Mika Singh hints at how much he was paid for performing at Anant Ambani wedding, complains he didn't get Rs 2 cr watch: ‘Sab ameeron ko de di'
Mika Singh was paid handsomely for performing during the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani, Reliance Chairperson Mukesh Ambani's son, last year. So much so that he admits the fees can last him five years. However, months after the wedding, Mika remains upset over the fact that he didn't get the Rs 2 crore Audemars Piguet limited-edition luxury watch that many others were gifted.
'Anant bhai, mujhe pata hai aap mujhse dukhi ho ke, naraaz ho ke, ek na ek din ghadi doge. Aur main bhi pyaar se le ke hi rahunga. Mera haq banta hai (I know you'll give that watch to me one day after getting frustrated by me. And I'll receive it with love. It's my right),' said Mika. He joked he'll keep chasing Anant for the watch till he gives in.
On Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Mika argued that richer celebrities have been gifted the watch, but not those like him. 'Main usi baat par chidha hu. Baat mehengi-sasti ki nahi hoti. Sabse gareeb ko toh banta hi hai. Saare ameeron ko toh de di unhone. Sab aise photo daalte hain. Usmei main bhi apna haath ghusaunga (It's not about how expensive or cheap it is. All the rich guests have been gifted the watch. I should get it too so I can flex it in a photo like others do. That's why I'm upset),' added Mika.
Last year, Mika had first expressed his displeasure at not receiving the watch from Anant Ambani, which others like the groomsmen, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, did for their involvement in Anant's wedding with Radhika Merchant. However, he had assured everyone that he was paid handsomely for his performance at the wedding.
'I was paid a lot of fees. But I cannot tell you how much this amount was. But if you want to guess, I can say that I got so much money that I could easily spend five years with it. I don't have any special expenses. So I could easily spend five years with that money,' the singer told The Lallantop.
Mika also pointed out how the stigma associated with Bollywood celebrities performing at weddings has gradually faded over the years. 'When we two brothers (him and Daler Mehendi) used to sing at weddings, people used to feel bad that they were going and singing at weddings. Now, I see that everyone is singing at weddings. It doesn't seem like anyone is going to a big show and performing. Now, they are earning all their money by singing at weddings,' said Mika.

'Jaya and I decided...': Amitabh Bachchan reveals he will give his property worth Rs 3160 crore to...
The Bachchan family is one of the biggest Bollywood households, consisting of some iconic actors including Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Amitabh and Jaya have ruled the cinema for ages. In 1973, the couple got married and were blessed with two kids — Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda Bachchan. While Abhishek followed in his father's footsteps to become an actor, Shweta is an Indian columnist and author. Amitabh Bachchan is one of the wealthiest actors in the industry, with an impressive net worth of around Rs 1600 crore. With such wealth, the question that often arises is: who will inherit Big B and Jaya Bachchan's properties? Recently, an old video of Amitabh Bachchan has gone viral where he revealed how he wishes to divide his properties after his death. In a 2011 interview with Rediff, Amitabh Bachchan said, 'I would not differentiate between Abhishek and Shweta. When I die, whatever little I have will be equally divided between my daughter and my son — there is no differentiation. Jaya and I decided on that a long time back. Everybody says that the girl is paraya dhan, she goes to her husband's house, but in my eyes, she is our daughter; she has the same rights Abhishek has.' In 2007, Abhishek Bachchan tied the knot with Aishwarya Rai, and the couple was blessed with a daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. On the other hand, Shweta married Nikhil Nanda, the son of Raj Kapoor's daughter Ritu Nanda and Rajan Nanda. The couple has two children — a son, Agastya Nanda, and a daughter, Navya Naveli. Coming to Abhishek Bachchan's work front, the actor will be seen in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan. More details about the film are awaited.
