The Tipperary athlete finished second with a time of 52.00 in her first individual race of the season.
This led to a seemingly disappointed
She said: "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe absolutely chronic".
In spite of this, the Olympian appeared to have enjoyed her "work trip" judging by photos she shared from the expedition.

Before flying home, meanwhile, Mawdsley revealed that she had gotten her nails done.
She said: "Thankful for a late flight today because I could FINALLY get my nails done.
"My nails were so bad my hair was getting caught in them. IYKYK".

The Newport AC export joked: "Meant to add this to my last slide. The rain is still following me".
The Savona International was her first competitive action
with Tipperary hurler Michael Breen.
She did so by posting a pic of them on the pitch after the Premier's Munster Championship
But that wasn't the first time she'd been in attendance to cheer on Liam Cahill's side this year.
