The news was just shared by Shannon Ryan, who is President of Marketing for Disney Entertainment Television, in an email to staff.
Levine, who replaced Jayanta Jenkins, in the role, led brand and creative marketing, strategy, publicity, media planning, digital/social, events, talent relations and awards for the brands, which cover factual projects such as Sugarcane as well as titles such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
She will not be replaced with Ryan's marketing and publicity teams assuming her responsibilities.
Erin Weir, who is EVP, Marketing, ABC and Disney Entertainment Television and oversees marketing for the linear network, ABC News, Disney Television Studios, affiliate marketing and syndication, will added marketing for Disney Branded Television to her oversight.
Joe Ortiz, who is SVP, Content Marketing for Onyx Collective and Freeform will add marketing for Nat Geo to his responsibilities. Candice Ashton, who oversees publicity for ABC Entertainment, Hulu, Disney Television Studios, Freeform and Onyx Collective, will now oversee Nat Geo and Disney Branded Television publicity.
When Levine joined in 2022, she reported to Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis and National Geographic Content President Courteney Monroe but more recently reported to Ryan.
Levine joined Disney from the VC-backed tech company BookClub.com, where she was chief marketing officer for the consumer-facing digital platform.
Her appointment at Disney marked a homecoming of sorts; she was previously president of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing at 20th Century Fox Film following the studio's acquisition by Disney and left as part of a mass exodus of Fox's film leadership following the transaction. There, she led campaigns for such hits as Hidden Figures, Logan, Murder on the Orient Express, The Greatest Showman, Deadpool 2 and Bohemian Rhapsody.
Before that, Levine served as chief marketing officer at HBO, leading campaigns for commercial and critical successes such as Game of Thrones, True Detective, Girls, Silicon Valley and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Gal Gadot clarifies comments about pro-Israeli stance causing ‘Snow White' to flop

Gal Gadot is backtracking her recent comments about why 'Snow White' flopped. During her appearance on the Israeli TV show 'The A Talks' on Thursday, the 40-year-old actress stated that anti-Israeli sentiment in Hollywood caused the Disney remake to completely bomb at the box office in March. 'I was positive the movie was going to be a huge hit. And then Oct. 7 happened, and what happened all over in different industries, not just Hollywood, there was a lot of pressure put on celebrities, actors, creators to post against Israel,' Gadot said. 'I was honored to join an extraordinary interview with inspiring interviewers, whose questions go straight to the heart,' she wrote on her Instagram Stories. When the film came out, I felt that those who are against Israel criticized me in a very personal, almost visceral way,' the Israeli star continued. 'They saw me, first and foremost, as an Israeli, not as an actress. That's the perspective I spoke from when I answered the question.' Gadot added: 'Of course, the film didn't fail solely because of external pressures. There are many factors that determine why a film succeeds or fails, and success is never guaranteed.' Gadot, who played the Evil Queen in 'Snow White,' explained on 'The A Talks' that she believed the movie's success was 'affected' by the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. 'I can always explain and try to give people in the world context about the situation and the reality in Israel, and I always do that,' she shared. 'But at the end, people make up their own minds. And I was disappointed that the movie was incredibly affected by all of that and that it didn't do well at the box office.' Advertisement 9 Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler in 'Snow White.' The Disney flick, which was directed by Marc Webb, cost between $240 million and $270 million to make but only grossed around $205 million. The film suffered criticism for using CGI to create the seven dwarfs, while Gadot and her co-star Rachel Zegler created controversy after voicing opposing views about the conflict still unfolding in Gaza. 9 Gal Gadot, Rachel Zegler in 'Snow White.' It was also reported that Disney had to beef up Gadot's security due to her pro-Israeli stance. Zegler, for her part, dealt with backlash for calling the 1937 original movie 'dated' and 'weird.' She also referred to the Prince character as a 'stalker.'

Marvel leaves Georgia to film superhero movies in UK — gutting state's movie industry: ‘You feel like a jilted lover'

Marvel Studios has shifted most of its production out of Georgia in favor of the United Kingdom — a move that has gutted the Peach State's film industry, wiping out nearly half its spending and leaving once-bustling soundstages largely empty. The Disney-owned studio behind 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' and 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' filmed nearly two dozen projects in Atlanta over the past decade. But starting with this summer's 'Fantastic Four: First Steps,' Marvel is shifting its superhero slate — including two new 'Avengers' films and the next 'Spider-Man' — to facilities outside London. Advertisement 4 Tom Holland was recently spotted filming scenes for the upcoming 'Spider-Man' installment in Glasgow, Scotland. UnBoxPHD / While major studios including Disney, Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery threatened boycotts over Georgia's 2019 abortion law, with some smaller productions leaving in protest, Marvel's current exodus to the UK is driven purely by economics. Rising labor costs in Georgia tipped the scales. In the UK, crews are paid less and studios aren't saddled with health insurance expenses, making it cheaper to shoot overseas, a person familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. The result has been devastating. Georgia's film and TV spending has plunged nearly 50% in three years, with just 245 projects filmed in the fiscal year ending June 2025 — down from 412 in 2022. Advertisement 'You feel like a jilted lover,' Janine Gosselin, 62, a script supervisor who once made $200,000 a year working Marvel sets, told the Journal. She hasn't had steady work since February 2024 and has borrowed from her retirement fund to cover bills. The downturn has film workers so demoralized they've turned the state's famous jingle into a joke. Crew members on the game show '25 Words or Less' sang new lyrics to the 'Made in Georgia' tag earlier this year: 'Unemployed in Georgia.' AFP via Getty Images 'We were fighting over stages on a daily basis because there just wasn't enough room for Marvel and whatever other show was trying to film,' location scout Lenzi Sealy, who worked on four Marvel projects, told the Journal. Now, she says, the lot is 'largely empty.' Advertisement Sealy remembered February's 'Captain America: Brave New World' shoot, when rumors spread it might be Marvel's Georgia swan song. Her fears came true weeks later when the studio held an auction to sell props it had accumulated during its decade in the state. 'That's when it really hit home,' she told the Journal. For local crews, Marvel wasn't just another client — it was the cornerstone. The studio's high-budget blockbusters employed hundreds at a time and kept workers busy year-round. 4 This file image released by Marvel Studios shows, from left, Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Benedict Wong in a scene from 'Avengers: Infinity War.' AP 'Marvel allowed me to do so much with my life and really set the trajectory for my career,' said grip John Grubb, 44, who worked six Marvel films. He even calls his $350,000 home 'the house 'Avengers' bought.' The collapse comes after a meteoric rise that began in 2008, when Georgia expanded of its film tax credit to 30%, uncapped — making it one of the most generous in the world. Advertisement The policy turned Atlanta into the so-called 'Hollywood of the South.' Franchises rushed in: Lionsgate's 'Hunger Games,' Universal's 'Fast & Furious,' Netflix's 'Stranger Things' and AMC's 'The Walking Dead.' At its peak, the industry supported nearly 20,000 jobs, according to a 2023 Georgia State University study. But the global economics have changed. Across the US, 29% fewer big-budget movies and shows began filming in 2024 compared to 2022, according to ProdPro. Advertisement In the UK, that number jumped 16%. 4 This image released by Disney shows the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner, in a scene from 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps.' AP Other countries like Canada and Australia continue to lure projects. States including California, New York, New Jersey and Texas are pumping up their own incentives to compete. Lee Thomas, director of the Georgia Film Office, said rising labor costs drove Marvel and others out. Advertisement 'We hope that this is an anomaly where they'll try out other markets and will return to Georgia because they have faith in our crew and facilities and our tried-and-true incentive,' she told the Journal. Trilith CEO Frank Patterson is betting the slump will end, predicting a 'new normal in 2027.' In the meantime, his company is investing in startups that make content exclusively on the studio's stages. The Post has sought comment from the Georgia Film Office and Marvel.
