Inside the Kardashians' explosive succession battle as Kris' ‘anointed heir' set to steal momager crown from ‘dull' Kim
THEY'RE America's answer to the royal family, so it's no surprise that - when it comes to the Kardashians - the order of succession is very important.
After all, as the reigning matriarch, momager and queen bee of the billionaire brood, Kris Jenner, 69, has big and expensive high heels to fill.

But while, for a long time, it looked like Kim Kardashian, 44, was primed to take over when Kris eventually retires - it now seems she's being pipped to the post.
Yes, according to sources, Khloe Kardashian is a shoo-in to take the crown and become the one that rules them all - and she seems to have been quietly anointed by Kris, who has praised their special "bond".
'Khloe's always been the one with Kris' big personality,' an insider close to the famous family exclusively tells The Sun. 'She's got a lot to say for herself.'
As it stands, the 40-year-old is bossing her way to the top of the pile, career-wise.
As well as starring on her family's fly-on-the-wall Hulu series and recently launching her own health snack, Khloud protein popcorn, she also fronts her own podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land.
And now, it seems she's branching out again, with the announcement of her upcoming TV project, Calabasas Behind The Gates.
The Hulu show is still in the early stages of development but, according to Disney executive Rob Mills, it will shine a spotlight on 'people in the extended lives of the Kardashians', with Khloe inviting us behind the gates to get to know the very wealthy enclave where she and her family live.
Not bad for a reality star who, for years, was cruelly branded the 'ugly sister' of the family, living in the shadows of her uber glamorous siblings.
These days, it's Khloe leading the charge, and she's leaving everyone else in the shade.
'Khloe's the one being groomed as the successor to the Kardashian brand,' says our insider, who's watched Khloe climb the ranks since first finding fame on her family's reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, in 2007.
Brave Kim Kardashian to face Paris attackers and reveal the true horror of jewel heist
'She's really in her element doing her podcast. She loves letting rip and tapping into her creative entrepreneurial energy. It's unleashed all her Kris-inspired girl boss ambitions.'
Since first launching her family into the spotlight almost two decades ago, momager Kris has continued to oversee all Kardashian-Jenner dealings, as head of Jenner Communications.
As well as being co-producer of their eponymous reality series, The Kardashians, she also manages all six of her children's careers, and has a stake in their personal and joint businesses.
That means she gets 10 per cent of gross revenue from every product, modelling job, and TV show concerning her daughters.
She also has some equity in their massively successful enterprises, including a 1 per cent stake in Kim's shapewear brand Skims (valued at $3.2billion), 5 percent of Kylie's $900m make-up brand Kylie Cosmetics, and 10 per cent of Khloe's fashion firm Good American.
All that means Kris is sitting atop a very pretty pay packet - making her heir apparent very powerful in the process.
All Kardashians and Jenners are, obviously, incredibly high earners, but Kris ultimately has power over the purse strings.

But she's not just the manager, she's the mum too, so general consensus is that it will take a savvy, yet nurturing person to claim her spot. That's where Khloe comes in.
Appearing on Khloe's podcast last month, it was Kris herself who highlighted her third daughter's maternal nature - and how she'd been so helpful in her teenage years, when Kris and her then husband, Caitlyn Jenner, welcomed Kendall, now 29, and Kylie, now 27.
Older sisters Kourtney, 46, and Kim had already moved out, leaving Khloe and younger brother, Rob, 38, the eldest siblings at home.
And according to Kris, it was Khloe who stepped up.
'My relationship with you changed the minute I had Kendall,' she told her daughter. 'You really grew up and came to bat for me - you were like my little helper…You knew I could use the help.
"That not only made your bond with them so strong, but it made our bond so strong.'
Almost 30 years later, that bond is still incredibly tight - linking Khloe both to her mum, and her older and younger siblings.

As the middle child, she probably spent the most time with all siblings in the early stages of their lives, and it's clear through her social media posts and their time on screen that she still loves spending time with all five of them.
Even Rob, who's infamously reclusive and sometimes distant from the family, is known to rely heavily on Khloe; he even lived with her and her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, after they got married in 2009.
All siblings have different relationships and dynamics, but the one consistent is Khloe - making her 'momagerial' prospects all the more promising.
As for her biggest rival, Kim, there's no denying that the latter is a shrewd and savvy businesswoman. Alongside Kris, she capitalised on her 15 minutes of fame - as Paris Hilton's friend and sometimes assistant - to become a pop culture icon.
Kim is famous for her discipline and razor-sharp ambition, which she's put to use across the board: from repeatedly changing her look to garner the most attention on red carpets, to studying law in her spare time and campaigning for jail reform.
Her brand, SKIMS, is going from strength to strength while her own children, North, 11, Saint, nine, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, five - who she shares with ex-husband Kanye West - are all shaping up to be viable members of the Kardashian money-making machine.
18
In this sense, she too could be a worthy replacement when Kris hangs up her work boots for good.
But, as our insider explains, Kim's more focused on her own nuclear family, as well as her personal projects.
She's also lacking that 'wild card' that makes Khloe such an exciting option.
Between the two of them, it's Khloe who would take big risks in the hope of big rewards - just like Kris did when she first put her entire family in front of the cameras 18 years ago.
'A lot of people always thought it would naturally be Kim to take over the family empire,' says our source. 'But the truth is she's just too 'straight' - read: dull.
"She's also too busy with her own career, and North's. Khloe stepped out of the limelight for a while as she dealt with her personal life and just wanted to be present for the kids.
"But Kris knew that, when she got a taste of doing the podcast, she'd be back in the driving seat.'
There's no denying that Khloe's had her setbacks over the years - especially in her personal life.
18
When the family first found fame, Khloe was labelled the 'wild child' of the family.
She was arrested for driving under the influence in 2007; she was then jailed the following year for violating her probation, but only ended up serving three hours of her three-week sentence due to prison overcrowding.
She later reflected on how her father's death, Robert Kardashian Sr, following a battle with oesophageal cancer had left a lasting effect on her and had caused her to lash out.
Still, she overcame those demons - but was faced with further turmoil thanks to bad luck in toxic relationships.
First, there was Lamar, who's admitted he cheated on Khloe throughout their marriage and struggled with drink and drug addiction.
They first split in 2013 but after the former basketball player was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel following an overdose, Khloe delayed proceedings. The divorce was finally finalised in 2016.
Then, following a few other flings, Khloe met and fell in love with NBA player Tristan Thompson.
18
She became pregnant the following year before finding out, a day before she gave birth to her daughter, True, now seven, that he'd been repeatedly cheating on her.
The pair took a second stab at their relationship but split at the end of 2021 - before welcoming their son, Tatum, now two, via surrogate.
These days, Khloe's also overcome her romantic demons. She and Tristan have a very healthy and happy co-parenting relationship, but she's kept any other romances largely out of the spotlight.
While her priority remains her children, they're now at a stage when she can take on bigger projects in the public eye, which is why her new show couldn't come at a better time.
And, as our source tells us, that's only the beginning for this matriarch-in-training.
'With the new TV show, I understand it's a very new vibe,' says our source. 'This is Khloe stepping into her 'media mogul era' and taking up the ropes.
'Her family show is dull, and she now wants to do a much more spontaneous and authentic style of TV, showing life behind the gates of their Hidden Hills community.
'Khloe has always said it would be amazing to do a show there, doorstepping the most famous faces for their input into debates, going inside their houses, chatting about whatever: what they had for breakfast, the news of the day, what they are wearing…Khloe is the woman to do it.'
18
Obviously, Kris isn't going anywhere at the moment. Why would she?
As the most famous momager in the world, who Interview magazine called the '21st century's preeminent female pop-cultural brand-builder', she's as committed as ever to the family brand and is constantly cooking up new ideas.
But, in the meantime, Khloe's shaping up to be a worthy deputy, primed to step into the main role when the time calls for it.
We can just hear her now, moulding the next gen of mini Kardashians with all the money-hungry glory of her momager predecessor, cooing excitedly, 'You're doing amazing, sweetie!'

Kerry Katona found love on Celebs Go Dating after heartbreak as age gap shared
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, 44, confirmed her break-up from Ryan Mahoney, 36, in November last year but it's claimed she's now found love again Kerry Katona had reportedly found love on Celebs Go Dating after her split from ex Ryan Mahoney last year. The former Atomic Kitten singer, 44, confirmed her break-up from Ryan, 36, in November last year. He then moved out of their shared house, bringing to an end their six-year romance. After her split, she enjoyed a holiday in Thailand, where she said she had experienced a "real spiritual awakening". She recently said about her single life: "I'm not heartbroken anymore and feel like I know that Ryan wasn't the one for me." And now, it has been reported she has moved on with a personal trainer, Paolo Margaglione. According to reports, Paolo is 33 and "neither of them is bothered by the age-gap" "Kerry looks better than most women half her age at the moment, and is young at heart," a source told The Sun. "Paolo thinks she's super sexy and has told all his mates that he is the lucky one. "Meanwhile, Kerry loves the fact that she has a younger man again." The Mirror have reached out to Kerry's reps for comment. According to his social media page, Paolo is a father of two who works as an online personal trainer. After her holiday in Thailand, Kerry revealed to New Magazine: "I'm now working on creating my own relaxation package here at The Beach Samui Hotel, where people will be able to book a week-long holiday. "I'm a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself. I know people do things like dry January and diets, but I don't drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I'm not into any of that." Earlier in the year, Kerry hinted that the split wasn't just due to a 'breach of trust' as she seemingly revealed there to be more behind their decision. Taking to Instagram, she shared a cryptic video, stating that people shouldn't settle for another individual who makes you "guess where you stand with them." The TikTok clip, originally posted by American date and relationship coach Natalie Bell, hints at relationships being one sided. In the clip, Natalie said: "I hope you never settle for somebody who makes you guess where you stand with them. I hope you find somebody who never makes you question your worth, or wonder if you're asking for too much, and who never makes you feel like they're half in, half out. "I hope you find somebody whose actions are match up with their words. Who makes you feel like love isn't just a guessing game or a battle? You have to continue to fight to be chosen. I hope they not only treasure you when things are going well, and it's easy to love each other. I hope they choose to charter you even when life gets hard. "I hope you get to be with somebody who makes you feel like you're their favourite thing. I hope you never have to sit awake at night overanalysing, overthinking, and ruminating over something that they said."

I went on my first Disney cruise with classy champagne bars, watercoasters and West End-style shows
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) 'IT'S Cinderella!' a young girl exclaims, rushing past. Nostalgia floods over me when I turn around to find the fairytale princess floating towards us in her dazzling blue ballgown complete with shimmering tiara. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 5 I may be in my late twenties but I can't help feeling giddy with excitement over meeting one of my childhood icons Credit: Alice Penwill 5 Aladdin is one of the West End-style productions in the onboard theatre on the ship Credit: Steven Diaz Photo LLC I may be in my late twenties but I can't help feeling giddy with excitement over meeting one of my childhood icons. And this magic happens everyday on a Disney Cruise. I was on board the Disney Fantasy sailing across the Med as the ship embarked on its first ever season in Europe. It's easy to see why they named her Fantasy. As I explored the 14-deck vessel, I still had to pinch myself as I regularly came face-to-face with other childhood heroines I'd grown up watching, such as Jasmine and Mulan. Many kids relished the opportunity to don their favourite princess costumes every day. However, I wasn't expecting the cruise to be such a big hit with the adults, too. In fact, there are so many adult-only areas around the ship where parents, couples or solo travellers can kick back and relax, away from the excited giggles. The spa is a haven away from the action with heated loungers and rainforest showers as well as a Jacuzzi that looked out over the endless ocean. For a sophisticated evening, classy champagne bar Ooh La La serves elegant tipples like the Elderbubble, a champagne and elderflower concoction topped with a raspberry. An All-New Adventure Is On The Horizon Or there's the Irish-inspired, O'Gills, and lively club-bar, while The Tube serves drinks late into the night. Aside from the watering holes, there are two adult-exclusive restaurants too — Remy, which dishes up fancy French plates in a glam setting, and Italian-style Palo which serves traditional dishes but with a modern twist. For a properly-personalised experience, though, check out the three main restaurants: Royal Court, Animator's Palate and Enchanted Garden, which serve three-course dinners as part of the 'rotational dining'. This gives guests the same waiting staff every night who will get to know likes and dislikes and suggest dishes accordingly. I had the lovely Sheree from the Philippines who made sure everyone was thoroughly fed, and Adroy from India who gave our table puzzles every night to keep us entertained. When it comes to on board activities, the list is as long as Rapunzel's hair, with everything from Disney trivia quizzes to crafts, silent discos, and character meet-and-greets. It would take weeks do them all. Luckily, on day one I'd met a passenger who was on her fourth Disney cruise and was happy to share all of her tops tips. It's from her that I learned about the onboard tradition of 'pixie dusting'. 5 The stunning adults-only Cove pool is one of the areas where parents can get some respite 5 The impressive 14-deck Disney Fantasy cruise liner lives up to it's name Experienced guests spread the Disney love by leaving little goodie bags filled with either soft toys, door magnets or smaller knick-knacks on fish extenders attached to neighbouring cabin doors. They don't expect anything in return. It's simply a gesture of goodwill. The magic continued up on the top deck where many of my days were spent flopped on a sunbed, soaking up rays and tucking into ice cream, all while watching Disney favourites on the outdoor screen where films are played on rotation from morning til night. To cool off, there are three small pools, one of which is adults-only, and the famous AquaDuck — a 765-foot long water coaster, which features on several ships in the fleet. Or you can head inside to watch one of the West End-style productions in the onboard theatre. I saw amazing shows like Aladdin and Frozen as well as Disney's Believe, a musical exclusive to Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream which didn't leave a dry eye in the room. If that's not enough Disney for you, guests can get stuck into themed evenings, including a formal night where fans waltzed around in glittering ballgowns, as well as pirate night. Although, to my relief, you won't be judged if dress-up isn't your thing. I was having so much fun on board, I'd almost forgotten that we would soon be docking in a new destination. My trip started in Barcelona and we'd had an action-packed day at sea before arriving at the first stop, Civitavecchia, a quiet costal town an hour away from Italy's bustling Rome. 5 A stop off in Italy allowed Alice to see the famous landmark of the Leaning Tower of Pisa Credit: Alice Penwill Then it was on to the port of Livorno where I joined an excursion into Pisa. Soon, I was standing outside of the famous Leaning Tower, snapping away with my hands held up, replicating the famous leaning pose. Despite being the most recognisable view, the tower still didn't compare to the one at the next stop, Genoa. From D'Albertis Castle, a fortress carved into the hillside, I was able to look out over pastel-toned buildings, backed by rugged mountains, with the sea in the distance. Those who have the energy can climb their way to the top on foot but I chose to take the funicular. Our final stop was Toulon in France's Provence region, a haven for wine lovers and the perfect place to toast our Disney adventure. If Disneyland is the happiest place in the world, then the Disney Fantasy must be the happiest place on the Mediterranean Sea. GO: DISNEY FANTASY SAILING THERE: From late July to September, the Disney Fantasy will sail from Southampton on three to eight-night sailings around Europe. In summer 2026, the Disney Dream returns to Europe for Mediterranean cruises. A three-night cruise on board Disney Fantasy costs from £243pp per night based on two adults and two kids sharing a cabin in August.
