the actor's previous DUI conviction. They also cited Osment's use of racial slurs towards arresting officers as reason the diversion should not have been granted. During his arrest, Osment accused one officer of being 'a f---ing Nazi' and use an antisemitic slur against another. If Osment completes the diversion program, the court will dismiss all charges related to the most recent incident. However, criminal proceedings will be reinstated if Osment does not complete the program. Osment will next appear in court on Jan. 5, 2026, when the judge will review his compliance with the issued an apology back in April for the 'disgraceful language' he used during his arrest, explaining that 'the past few months of loss and displacement' after losing his home in January's Eaton fire 'have broken me down to a very low emotional place.' "I'm absolutely horrified by my behavior. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner," Osment said in his statement. "But that's no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage—I've let the Jewish community down and it devastates me. I don't ask for anyone's forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake."Though Osment is best known for his adolescent roles in The Sixth Sense and Pay It Forward, he's maintained a busy career in subsequent years with over 130 acting credits. The post ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus Writing New Musical with AI: 'Such a Great Tool' appeared first on Consequence. ABBA member Björn Ulvaeus continues to embrace groundbreaking technology. According to Variety, the Swedish hitmaker revealed he is writing a new musical with the assistance of AI during a talk held at SXSW London on Wednesday, June 4th. 'Right now, I'm writing a musical, assisted by AI,' Ulvaeus said during the chat, adding that he was 'three-quarters' of the way through the creative process. The currently untitled project serves as the follow-up to the group's innovative hologram-based 'ABBA Voyage' concert series. It is like having another songwriter in the room with a huge reference frame. It is really an extension of your mind. You have access to things that you didn't think of before.' However, Ulvaeus also acknowledged the current limitations of AI, stating that it is 'lousy at [writing a whole song]' and 'very bad at lyrics.' As such, he believes the technology primarily shines in assisting artists to break through writer's block. 'You can prompt a lyric you have written about something, and you're stuck maybe, and you want this song to be in a certain style,' he explained. 'You can ask it, how would you extend? Where would you go from here? It usually comes out with garbage, but sometimes there is something in it that gives you another idea.' This embrace of AI comes with caution, as Ulvaeus is president of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), which published a study in December 2024 suggesting that music creators could lose nearly a quarter of their income to AI by 2028. 'AI has the power to unlock new and exciting opportunities — but we have to accept that, if badly regulated, generative AI also has the power to cause great damage to human creators, to their careers and livelihoods,' he said at the time of the study's release. 'This will be determined in large part by the choices made by policy makers… It's critical that we get these regulations right, protect creators' rights and help develop an AI environment that safeguards human creativity and culture.' Elsewhere during the SXSW talk, Ulvaeus noted that he and fellow ABBA member Benny Andersson were 'always on the lookout' for 'the latest thing' to aid their creative process, from their first Mini Moog synthesizer to being early adopters of digital recording machines. The AI-assisted musical is the latest project from Ulvaeus' partnership with Pophouse Entertainment, the company behind 'ABBA Voyage.'
