Emmerdale fans 'work out' who will catch John out - and it's not Robert
As the latest in a long line of evil villains, Emmerdale's John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) has wreaked havoc on the eponymous village, leaving chaos in his wake.
But if there's one thing we've learned from his predecessors it's that the justice will prevail – eventually -meaning John will inevitably get his comeuppance at some stage in the future.
With Robert (Ryan Hawley) back and vying for Aaron Dingle's (Danny Miller) affection, fans were convinced for a time that the popular character would play an instrumental role in the killer's downfall.
However, a recent scene has poured cold water on that theory, with another Emmerdale favourite officially in the mix regarding who will take down the murderer with a hero complex.
I am of course referring to Caleb Miligan (William Ash).

With John having assisted in the cover-up of the murder of Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) – who was killed by Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) – Caleb was incredibly grateful to him for what he did.
John, as we all know, loves to play the hero, and therefore, he lapped up Caleb's gratitude, delighted that the Dingles were so appreciative of his efforts.

However, with Robert back in town, John's anxiety is spiralling out of control, with the killer fearful that his long-lost brother will swoop back in and whisk one true love Aaron – who John married last month – off his feet again.
Caleb, meanwhile, decided to offer Robert a job, thus giving him another reason to stay in the village. Desperate to get rid of Robert, John resorted to blackmail, urging Caleb to sack the returnee, making reference to how he assisted with getting rid of Anthony.
It takes a lot to spook Caleb but it was quite clear that he didn't like being put in such a position by someone he thought he could trust.
With Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) having promised to keep his mouth shut and Ruby officially in the clear with the police, Caleb thought the Anthony nightmare was over – but the John development could prove otherwise. That is, unless he deals with the problem himself? More Trending
Fans certainly reckon that this could be what's coming.

Wrestling icon, 51, is 'officially retired' as they reveal WWE future
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A wrestling legend has officially announced his retirement 21 years after his debut match. TNA Wrestling icon Abyss, who is making history as his character appears in WWE 2K25 as part of today's Dunk & Destruction DLC pack, hasn't had a match since 2019 when he joined WWE behind the scenes as a producer. Asked if he would appear in the Royal Rumble, Abyss – whose real name is Chris Park – exclusively told Metro: 'I'm officially retired. 'I'm so enthralled, and just intertwined with what I'm doing now as a producer, you know – I don't have any interests either. [Wrestling again is] not an option.' Park, 51, admitted that the punishment he put his body through over the years has taken his toll. 'I'm getting up there in age, I'm still a young man,' he quipped. 'But my the old 'bump card' is tapped out for me.' Instead, Park – who has never wrestled for WWE, but had a brief on screen stint as AJ Styles' statistician on SmackDown – is 'so focused on being the best producer I can be'. Since February 2019, the man best known to fans as 'The Monster' Abyss has swapped his reputation for bloody and violent wrestling in favour of a career helping today's WWE stars plan out their matches. He is grateful for his second career, and getting to work with and learn from the likes of Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, Michael Hayes, Ed Koski, Brian James and more. 'It's an incredible learning experience. There's some just amazing, brilliant minds,' he smiled. 'When you get three or four minds and three or four sets of eyeballs looking at something, and you get a collaboration – that's always when you get the best product, in the end.' In another unexpected twist, Abyss will become the first TNA character in a WWE video game, having never featured on screen for the company. He's in the newest WWE 2K25 DLC alongside Hall of Famer The Great Khali, and NBA stars Tyrese Haliburton, Shaquille O'Neal and Jalen Brunson. Park described it as a 'bucket list moment', especially seeing his iconic persona in a WWE game with his beloved theme music and signature weapon Janice. 'I never imagined in a million years that I would have the opportunity to be in a WWE video game,' he beamed with pride, before revealing he was given a full body scan to accurately bring Abyss back to life. 'It's been an incredible process, you know, from the scans and the different elements to make it happen, make it come to life,' he added. It's also been surreal for the 51-year-old former world champion to see the partnership between TNA and WWE. 'My entire run at TNA, which was a pretty significant amount of time, 2002 to 2019 … TNA and WWE working together, that wasn't an option back then,' he said. 'It's an incredible moment for TNA, for WWE. It's just been fantastic.' Over the years, Abyss could have become a WWE superstar, with Park previously confirming offers to work with The Undertaker at WrestleMania. 'There were options there,' he admitted. '[But] I was a TNA guy. I was a lifer. I had been there since the very, very beginning, since the doors opened. For me, it was just a loyalty thing.' Abyss gave TNA so many incredible moments while putting his body on the line in the name of entertainment. He may have built his reputation on being a hardcore wrestling, but the man behind the mask admitted even he got 'scared'. 'Being nervous is a good thing. It keeps you sharp,' he explained. 'Every risky spot that I ever did in wrestling, obviously there was a high risk to it, but it was calculated. 'I tried to be smart about it, and but I was always nervous, and some of them were scary. The Bubba and D'Von chokeslam off the side of the stage through the fire table is one I perhaps wish I had back.' Despite overtures from WWE, Park would have found it 'so incredibly hard' to leave, as his history 'weighed on him' as while making a decision. 'I was there for all the good and all the bad, and all the in between,' he chuckled. 'The friendships I forged there were just amazing.' More Trending WWE fans will have to play as Abyss in WWE 2K25 to bring dream matches to life, and Park has some in mind. 'You gotta do Abyss/Undertaker,' he said. 'Then Kane. I had the opportunity to work with Mick Foley in TNA, but that'll be up there. 'I've got to revisit the classics, Abyss versus AJ Styles. Maybe in WWE 2k25 I can actually beat AJ!' Brooklyn Beckham takes dig at dad David with birthday message to Nicola's father
Brooklyn Beckham has made a statement by wishing a happy birthday to his wife Nicola Peltz's father, after snubbing his own dad's birthday. The 26-year-old star is rumoured to be in the midst of a rift with his family. The family – including Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and daughter Harper, 13 – shared heartfelt posts for Sir David's 50th birthday, but Brooklyn was conspicuous by his absence at any celebration or in joining his family's public well wishes. He similarly ignored his mother's 51st birthday weeks later. The influencer even stayed silent on Father's Day and after the news of Sir David's knighthood, which his siblings celebrated on social media. The star and his wife have reportedly kept their distance from his family in recent months, with a source close to the former photographer's mum, Victoria, recently telling Metro she is 'heartbroken' over the apparent rift. Brooklyn has now taken to Instagram to wish his father-in-law, Nelson, a happy birthday with a short message – making his lack of public birthday wishes for his own parents all the more glaring. Posting a picture of Nelson, him, and his wife posing for the camera, Brooklyn wrote: 'Happy birthday, Nelson, we love you.' Nicola is the daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz. The pair have been married for over 30 years and have eight children together, including Nicola. During an interview with Byrdie in February 2024, Nicola said of her family: 'Family is everything to me, and I mean that with my whole heart,' she said. 'I go to Florida any chance I get, and we stay at my parents' house. It honestly makes me so happy to wake up and have my siblings around. It's really hard to get us all in the same place because there are so many of us. When we're all together, it's so fun.' The post comes after eagle-eyed fans noticed Brooklyn had a tattoo tribute to his mother covered up. He used to have 'mama's boy' in a typewriter-style font over his heart, referencing their close relationship. Now, though, the words have been hidden within a sketch of Nicola's bouquet from their wedding day, which comes after he vowed to 'always choose' his other half. More Trending Brooklyn first showed off the tattoo in 2017 when he was just 18 years old. It comes as his fashion designer mother is reportedly desperate for him to patch things up with his dad. 'Victoria hates to think about her family being so divided, especially with it involving one of her children. Brooklyn's absence at David's 50th birthday party was noticeable, and she desperately wished he would have been there,' a source told Metro. 'She's hoping Brooklyn will come around and see things for what they are. They've always been a close-knit family, and seeing how things are now has been devastating for Victoria and David.' Diddy's explicit ‘freak-off' text messages revealed in court for first time
The ongoing trial of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs took a deeply personal turn Tuesday, as the court heard a series of graphic and intimate text messages. The 55-year-old music artist is facing charges of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution – he has denied all allegations against him. The hearings kicked off last month in New York, with his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, and Kid Cudi among those who have taken the stand so far. The messages shown in court yesterday were exchanged between Combs and his ex-girlfriend, identified in proceedings under the pseudonym 'Jane.' The texts, sent over nearly two years, offer a window into what prosecutors describe as a manipulative and coercive relationship masked by moments of affection and humor. The earliest texts presented date back to November 7, 2021, when Combs joked about serving 'orgasms and foodgasms' over brunch, after apparently sending Jane an explicit photo. The exchange began with Combs texting Jane: 'Hey baby how are you?'. After they discussed that Combs was preparing brunch, he sent an explicit photo to which she replied: 'Sheesh you need to come with a warning signs (closed monkey face emojis).' He wrote that brunch had gone well, before adding, 'I'm serving orgasms and foodgasms,' to which Jane replied, 'That's definitely the first time I've heard that.' On April 7, 2022 , allegedly the day after one of Combs' freak offs' he checked in with Jane, texting: 'Great. Checking on you adderall is the greatest lol.' Jane responded warmly, saying she had enjoyed seeing him and included flirtatious emojis. Later that same month, a more telling exchange took place. Combs texted Jane about having 'crazy fantasies' involving her and a male escort named Leo. Jane responded, 'Baby I wanna make love to you. I haven't selfishly had you to myself for 5 months… I really just need you right now.' Combs replied, 'OK whatever you want,' then asked whether Leo would be available after their one-on-one time. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video By May 2023, the tone of the messages had shifted. Jane texted: 'We didn't film it, you forgot it, you promised you wouldn't forget,' referencing what prosecutors believe was another group sex encounter. Jane has previously alleged that Combs threatened to release videos of her with male escorts, a threat she claims he followed up with a warning that he would show the tapes to her child's father. In a text thread from August 2023, Combs and Jane discussed a new male entertainer who was being considered for another 'hotel night.' Jane confirmed she'd ensure the man signed a non-disclosure agreement, a common practice in Combs' circle, according to testimonies from former staff and partners. 'He seems cool babe, hopefully he doesn't know anybody we know lol,' she texted. While defense attorney Teny Geragos has argued that Jane was a willing participant in these encounters, prosecutors maintain that willingness was coerced under the weight of Combs' fame, money, and threats. Monday's court session saw jurors viewing explicit videos involving Jane and other men, which were played privately using headsets. Jane testified over six days, recounting what she described as a 'sometimes loving' relationship with Combs that became increasingly transactional and controlling. When exchanging explicit messages in September 2023, Jane told Combs: 'Love being kinky for you, love being wild.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video In another message she spoke about shopping at a 'freak store.' More Trending Geragos, in her cross-examination, has tried to reframe Jane's participation as consensual, even affectionate – underscored by texts in which Jane tells Combs she loves him and promises not to take him for granted. But prosecutors argue those expressions are part of the psychological grip Combs maintained, citing Jane's testimony that she 'went along' with his sexual requests because she wanted to please him. Combs continues to deny all allegations, and the trial is expected to continue into July. Got a story?
