While many high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) presently reside in a few major cities, such as New York, Paris, and Hong Kong, they are increasingly moving to hubs that offer better opportunities for growing their wealth and enhanced lifestyles.
Henley & Partners' analysis highlights that technology and friendly taxation policies are the foremost creators of wealth.
Fastest-growing wealth hubs like Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and the Bay Area host large tech communities to attract HNWIs, while Dubai, Miami, and Singapore benefit from favourable or minimal taxation burdens.
These cities are experiencing significant wealth expansion, doubling their millionaire populations over the past decade.
America continues to dominate with eight fastest-growing wealth centres. Sixteen Asian cities also feature on the list.
Middle Eastern cities, especially within the UAE and Saudi Arabia, have established themselves as pivotal connections in contemporary wealth networks.

Please note: Rankings are as of December 2024, and all statistics are in USD terms. This table includes only cities with over 10,000 millionaire residents and accounts solely for individuals residing in each city. Millionaire figures have been rounded to the nearest 100.
The Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru, ranked at #3 with 120% millionaire growth, has emerged as one of the fastest-growing wealth hubs globally and in India in the last decade, the report highlights.
Furthermore, the capital city and financial capital, Delhi and Mumbai, ranked #14 and #18 globally, have demonstrated strong growth of 82% and 69% growth, respectively, in millionaires over the last ten years.

Akasa Air to operate flights from Navi Mumbai International Airport
Mumbai, June 6 (UNI) Akasa Air, in association with Adani Airport Holdings Ltd (AAHL), has emerged as the first airlines to announce its operational presence at the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), which is slated to be inaugurated in August, sources in the aviation industry said on Friday. Akasa plans to introduce more than 100 weekly domestic departures initially, which would increase to over 350 weekly flights, both domestic and international, by the winter schedule. The network strategy of Akasa Air from NMIA includes robust domestic connectivity and scheduled international expansion into major Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian nations. Akasa Air is set to operate 50 flights from the upcoming Navi Mumbai airport, with an initial 15 departures including both domestic and international routes. "In Mumbai, we have close to 32 departures today and Navi Mumbai, we expect to take that up to about 75 to 80 odd departures as we exit winters. That's how significant this is for us," said airline will continue to maintain these flights with "no plans to consolidate operations", Dube said.
