Veteran actress Farida Jalal, who recently made a solid comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, accused Karan Johar of shifting loyalties very fast.
'Back in the day, Karan Johar… I don't know what he's like nowadays, loyalties shift very fast. He doesn't have any role for me in his films these days, even though they wouldn't make a film without me at one point. His father, Yash Johar, was one of my favourite producers. What a man, what a gem of a person! He'd call me up and say, 'Dekhiye Farida, hero ka role toh baad mein likha jaata hai, aapka role pehle likha jaata hai (We write your character even before we've decided where to go with the protagonist)',' said Jalal while talking to Bollywood Bubble.

She continued, 'I first met Karan on the sets of _Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge_, because he was Aditya Chopra's right hand man on that film. We became very close. He would tell me that he's going to make a film, and Kajol, Shah Rukh and I were all with him. He came to tell me the story of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai… It is still his best film, and I'm not just saying this because I was in it.It was a very sensitive film. He would write each and every word, every scene himself. I cried when he narrated the film to me.'

Salman Khan Reveals Why He Covered His Balcony With Bullet Proof Glass: 'I Would Find...'

The balcony of the Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments house was covered with bulletproof glass in January this year. For years, the balcony of Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment has been iconic. Every year, the Bollywood superstar used to greet his fans on Eid from this spot of his house. However, everyone was left disheartened when the balcony was covered with bulletproof glass earlier this year. While everyone thought it was because of the constant threats that the actor has been getting, Khan has now revealed the real reason for covering his balcony. In a recent interview, Salman Khan revealed that he decided to cover his balcony because people would climb up and stay there to meet him. 'I would find them sleeping there," he said, as quoted by Bollywood Bubble. Therefore, the actor covered his balcony for everyone's safety at home. For the unversed, the balcony of Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments house was covered with bulletproof glass in January this year. The stepping up of the security came at a time when the actor was facing several death threats, mainly from the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. In April 2024, gunshots were fired outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra area. Later, it was reported that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is alleged to be behind the attack as the gangster's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting incident via a Facebook post. Later, the Mumbai Traffic Police also received a message from the gang, demanding Rs 5 crore for Salman's 'forgiveness." The message threatened that if the demand wasn't met, he would suffer a fate 'worse than Baba Siddique," who was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12, 2024. After the shocking incidents, Salman Khan's security was upgraded. In October 2024, the actor also acquired a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV worth approximately Rs 2 crore, imported directly from Dubai to Mumbai. Besides this, safety measures were also implemented outside the Bigg Boss 18 sets in Mumbai's film city. Reportedly, Khan's security team was also reinforced with an additional eight to ten armed officers, and a special command center was established at his residence by the Mumbai Police. Ahaan Panday's ‘Saiyaara' beats IMDb's list of most romantic Bollywood films, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's…

Mohit Suri's Saiyaara, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Anita Padda, has taken the No. 1 position on IMDb's list of most romantic Bollywood films. With a solid rating of 8.1, the film has surpassed several cult favourites — including many led by Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood's undisputed king of romance. The film raked in Rs 21 crore on its first day and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within just four days of its release. To date, Saira has earned Rs 109 crore, making it not just Mohit Suri's biggest opener ever but also one of 2025's most surprising box office storms. Did Saiyaara outrank Shah Rukh Khan's most iconic love stories? Yes, and not just one, it outranked several. Let's take a look at the current IMDb rankings: Saiyaara – 8.1 The film has already broken multiple records, its big Bollywood launch directed by Mohit Suri and backed by none other than Yash Raj Films. For a pair of newcomers, they couldn't have asked for a louder debut. The film has an IMDb rating of 8.1. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge – 8.0 Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, this classic romance is now in second place, just behind Saiyaara. My Name is Khan – 7.9 Previously in second place, it's been pushed to third. Kal Ho Naa Ho – 7.9 Another SRK-starrer that now follows Saiyaara on the list. Jab We Met – 7.8 Shahid and Kareena's fresh romantic drama holds the fifth position. Veer-Zaara – 7.8 Yet another Shah Rukh film that has slipped in rankings. Rockstar – 7.8 Ranbir Kapoor's intense musical love story stands strong at sixth place. Raanjhanaa – IMDb rating not mentioned explicitly, but now at No. 7 This Banaras-based love story starring Dhanush continues to resonate with fans. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – 7.5 Once considered SRK's ultimate love story, this film now ranks eighth. What makes Saiyaara stand out? Despite being a debut film for both its lead actors, Saiyaara seems to have struck a chord with the audience. Its modern storytelling, emotional depth, and sincere performances have helped it climb to the top, outperforming even the most legendary love stories.
