What really caused backlash following a video of woman's feet on a plane
A video she posted to TikTok has gone viral after she filmed her daughter seated beside a stranger who had their bare, dirty feet propped up on the chair between them.
We're talking overgrown toenails, misshapen toes, and dry skin so crusty it's begging for a PedEgg intervention.
The clip has racked up more than 10 million views and sparked plenty of opinions in the comment section.
'You should have said something'
It's set to the trending 'Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday' sound, a popular track used to poke fun at holiday fails.
People have slammed the unsavoury passenger behaviour.
'That's so rude,' one person writes.
Not ideal, if you ask me.
'Maybe she literally didn't think of that!'
Commenters on the post agreed that the woman had gone too far, suggesting that the person behind contact a flight attendant to remove it.
'Flight attendants would make her remove it. Just call them,' said one person.
'Aside from the inconvenience of not being able to use the tray table, it is also covering up the safety instructions. That's enough of a reason for the flight attendants to get her to remove the bag,' another agreed.
'I'd just ask her to remove it because I can't open my tray anymore. Maybe she literally didn't think of that. If that doesn't work, I'd tell a flight assistant to please take care of it,' said a third, more sympathetically.
'How is this allowed?'
However, others had a more direct - though debatable less confrontational - approach.
'Or…. it's a plastic bag just tear out the back,' said one person.
'You absolutely can open it, ripping a plastic bag is easy,' another commenter agreed.
'How is this allowed? I would just rip it open from the back,' said a third.
'I would honestly try to move the plastic upwards just enough to uncover the tray. If that doesn't work, I'm ripping the shit out of it. Some people really have no consideration for others,' another said.

Prince Harry's latest peace offering to estranged dad King Charles and brother Prince William revealed
Prince Harry has reportedly agreed to share his official diary with the royal family as a peace offering to his dad, King Charles III, and brother Prince William. The olive branch would help avoid schedule conflicts between Harry and Meghan Markle's events and royal family engagements, the Daily Mail reported Saturday. The proposal is allegedly a way of shutting down claims that the Sussexes are trying to steal the spotlight from the British royals. The move came days after Harry's trip to Angola dominated headlines and buried Charles' wife Queen Camilla's 78th birthday portrait reveal. Harry's transparency could potentially pave the way for a face-to-face meeting between him and his estranged dad being scheduled into their busy itineraries, especially considering peace talks have allegedly been held between the two camps. 'Before that meeting between their aides in London, conflicts of interest or clashes of publicity were relished and even perhaps encouraged by the Sussexes,' an insider claimed to the outlet, adding, 'Now, Harry has shifted into a new way of thinking. The tone is now all about 'deconflicting' with his family.' The source explained that the Sussex household has offered to 'draw up a 'grid' of his activities and share them with Buckingham Palace.' In doing so, Kensington Palace would also be looped in on the plans, therefore keeping William and Kate Middleton informed. 'Harry still doesn't like being controlled by the Royal machinery, and that won't change,' the insider said. 'However, if the Royal Family have full sight of his movements they can at least plan accordingly.' The source called Harry's peace offering a 'significant gesture.' Page Six has reached out to Harry's rep for comment. Harry, 40, has been on the outs with his father, 76, and older brother, 43, since he and Markle, also 43, resigned from their royal duties in 2020. They ultimately moved to Montecito, California, where they live with their two kids: Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. The Invictus Games founder went on to drag his royal family members in several interviews as well as in his memoir, Spare. However, Harry has since shared his desire to reconcile with the reigning monarch and even allegedly invited his dad and brother to his 2027 Invictus Games. Meanwhile, Markle has been busy building her lifestyle empire with her Goop-like brand, As Ever.

Warning: These emojis could mean your partner is cheating according to a private investigator
The Coldplay kiss-cam scandal – which saw a married boss and his alleged mistress caught in an embrace on the big screen – has become a global talking point. But, while the story went viral, there may be a far less public and more discreet way to spot your partner is cheating. A top private investigator told Fabulous the secret code cheaters are using to hide affairs on their phones. While some go to extreme lengths to cover their tracks, others are using something far more subtle: emojis. According to Paul Jones from ARF Private Investigators, apps like WhatsApp and Snapchat have become a hotbed for hidden relationships, with secret codes, archived chats and sneaky symbols replacing the traditional love letter. People often think of cheating as something obvious such as flirty photos, late nights or secret calls. But Paul says many of the cases he works on start with something as small as a random emoji. Sneaky symbols He told The Sun: 'Over the past year we've seen an increase in people using everyday symbols as a way to communicate without getting caught. 'On the surface, it might look innocent, but there's usually a deeper meaning.' One of the most common signs? A flurry of harmless-looking messages with the croissant or padlock emojis. If these symbols are in your partner's most-used emojis – found by clicking the emoji icon on the keyboard when typing a message – it could be an indicator they are being used for an affair. These symbols may mean nothing to you, but to someone cheating, they are code for dinners, hook-ups, or secret messages. Paul added: 'We've had people using a croissant emoji as a way of saying 'meet me for breakfast', or the letter emoji as a subtle 'text me when you're free'. 'It's like their own language, one that their partner isn't meant to understand.' Here are just a few examples Paul has seen used in real cases: The private investigator added: 'Used once or twice they don't mean much. 'But when you see them appearing regularly in chats with the same person, especially late at night, they start to mean something more.' Warning signs So what phone habits should you look out for with your partner? Paul continued: 'Start with your gut. 'If your partner suddenly starts hiding their phone, keeping conversations short, or you notice new contacts with strange names or emojis, that's when you should start asking questions.' There are other ways to find out your partner is having an affair – Carla Bellucci had a decade-long affair with her now husband Gio, and she text Gio's ex evidence of their relationship. If you're at a crossroads in your relationship, or feel you need advice and support, The Sun 's Dear Deidre team of qualified counsellors are available. Read their advice for a woman who's fallen pregnant with a wealthy man's baby, who is struggling to come to terms with the fact he wants to take no responsibility for their baby. Four red flags your partner is cheating Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating. They start to take their phone everywhere with them In close relationships, it's normal to know each other's passwords and use each other's phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something. Aaron says: 'If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.' 'You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.' They start telling you less about their day When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you. 'If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don't want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.' 'Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it's an easy way to get caught out,' says Aaron. Their libido changes Your partner's libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron. 'Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating,' Aaron said. 'You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren't there before.' They become negative towards you Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify. 'To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere,' Aaron warns. 'Maybe you haven't walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime. A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating.'

Actress Sydney Sweeney's new jeans advert sparks wild claims about it being ‘nazi propaganda'
Actress Sydney Sweeney's new clothing campaign has sparked outrage after the people behind the ad played on the word genes and jeans. The Euphoria star was announced as the face of clothing brand American Eagle's new jeans campaign last Thursday. The advert's tagline is 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans' with the word 'genes' crossed out. In one of the campaign videos, the 27-year-old actress can been seen zipping up her jeans while lying down. In the voiceover Sweeney says: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair colour, personality and even eye colour. My jeans are blue.' The choice of wording and the emphasis on her blonde hair and blue eyes has sparked outrage online with some commenters going as far to claim it had sinister implications. 'Nazi propaganda,' one TikTok user wrote, linking it to the nazis' pursuit of Aryanism — an ideology linked to German racial supremacy where people with blue eyes and blonde hair were superior to others. Commentators slamming the ad campaign are going viral online with people accusing American Eagle of promoting eugenics, 'white supremacy' and linking it to the nazis. 'The most nazi part of the Sydney Sweeney ad for me was the use of the word offspring,' another person wrote on X. 'I like Sydney Sweeney and American Eagle as much as the next guy but 'we must secure the existence of our people and a future for our white children' is a crazy tagline for selling jeans,' another commented. The emphasis on genes is carried out across the entire campaign. In one part of the advert, Sweeney, dressed in full denim, is standing in front of a billboard for the campaign which reads 'Sydney Sweeney has great genes'. She then runs a brooms over it and in the next frame the word 'genes' has been crossed out and replaced with 'jeans'. The post on American Eagle's Instagram account has been flooded with comments from people sharing their disdain for the campaign. 'Welp, no longer shopping at AE ever again, and neither will my future children,' one person commented. 'What in the white is this?,' said another. CNBC, a partner publisher of reached out to Sweeney for comment. A representative for the actress declined to comment. American Eagle did not respond to a request for comment. In May, Sweeney confirmed she was single, after months of speculation that she and her fiancé Jonathon Davino had split up. 'I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it, ' she told The Times. On July 22, Sweeney posted a picture of herself in character for her new movie Christy, set to be released in September.
