Bella Thorne sparks debate after proposing to fiancé

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Bella Thorne has found herself at the centre of a debate online after choosing to propose to her fiancé, Mark Emms. The only catch is that producer Emms already proposed to the Disney star, 27, back in 2023. Sharing the sweet moment on her Instagram page, Thorne got down on one knee to mark the one-year anniversary of the couple getting engaged, much to Emms' surprise. Surrounded by candles and rose petals, Thorne got down on one knee while Emms appeared bewildered and delighted, later posing among a room of red heart-shaped balloons to celebrate. The Shake It Up star wrote in the caption: '3 years ago we met, 1 year later he proposed, now 1 year later so did I 🥴❤️.' However, some fans said she should not 'normalise this' and questioned why she proposed after her partner already had. 'If he already proposed why did you do it lol I'm confused,' cbadavis wrote on Instagram. 'This one shoulda stayed in the gallery sis,' x_daniella_x added, while Kgrisss went as far as to say they would 'rather swallow glass.' 'I'd rather have my nails ripped off with a tenacity before I do that,' aylen_szecsi boldly claimed. Others said the backlash was 'ridiculous' and deemed the gesture 'romantic.' 'Comments failed. girl power i love you for this,' Anisacaroj commented. Tyna_pav pointed out: 'What the hell is wrong with proposing both sides? This is toxic femininity ladies.' 'I don't understand why everyone's hating. It's cute 😭,' added. 'Men also deserve to be loved, they also deserve details and to be surprised. It's already a solid relationship, therefore it's a mutual conquest, and that's it! 👏' Daniidg93 wrote. More Trending Thorne later took to her Instagram Stories to address the wild debate, writing: 'The comments on my post are hilarious!!. 'Totally split down the middle. Half of u are like let's not normalize proposing to your partner — other half is like f*** yeah girl power this is the sweetest!!' Thorne and Emms met in 2022 at Cara Delevingne's birthday party, dating soon after and announcing their engagement in 2023. Cheryl confirms return to the spotlight 10 months after Liam Payne's death

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Cheryl has ushered in a 'new era' as she re-emerges after months of silence following the shock death of Liam Payne. The Girls Aloud legend has rarely been seen since the fateful day in October when Payne fell from a hotel balcony at age 31. She was seen at his funeral alongside his One Direction bandmates but has shunned the spotlight as she took care of their little boy, Bear. Now, Cheryl has made a grand return as she featured in an advert for Nivea UK, walking up stairs and into a photoshoot in an all black look. Only glimpses of the star were shown until the end, where her eyes could be seen above a newspaper. 'I'm ready,' she said in that familiar Geordie lilt before the clip cut away, promising 'a new era. Tomorrow.' 'This is right up our street. Tomorrow. 9am. A new era of skincare… guess who's joining us,' the brand wrote on Instagram. Fans went mad in the comments, excited that 'our girl is back' after a horrific year away. 'Our beauty is back!! 🥺🙌🏼♥️,' said itsbex as hannahamakeup wrote: 'This has made my ENTIRE LIFE 😍.' 'CHERYLL oh how I've missed her 😍😍😍,' added x_gracep_ while jihuhbic said: 'OMG OMG IM NOT READY.' Aptly named fan account Chezismyqueen screamed: 'OMG MY QUEEN IS BACK 😍😍 CHEEEZZZZ 😍😍.' The surprise return caught fans by surprise as Cheryl has been in mum mode protecting Bear, 8, from the spotlight after his dad's death. She and Payne welcomed Bear together in 2017 during their two-year relationship and co-parented after their split. Previously, it was reported that the Night Changes singer died without a will and Cheryl was granted power of administration over his estate alongside music lawyer Richard Bray, according to The Sun. A source told the publication: 'Cheryl wants to protect Bear and is going to stop him receiving Liam's inheritance until he's at least 25 years old, if not older. 'She feels she wants Bear to be of an age where he can make informed decisions about the money.' Cheryl has rarely publicly addressed the death, except for an emotional tribute after the news broke. More Trending She wrote: 'As I try to navigate this earth-shattering event, and work through my own grief at this indescribably painful time, I'd like to kindly remind everyone that we have lost a human being. 'Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again.' At the time, she asked fans to consider what Bear might think reading comments before having their own say. View More » 'Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last. Thank you, Cheryl.' Got a story? Sir Elton John, 78, seen in rare photo with David Walliams

Sir Elton John is officially living his best life during retirement (would we expect anything less?) as he celebrated on Sunday by dancing and partying alongside David Walliams. The 78-year-old singer-songwriter extraordinaire retired in 2023 after a stellar career that saw him sell millions upon millions of records worldwide. The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour ran for five years either side of the Covid-19 pandemic as thousands flocked to see the Your Song hitmaker at arenas every night. Since then, Sir Elton has been spending time with his partner David Furnish and their two songs, and threatening to take the government to court – among other things. And over the weekend he was spotted partying it up on the beautiful south coast in France – and he was accompanied by a rather famous friend during his sunny getaway. Sir Elton was joined by David Walliams as the pair spent a sun-kissed evening at La Guérite restaurant on Sunday, with pictures and videos posted to David's Instagram. In a video uploaded to Instagram, David was spotted grooving the night away to Whitney Houston's 1987 hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody, inviting Sir Elton to join in. While Sir Elton stayed seated as David gyrated and placed his hands on Sir Elton's shoulders, the Sacrifice singer did sing along to Houston's words with a smile on his face. Helen Flinn commented, saying, 'One singer, one dancer, whoop whoop perfect partnership yeah,' while Carol Brears celebrated, 'Fantastic – better than being sat there all serious and boring'. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Joking about the free-spiritedness and enjoyment exhibited by Sir Elton and David during the impromptu routine, Hedy Fletcher joked 'And that's you guys on water!' Some of David's other followers noticed that the other patrons at the restaurant, which sits on the Ile Sainte-Marguerite just off the coast of Cannes, appeared to have no idea who they were sitting next to. Nicky Veitch laughed, saying 'People in that restaurant haven't got a clue whose sitting at that table,' while added, 'The girl behind wondering 'Is it him, is it Elton?'' And fans of Netflix series Heartstopper also spotted show stars Kit Connor and Tobie Donovan joining in the dance, with David uploading a snap alongside the two actors and their Heartstopper co-star Joe Locke. More Trending It's not known if Sir Elton, David, and the Heartstopper stars were all on the same holiday or if they'd just bumped into each other, but they made sure to have the best time anyway. La Guérite has hosted many celebrities and other famous faces down the years, with the exclusive eatery only accessible from the mainland by yacht. It's not the first time Sir Elton has been spotted dining there, with other Hollywood and showbiz legends also journeying to the remote restaurant for some fancy grub. Beyoncé and Jay Z, the Beckham family, the Kardashian clan, and Leonardo DiCaprio are just some of the huge names who've spent an evening at the Mediterranean hotspot. Got a story?
